The best parts of the episode:
    1. Cristina and Owen, and their trip to the vent. It was soooooo totally romantic! What with the cool music playing in the background and all.
    2. George noticing that "there's something wrong with Izzie." It was so cute: remember how he was also the one who noticed Burke's tremor in season 3?
    3. Alex's declaration of love towards Izzie. For the first time since four and a third seasons, I can finally say that I really like Alex as a character. I thought he was a jerk and all, with a BAD BAD BAD defense mechanism/self-preservation instinct that turns him into a jerk. But now he's letting his guard down, and he's vulnerable as hell. That's so sweet!
    4. Although I think the Mark and Lexie pairing would take a while to get used to, one cannot deny that writers give Mark the best lines on the show ever.
    5. Callie's reaction over Sadie's supposed flirtation was hilarious! And kinda cute, heh. Also, Sadie now has an actual purpose for being on the show! I wonder what's up with her father...
    5. A good excuse for real drama: Meredith and Cristina's declining friendship. Just when we used to gawk over Merder splitting up, now we have to contend with this. Meredith and Cristina's friendship had been the most stable relationship the show has ever had -- and now, fans are up in arms! WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN BETWEEN THESE TWO??

I can't wait. TOO BAD THE NEXT EP IS IN JAN.

I know that not everyone likes the Mark and Lexie pairing but I think it has potential. Besides they weren't going to put him with Callie; where's the drama? There really isn't any, I think they would be good together but eventually it might get boring or to predictable. Besides Callie needs to figure out who she is and what she really wants before hopping into bed with someone else.

Mark and Lexie there is a tone of potential there for drama and juicy storylines. Besides I think she is good for Mark's new leaf. I think there is a lot they can teach each other; Lexi is naive and Mark's still a litte wounded from Addison, together they can make one another stronger. And hey, if him giving Lexie Grey pity lays means we might get to see him in a towel again I'm all for it!

The "vent" episode was one of the most romantic ever. This poor Christina had been tortured all day long, everyone was harrassing her and hounding her there is this great guy who was attentive to her every needs and who offered her something so romantic to make her forget all her misery, it blew me off, it was a very powerful moment of television, the lighting, the atmosphere, everything was magic. Thank you.

I don't know about anyone else, but this episode, to me, was by far the best. The music was good, the twists were amazing, and I loved merideth quoting herself from the very first episode of Grey's Anatomy (when she told the people to stop betting on when Alex would choke -- just like they did to Goerge in 1-1).

I also really liked how George took concern for Izzy. If it is T.R. who is causing the drama....he better stop. Because this is a storyline that might be able to allow Izzy and George to regain their relationship as best friends.

Also, the thingy with Mark was amazing. They acted the entire thing out perfectly (the thing with Christina too).

  6. kyle Says:

oo i forget bout Dr. Dixon!!

she has a lot of potential...i think. If they keep going in the direction she is going in I think they could possibly make her important. I don't know about you, but both Christina and Merideth both seemed to feel sorry for her,as if Baily had told them about her syndrome.

I think it would be kool if Christina and Dixon became surgical buddies.I laughed so hard when Dixon made the weird noise while standing in front of Christina, after Christina had found her.

  7. Larissa Says:

Okay, for those of you who want to whine about MerDer. You can have it one of two ways: lots of MerDer screen time with drama and angst but they won't be happy in love. You can have them happy in love (which all of you asked for) and they seem "boring" and don't get a lot of screen time. Take your pick. I have yet to meet a couple who is happy that has drama and angst in their relationship.

Thank god for George noticing something is wrong with Izzie. Izzie obviously doesn't care enough right now to try to find out what is wrong with her. So here comes the best friend (apparently forgotten thanks to some whining by the actor) to save the day! Poor Alex, though. I gasped when he told her he loved her, and it was ruined by stupid Denny. I used to love Denny, one of my favorites, but now he's just ruining Alex, and Alex has come so far, I would hate to see him stomped into the ground again.

