It felt like they ended it with hahn being so...nasty so people wouldnt miss her. BULL!

  2. jay Says:

I totally agree with Jess and Baylor =\
    I'll miss callica :(

  3. shadesxofxgrey Says:

I totally agree baylor. That was horrible. The way they just fired Brooke was wrong and the way they ended it by her just walking to her car. I loved Hahn and even though she was tough, she had a soft side. I agree, I don't know what Callie will do without her. It was cool how Erica was calm and happy when she was with Callie. I think they had good chemistry. This just sucks. They keep getting rid of people on GA and adding new people.

Good news, the lesbian relationship is over. It never belonged in prime time. They should have replaced Burke with another male doctor. Too many females and not enough males to go around.I hear they have two more females joining the cast. Where are the Boys?

  5. Baylor Says:

    4ccsofgreys,

Multiple characters, including Derek and the chief, have allowed their personal lives to affect their work lives. Sure, Hahn was rough around the edges, but so was Addison when she first came on the show. Hahn didn't really have much of a chance to settle in a develop, but I was starting to see glimpses of a good person here and there.

Her crap to Callie about not being bisexual - just bad writing.

I must again say that I HATE Shonda's statement about how Callie is the lesbian on the show. Umm, Callie is BISEXUAL, which you have, on more than one occassion, made very clear to us! While I think its great that Callie will spend time "mourning" Hahn, I must say that if Callie's character goes back to men, never has another female partner, or its just plain never mentioned again that she was "bisexual" - to me Callie's bisexuality has just become and experimentation.

I thought it was great! Loved it, actually. Hahn's character was unlikable-not as a lesbian-but as a person. She was negative about the staff, the interns, the surgeries. Never willing to go the extra mile or try the "hard stuff." And the fact that she has the revolutionary discovery that she's a lesbian then feels she can judge Callie based on her sexual choices (bi-sexual, possibly) is preposterous. Hahn was just unlikable. Loved, loved, loved the exchange between Hunt and Yang. Single malt scotch. Beautiful.

  7. Sophie Says:

    This is it?
What a crappy way to write her off, totally undeserved!
I din't watch what's going to happen next week, but I really hope Erica wont be killed-off!!
the line's of them both were stupid..I miss them already :(

  8. Jess Says:

If you noticed, Callie was sobbing over a patient with the rest of the docs in the room... leads me to believe that the spoiler that was mentioned in one of the other posts from the other day is true - Erica is literally "killed off." IMDB lists Brooke Smith's last episode as next week's, meaning she makes an appearance in more than just flashbacks from other episodes (like Denny)... but it doesn't mean she has any lines, if you catch my drift.

The breakup itself was the most awkward part of their relationship. If Erica meant to imply that she needed Callie to be "all in," that's one thing, but instead she basically discredited Callie's bisexuality. Even then, Callie may not necessarily be bisexual. It's not uncommon to have a gay relationship and never have another one again, or even be attracted to another member of the same sex again. Sometimes people just fall for people, regardless of gender. But it was unfair of Erica to criticize Callie for that, and also ridiculous that an argument about Izzie became a fight about their relationship. I feel like the "resolution" that occurred after Callie confessed having slept with Mark in the last episode wasn't a resolution at all, and Erica had decided then that she didn't want to be with Callie.

Even if I hadn't known that Brooke was fired abruptly, you could tell based on the writing of this ep that they needed to scramble to create some kind of window for her exit. It was forced, inappropriate in relation to the rest of the episode, and kind of unbelievable given Erica's revelation last week and her clear feelings for Callie.

This is all very upsetting, both from the standpoint of someone who became a Grey's fan because of Callica, and from the standpoint of someone who has a degree in broadcasting and can tell when a writer is forced to sacrifice cohesion and believability in order to accomodate an order from higher up.

  9. kinbea Says:

that episode was complete horse shit! what a shitty send-off for Brooke's character.choosing sides my ass.that was some thrown together at the last minute shitty writing with the big wigs at ABC looking over your shoulder.cristina and sloan interaction and the elderly couple was the only thing that made that episode halfway decent.

  10. McSeriously Obsested Says:

yeah, that's it, did you guyes see the ending of the show when they always show whats happening next week and Callie was crying, proably becausse Erica left. but seriously, what is Callie going to do with out her. she seriously going to go back to Sloan? that'd be wiered. I'LL MISS CALLICA!!! :(

  11. callie4ev Says:

Damn this last scene marks the end of callica. I thought i would be upset but i'm not. Its sad that Brooke Smith got fired, but I can't help but think that the shows going to become stronger. After all it will give shonda more to write about. I'm not sure why she was let go, i heard it was because of abc not accommodating a lesbian couple and I guess because shonda wouldn't know what to do with her character. I'm a big grey's anatomy fan and have a love for the writers, i really don't believe it was shonda's doing, I don't think she could have done anything.

  12. rentaholic07 Says:

I love love love love love how owen refers to cristina as a single malt scotch....I see a future for them....fingers crossed
