    LOL
    Oh, Isaiah. You're funny.

  2. seriously_addicted2greys Says:

BRING BURKE BACK!!! HELL YEAH HE WAS AWESOME!!!!!

  3. seriously_addicted2greys Says:

totally agree with stephro.. a love triangle w/ burke/cristina/hunt would be awesome and ratings would definitely go up!!

To fan of the show- are you freaking serious?? SERIOUSLY! ellen pompeo is married to a man of color and they are one hot couple. You really just said that her and burke wouldn't look good as a couple because he is black and she is white? wow.. They wouldn't make a good couple because there is no chemistry and she is in the arms of Derek, not because he is a different color than her.

  4. McLovin_Greys Says:

Bringing Burke back would probably be the lifeline Grey's needs right now. Last week's episode was far below it's potential, so far to the point that I'm actually starting to lose faith in this show. The best episode by far is the one where Alex and Izzie declare that they're "all in." Other then that, it's been disappointing. Spice it up a little writers! I think bringing Burke back would do the trick!

  5. adriana Says:

I want him back too! it would be interesting to watch Greys with the owen and cristina thing also!

  6. ilovemcdreamy Says:

it wasn't Shonda's intention to fire Brook though, it was abc!! so he can't blame it on the show, it's the freakin' abc!!

  7. mdb Says:

When I saw the headline I had to laugh. His comments are on point, so as much as I hate to say it I agree with him on the firing issue. Not on the bringing Burke back issue though.

  8. Cate Says:

I think it was a shame that Brooke Smith was let go as I really liked her character, but I don't think IW has any business commenting on it since he's not there and knows nothing about the who, how or why. He's really just coming across as a media whore looking to see his name and opinion in print.

  9. CLmaster Says:

I REALLY want him back... but he should shut up.... his comments are lame and every time he speaks he sounds desperate and a little pathetic.... I really hope he gets back on the show, but he should have some selfsteem and close his mouth. WE NEED BURKE BACK!

  10. Maddiexoxo Says:

When will Isaiah realize... he's not wanted back on the cast. Haha. Good luck ever trying to get back onto Grey's Anatomy. I think the way that ABC handled Brooke Smith's letting go was a bit silly... but ... I think it was time for Dr. Hahn to leave anyways. I for one was bored with her character... in fact i really disliked her character. I also... got sick of the Callica relationship really quickly. It didn't really do anything for me. It was great that they wanted to, and tried to explore that kind of relationship on the show. But, it turned pretty crappy nearing it's end anyway. I for one am happy to see Dr. Hahn go. Now they can get back to more important story lines. Like, maybe putting more than 2 minutes of the Meredith and Derek relationship on each episode. They have made some progress, but not enough... because of the lack of screen time. All I'm asking for is 5-6 minutes...like we used to get. None of this, 30 seconds business. That's just silly! Ah well. Hopefully with the demise of Callica, we will get more MerDer. Maybe it was another reason for ending Callica? Maybe they got a lot of complaints that they were clogging up each episode and put all the other important relationships on the back burner. I know that was my problem each week. Except for episode 5. That was great. They broke up the screen time... to about 4 or 5 scenes. It made it more satisfying at the end of the episode, and it didn't feel like MerDer was just a book end to the episode. Anyways, I'd hate it if Burke came back. He was so controlling of Cristina and really didn't get her. He had this idea of who she should be... and forced her to try and be that person. I have no doubts that they loved each other. They did, in their own way. But, he wasn't as accepting of her as he should have been.

  11. Hailey Says:

I agree 100% with his opinion on the firing issue. He has everything right. I find it very interesting that he would come back to the show if given the chance. I had no idea that he had any wish of returning. That said, I think bringing Burke back to Grey's would do wonders for the show. Overall, season 5 is turning out to be a decent season so far, but looking over the past five seasons that Grey's has been on the air I think it is fairly obvious that the show is slowly spiraling downwards. I fear for the show in the near future, especially after Brooke's firing, and bringing Washington back would show maturity on ABC's part and would make for a very interesting plot twist as well. I absolutely do not condone what Washington was fired for doing/saying, but that doesn't mean he can't be given a second chance.

