Here's a sad piece of Grey's Anatomy news we hoped we'd never have to report.
According to court papers filed on November 22, Alex Young has petitioned for a divorce, citing irreconcilable differences with former Grey's Anatomy star Kate Walsh.
"The couple remain on friendly terms and sincerely hope the media will respect their privacy during this difficult time," the couple's reps said in a statement Thursday.
Walsh, who went on to star in the spinoff Private Practice after becoming an integral part of the Grey's Anatomy cast in seasons 2-3, wed Young – a production co-president at 20th Century Fox – on September 1, 2007, in the town of Ojai, north of Los Angeles.
In October 2007, Kate Walsh talked about the pair's whirlwind relationship, telling Ellen DeGeneres, "There was this kind of funny moment, after we were like we're married and all of the hoopla was over and we were like, 'What do we do now?'"
The two married after just a few months of dating.
Walsh's former Grey's Anatomy cast members, including Katherine Heigl and husband Josh Kelley, T.R. Knight, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr., Justin Chambers and wife Keisha, and Grey's creator Shonda Rhimes, were all in attendance at the nuptials.

oh no! looks like kate walsh is really becoming Addison Montgomery in real life.. that's sad but hey kate you know what to do.. you've seen addison rise above all the crap and divorce she has been through.. be your character.. you'll get through this kate =)

Ohhhhh...that's so sad, they were so happy and sweet together.
I thought their getting together was quite magical like love at first sight...been together for 4 months before getting married, dating for 1 month and engaged for 3 months...wow, I hope both parties are okay...
