Kevin McKidd in Talks to Star in "Thor"
Grey's Anatomy star Kevin McKidd is in high demand these days.
The handsome Scottish actor and new cast member has reportedly emerged as the lead contender for the title role in upcoming Marvel Comics movie Thor.
The 35-year-old star, who rose to fame in Trainspotting, said that there has been "a lot of back and forth" on the project, but nothing has been signed yet.
Kevin McKidd, who also starred in NBC's Journeyman and the period TV series Rome, and has been mentioned as the lead character in a movie version of the latter as well, said it would be an exciting live-action venture under Kenneth Branagh's direction.
Thor, written by Mark Protosevich, is scheduled for release in June 2010. It revolves around medical student Donald Blake, whose alter ego is Norse god of thunder Thor.
As long as he sticks around as Owen Hunt, we wish Kevin the best!