  12. anuflas Says:

To Maddiexoxo: WORD on MerDer. They need more screentime...is it that hard to show a happy couple doing couply things? Ugh, something good has to come out of all the Hahn drama and get them from 2 to...OMFG, dare I say 5 minutes? Seriously.

Maybe Burke should be back just for a couple of episodes, to close the story. I dunno...just a thought. :)

  13. Bonar1 Says:

I think there is more here than meets the eye as Alexholic says that maybe the writer should have been fired too. Brooke was only doing her job as prescribed by the writers, so the main fault should be with the writers and not with the actress. And if this is not the case, then there could have been more to this than what we are being told.

I think ABC should admit that they have made, not one but two stupid mistakes regarding Grey's Anatomy, firstly they should never had fired Isaiah Washington as that was a personal issue that would have been sorted out between TJ, Patrick and Isaiah themselves. Secondly, the firing of Brooke which is something of a mystery to me.

Season 4 was poor compared to the other 3 seasons, this was put down to the writers strike, but I think that the vaccum left by Isaiah Washington was a major contributing factor. Just as Grey's is starting to fire on all fronts this Season, ABC throw another spanner in the works.

ABC should admit they were wrong and not only get Brooke back but also Isaiah as well. It would make for fantastic storylines.

  14. Monique Says:

I agree. It doesn't make sense to punish an actor for doing his/her job. The writers and probably more Shonda should've been counselled for what ABC thought was "wrong" or whatever. I think there's something else. And hopefully it'll make it's way into the open soon.

  15. JJ Says:

I'm not sure it was right for Isiah to make comments about Brooke's firing. I understand why he did, he is trying to pacify people and show he has changed his way's. But cheapening it by saying bring Burke back, was just a shameless plug. Almost as if he is saying the show is nothing without him and he can save it from its downfall. While I can't deny he was a great character, he doesn't appear to be a good person.

Brooke Smith on the flip side seemed to be a great person, with a badly written character. People say they hated Hahn, but that isn't her fault. She played it as she was told to. Which in my eyes was excellent. She was a character that people loved to hate. Though slowly they began to chip away at the hard exterior and fans of the show started to like the character even, dare I say it, feel for her as she let her guard drop (Leaves anyone?) I feel that it was wrong of ABC to punish her for a writers judgement. If the character was not getting the response they wanted, then write something for her that will. Don't fire the woman for doing her job. I think the problem is that with the writers strike, tv stations are reluctant to bring the writers up on anything for fear of having another one. So they just let them roll with it, until complaints start, then take it out on the actors and actresses.

I for one, wouldn't like to see Burke back. Its time Christina moved on and opening old wounds wouldn't be fair. But I have to say if the rumours are true and its Hahn's heart they transplant into a patient, then I won't bother watching Grey's full time anymore. Maybe the odd episode. I just think that would be extremely disrespectful to Brooke Smith to kill off her character, without her even being there. They only usually do that for actors who have died IRL, and obviously can't come back for a closure to their characters life.

Sort things out ABC, surely by the response that Brooke Smith's firing has got, you must be feeling pretty stupid....

  16. LoveGrey's Says:

Isaiah is not doing himself any favours by commenting publicly on the Brooke Smith firing, but then again he probably knows there is no chance of going back to Grey's so does not care really.

The writers should have realised the Hahn & Callie story was not really working, and made changes to the script, not stick it out and wait for the network to step in.

For the public it was very sudden finding out that Brooke was leaving, but the whole cast & crew must have known for sometime, they would have been filming episodes without her in for awhile now.

  17. Leslie Says:

Oh I would love for him to come back! A Burke/Cristina/Owen triangle is something I'd pay good money to see.

  18. vstewart Says:

While I love the idea of having Burke back, I'm not that happy about the idea of having Isaiah Washington back.

About Brooke Smith's firing, Shonda Rhimes and her writers created this storyline. I'm still shocked that they let executives and homophobic viewers demolish the arc of two characters, Callie AND Erica. I had been enjoying Season 4 SO MUCH and now they will have to scramble to fill this void.

    ABC is CRAZY!

