As controversy continues to swirl around Brooke Smith's firing from Grey's Anatomy, EW's Michael Ausiello offers the following insight in his weekly Q&A session ...
Q: What the heck about Brooke Smith leaving on Grey's Anatomy? And her last episode is this Thursday? And Hahn's final scene consists of her leaving work for the day? Insanity.
A: I'm going to give Shonda Rhimes the benefit of the doubt and assume she's intentionally leaving Hahn's exit ambiguous and, therefore, open to interpretation. Sort of like the Sopranos finale. Did Hahn get shot to death on the way to the parking garage? Did she pull a Thelma & Louise and drive her car off a cliff? Did the hospital's automatic doors malfunction and decapitate her? Did she return to Weeds? The possibilities are endless. Personally, I'm leaning toward the Thelma & Louise scenario. According to one of my Grey's Anatomy moles, Callie and Erica have a big, relationship-severing blowout in tomorrow's episode that starts with an argument over whether Izzie paid a big enough price for her role in Denny-gate (guest star Jeffrey Dean Morgan also supposedly makes an appearance tonight!), and ends with Callie realizing she doesn't love girls as much as Erica does. Hey, people have killed themselves over less.

Bull bull bull! Shonda has already said Callie will be the lesbian on the show. So one of them is lying....

when Erica leavs, i think she will get so mad at Izzie about the Denny thing, she will say something rong to like the police or sometihng like that, then they will do something to her, i don;t really know, something like that. i'm really going to miss her on the show. i'm really bumed out. :(

I don't necessarily agree with Callie being the "lesbian" on the show.....My theory is that she was "bi-curious", as proven by her sleeping with Mark twice last episode. I truly think that her and Mark should be together....they have tons of chemistry.

I could not stand the south of the border and seeing the trees story line. It is not homophobic as I would have been just as turned off if it were a heterosexual couple. TV has gotten vulgar in all rights and maybe ABC is starting to feel the backlash. I wish the other networks would follow suit. Our children are going to grow up thinking that it is perfectly acceptable to jump into any bed with anyone or anything without even knowing their name. There are no morals left on televion.

I think she will leave because of the fact that Izzie stole the heart from her patient, who she opviously likes.
Callie and Erica will have a fight..and she leaves to go to another hospital..and find her love there.
I hope she will come back thow..

I hope Erica puts everyone in their place, especially Callie, and goes out in full awesomeness of Season-4-Hahn. Shock and thunder! No more tears, please!

I'm going to miss Hahn so much!!! =[ I loved the Callica storyline, it was so different and exciting and I was so happy that Grey's/ABC was taking a stand to support the Gay/Lesbian/Bi.. community. And now, I am so disappointed.. I was looking forward to watching Callie and Erica's relationship evolving because it brought great depth to the show. It's so unfortunate that she was fired. I'm sure we are not hearing the whole story, and there was probably a lot of arguing and such between the writers and ABC and everyone. But regardless of what REALLY happened, I will miss seeing Brooke Smith on the show, and I hope in the future she will get to make another appearance! (I wish Burke would come back too)

If Callie and Erica have a "relationship severing blowout" about Izzie and Denny's heart that is bullshit. Callie had nothing to do with Izzie stealing the heart..
I am so done with being upset over this..ABC sucks...Brooke deserves better and she will go on to do bigger and better things..

What a bullshit!
Come on... Callie will defender her so badly that they will break up? The same Callie as in Callie that had her husband "stolen" by Izzie? Or at least was how she felt!
I can't believe she would just let this go and be on Izzie's side, not Erica's. Besides, Izzie and Callie merely look at each others faces... It will be soooo stupid if they end up because of this!
And I definitely don't want her to die! Actually, I don't want her to leave! But if this happen, it has to be epic! She deserves!
