Jessica Capshaw to Guest Star on Grey's Anatomy

The list of Grey's Anatomy guest stars keeps on growing.

On the heels of the arrival of a new head of trauma, Dr. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) comes word that another fresh face will soon be scrubbing in at Seattle Grace.

Jessica Capshaw (The L Word, The Practice) will play Dr. Arizona Robbins, a pediatrician who’s called in to consult on a case and ends up butting heads with Dr. Bailey.

According to the L.A. Times, Capshaw is signed for at least three episodes, though that could lead to more. She will make her first appearance midway through Season 5.

Jessica Capshaw

Jessica Capshaw is the latest to sign on for a high-profile Grey’s Anatomy guest stint.

Both Mary McDonnell (Battlestar Gallactica) and Melissa George (Alias) begin their runs in the November 13 episode, called "These Ties That Bind."

They will play a cardiac surgeon with Asperger’s syndrome and a bisexual intern who shares a past with one of our favorite characters, respectively.

Combine that with McKidd and another cameo by Jeffrey Dean Morgan (the late Denny Duquette of Season Two fame) and we've got quite the guest roster this fall.

i wonder if she is going to be like a patient or something, usualy they are not really guest stars on the show unless they are patients.

man!!!!! we don't have time for new comers!!! they are only threats to current situations like Mer-Der! or they will take away the attention for a big new romantic relationship christina and hunt! and georges!! where is he? has he disappeared??? izzi and alex's new romance, callie/Erica, who's for mark??? we already have caracters in their peak... and they will come steel their flashes!

Too many characters and not enough story could kill the show completely.

I thought Grey's was meant to follow the story of Meredith, Cristina, George, Izzie and Alex from interns to surgeons, they are in danger of changing the whole dynamics of the show.

All this means less story for MerDer which is very bad!!!!

  7. Gabi Says:

I hear MG has signed a multi-year contract. I think they will fire George, and the day they do, I am done. He is my favorite.

  8. Pamela Hebert Says:

People started watching this show for the original five interns' story lines. To allow T. R. Knight to leave the show because he has been totally neglected in all of the story lines this year is just a stupid waste of his talent. He helped make Grey's Anatomy a hit and now they are showing their appreciation by just letting him leave because of their neglect. Why not show some appreciation for all of his excellent work and beef up his story lines? It worked for Kathryn Heigl. Izzie and George's friendship story line was wonderful. What happened to it? Use these two actors and showcase their talents, instead of more (sigh) mediocre guest star story arcs. What a waste & disappointment!