  19. die_lexie_grey Says:

I hope he doesn´t. come back, I mean. I think the show is great as it is, and this guy is just taking advantage of the circumstances to make this whole thing about HIM. Whatever he did or didn´t do, I still think that GA doesn´t need him back, and by the by, if he did come back, I would stop watching the show if Cristina even thought about taking him back. I mean, he dumped her at the altar and send not only Derek to tell her that he wasn´t coming back, but also his mother!!! I mean, please! And Dr. Hunt, the new one, is so perfect for Cristina...

as for Erica, I don´t really care why she was let go, but her character was not very nice and her relationship with Callie was so fake, I won´t really miss her.

Maybe the "cardio surgeon" is a cursed job, you know? like the defense against the dark arts teacher in Harry Potter...

  20. Jass Says:

Sorry in advance if my words offend Burke's fans. I feel like IW is using this incident to "protest" to the writers, rather than to have real sympathy on Brooke. It seems to me like he is asking the writers to *invite* him back to the show (but interestingly did not mention about bringing Brooke back though he said he was so sorry about her firing issue).

  21. vanessa Says:

    BRING BURKE BACK..
    Yang and burke forever

  22. guest6 Says:

Here's what needs to happen for the show to be saved: Shonda Rhimes needs to grow a spine. The reason we no longer have Burke or Hahn, and the fact that the directions of the stories, and screen time imbalances have occurred so much since the beginning of Season 4 (after Burke "left") is because Shonda isn't standing up to the Network's bullying. She buckles and does everything they want her to. If she would simply stand her ground and say "my way or the highway", the show would not suffer. If she simply told ABC she was packing her bags unless they gave her the majority of control over the direction the show moves in, there would be no problem. But in actuality, she bends to what they want, so we see people like Washington and Smith FIRED, and *gasp* gay relationships WRITTEN OUT of the script. It extends beyond these blatantly obvious blunders: look at the lobotomized relationships between George and Izzie, the laughable impaling of Christina with an icicle...

The show is suffering because Shonda Rhimes isn't standing up to the execs, she's bending over for them. If she had complete control of the show, we wouldn't have seen any of these ridiculous plot twists, and nonsensical cast member firings. I don't have anything against Shonda, I just think she needs to tell those old men at ABC who can't stomach a gay relationship, to wake up and join the rest of us in the 21st century.

If they brought Burke back the ratings would skyrocket.

  23. greysaddiction Says:

With all due respect, Isaiah Washington-- given the nature of the reason ABC so hastily let Brooke go, why should you even have a comment to make? Wasn't your exit the direct result of a gay slur you made towards a very respected colleague of yours? And your fighting with PD as well? Amazing the gull you have even commenting on the situation! That is my take. Period.

As for Brooke, unbelievably unfortunate situation. What were the suits of the network thinking? She's a great actress. If they disapproved of the storyline, then they should have insisted the writers rewrite in a different direction. Hahn was not my favorite character, but Brooke did act the part seamlessly. And Hahn had a lot of potential for further character development.

    As for
    fan of the show--
Really, what planet are you from? Your comments are bizarre. Your comment here offensive.

  24. Angie Says:

Is there a comment from Sara Ramirez about firing Brooke?

  25. *MrsMcArmy* Says:

This is all my personal opinion.. Everybody deserves a second chance. So if Burke were to come back I would be sooo excited.. It would definetly help the show.. These days missing Grey's Anatomy on a thursday doesn't bother me.. I feel like I'm not missing anything.. Which is very sad.. I applaud IW for commenting.. He could've said far worse..

They fired him for a gay slur.. They fired her for playing a lesbian pretty much.. But T.R. Still has a job... but we don't see T.R. On screen we see George O'Malley. And I love him lots.. They should really consider bringing burke not IW back for a couple of episodes.. I don't care what everyone else says he was a big factor of the success the show has... The 1st 3 seasons were the best.. And he was apart of it.. I honestly think they should use him for a couple episodes and then close the burke chapter.. The RATINGS need a boost like that..

As for brooke smith. What happened to her was really unfortunate.. They used her and let her go.. If i was shonda I wouldn't of started her and Callie's storyline in the 1st place.. Everyone could tell that it wouldn't go far.. And personally I didn't want it too... if you can fire IW over something that was said in the heat of the moment why have a Gay storyline? All that south of the border crap didn't do it for me..

Like I said my personal opinion.