Mark and Lexie just seem icky to me. The whole teach me, teach me thing was overplayed. I was starting to like Lexie towards the end of Season 4, now she's back to irritating. I like Mark and Callie's chemistry, but they needed something for Mark since Callie is apparently going for Sadie (which I actually was happy about). They seem to have really good chemistry together.

My favorite, hands down, no questions asked, was Owen and Cristina. They are so good together. I watch every week waiting for them to take it further. I'm really happy with how they are handling that situation.

  8. drcookchick Says:

I hate Lexopedia with Mark. Hate it, hate it, hate it.

George = THANK GOD they showed him! I was watching for him last night (didn't acknowledge too much of the episode since I was on the phone), but let's just say I had to keep tearing that phone away from my ear to watch a certain boy that makes my heart skip and flutter...

Alex getting solo surgery. Ticked me off last night. I don't care now. Good for him!

Cristina and Owen at that vent thing = CUTEST THING. I LOVE them together. They are adorable. Love them.

Denny's parts that didn't involve creepy zombie sex last night, some that I had seen, were kind of cute. I'm starting to actually, sort of, like the Denny-Izzie thing. I don't like their freaky sex, because it makes me want to call the Ghost Busters, but still...

MerDer = never been a trooper, but I am starting to wonder why they aren't together all that much.

I liked the part where Bailey was chewing them out in the beginning XD Bailey's awesome.

I'll give a better recap after sitting down later and giving full attention to the whole episode.

    agreed with Daryl.

my random thoughts on this episode:

-omfg, George was actually in this episode! I'm so happy.
-Cristina and Owen in the vent thing were so romantic and awesome and yay. =] I love them together.
-Mark and Lexie... eh. I don't know.
-Dr. Dixon... I kind of like her, in a weird way. she's different. and wtf, that noise she made was hilarious. ahahah.
-I kind of like Callie and Sadie together o.o
-merder: I want more scenes with them together :(

and ew, now we have to wait until Jan. D:

I really enjoyed this episode. It truly was beautiful. I cried, I laughed... which is everything I always get out of Grey's. It's never lost me as a far, not for a second. Even with all the MerDer angst. It makes for great episodes.

Although we didn't get much MerDer at all this episode... the part we did get was enough. All the other story lines and twists made up for it as well.

Poor Alex. Izzie is messed up in the head and when it gets worse... her and Denny do the nasty. Luckily George has noticed that she's acting really strange. So...YEY! Izzie will get fixed.

Mer was really great this episode. Very compassionate. I do think that Mer is the most qualified. She has done many many surgeries, thought up clinical trials, flown solo sort of when Sadie was practically dying last week. She really should have been chosen for the solo surgery. But ah well. I really do think that it was personal between Cristina and Mer. But, I really can't stand Cristina this season. She's so annoying and just can't seem to hack Mer being happy. Sure MerDer need to talk about everything a hell of a lot more than they have, but hey... I'm optimistic for them.

I am totally worried and even cried when Derek admitted to Mer that he can't stand all the death. So touching! Perhaps this will create room for a discussion over Mer's NDE and what i really meant for Derek. How he is still scared of losing her. N all that. I think the fact that Mrs Shepherd is coming in will definitely create a bit of drama for MerDer. YEY! That is good. Drama and angst = great story lines for these two. Yeah i know angst gets old but, they wouldn't be MerDer without some problems.

Cristina/Owen... I'm really not caring about. ARGH! I'm way too crappy at Cris to care about her and her stupid love life. BAH! She needs to grow a brain! SERIOUSLY!

Lexie/Mark ... He's only gonna get hurt. I think he really cares for Lexie. He also really cares about MerDer...and he was told to keep little sloan out of little grey... so... MerDer won't be happy when they find out. And of course they will. But, maybe they might find out when Mark/Lexie... end up turning the sex into a relationship? Could happen.

The dancing Derek and the giggling her cute butt off Mer in the promo for 2009 Grey's... was just wonderful. I think it symbolizes some great things coming for them next year. I really think that this first part of the season, we haven't seen a lot of MerDer because they are giving the rest of the characters some story lines and air time. Then, I really do think that they will get more into MerDer.

    MerDer forever :)
