There's no way in heaven that Brooke Smith was fired for portraying a gay character. Lesbians and gays are a hot commodity on prime time TV. I think the Hahn character just stood out like a sore thumb - couldn't connect to anyone but Callie - too beeyotchy to everyone else, and she didn't really contribute anything to the storyline other than 1) to mirror Callie to herself (show Callie she might be gay/bi) and 2) a mirror of Cristina - she doesn't teach what Cristina desperately wants to know, just as Cristina doesn't teach her interns what they desperately need to know.
Actually what I think could be a likely storyline for later this season is that Hahn DOES report SGH to the authorities over the LVAD incident and Izzie becomes the sacrificial lamb to save SGH's collective arses. Easy out for both actresses.
I totally don't get dead Denny either. I loved him, but he's gone now, and should STAY THAT WAY. Dead is dead. I agree with a poster above......why do they keep crapping on Alex? He's never going to be able to trust anyone at this rate. He just mentioned last epi that he'd had a year's worth of crazy already. :)
And.....am I the only one who's actually worried about Major McHottie here? I did not find his kiss with Cristina hot in the least-- I found it disturbingly borderline abusive. He's definitely the candidate for PTSD---and therefore certainly not a good time for him to be getting into a relationship. It looked to me like Cristina handled him well by shutting him down and walking away. He's got to work through a LOT before he's ready for my girl Cristina.
And the way the interns are behaving - I think between Hahn's leaving, possibly reporting the LVAD incident, and the interns cutting/performing surgeries - there's going to be a major, major shakedown at SGH. Number 12 might look good after this season is over with.

Imagine, for any reason, he was not dead... I know this is crazy but... What if after he was dead, in fact he wasn't but prefered to disappear to let Izzie breath or whatever reason... But in fact he is ALIVE.
That is too crazy even for Grey's anatomy, tell me it is, please... ;-) It is more for the Bold and the Beautiful LOL
I'll be semi upset if Callie suddenly ends up with Sadie. Callie's 'grieving' process was mighty fast if she does end up with Sadie, especially after her 'mini' breakdown last week :-( Poor Callie...if Sara really does end up leaving I'd love for her story to somehow include the fact that she misses Erica too much and has finally seen leaves and wants to be here.
I guess I can always wish!!! Looking forward to reading this sight after the show on Thursday, I always have to wait until Friday.

As far as Izzie goes; I definitely think this will be one of the most interesting storylines in the history of Grey's specifically because it could either turn into one of the most amazing stories or just flop like a dud. So the writers and Shondra better be careful of the end result.
I also don't believe Brooke was fired because of the gay story arc. They fired Isiah Washington for gay slurs towards T.R. Knight, or at least thats whats assumed he was let go for, so it wouldn't make sense for them to suddenly not support a gay character on the show. I definitely think they've planned out her exit, but I think it had more to do with the fact that her character was never the most likable thing in the world. And not in a good way, Mark is kinda taking over as the character we love to hate, Brooke was kind of just there.

If the show craps on anyone, it is George. He is the one that failed, that had tragic sex twice, that can't find love, that gets humiliated by losers like Mark and Alex and lose his girls to them and has no screentime at all, and George is a million times the guy Alexis.

It appears to me that the Chief is out of control.
SGH is # 12. Now all he cares about is getting to #1. He is allowing his residents to fight all the time and the interns are now on the same level that the doc's all treat the nurses. He is setting up risky surgeries all to get glory for his docs and through that himself. He blew up at Hahn (which I am actually glad he did, she needed a good chewing out), he blows up on the attendees and residents at random, and he is just losing control.
What if he fired Hahn cause he was afraid of all the mess? Hahn reports him and they investigate. They find he is not competent to lead and they can him?
hmm.... sorry my mind was wondering...
having said all that I love the characters of this show. I wouldn't replace any of them. I hope they don't cut any more.
I don't like the Denny thing and if GA goes in the direction of sleeping with imaginary dead people with no valid reason I dunno if I can keep watching.

Oh please. Shonda said she had been rooting for Gizzie since day 1 when they started and that she wrote their scenes and kept thinking they could tear each other's clothes out and make love right then and there.
She also said last season that Izzie was so so so over Alex and considered him a chick and that Izzie had never been in love with Alex and it was always more one-sided on his part.
She gave them a terrible breakup. Gizzie had at least someday, a sweet dance and exchanged I love yous while Izzie and Alex had even a dead guy is better than you, you deserve noone.
Izzie didn't think of Denny while with George but is now thinking of him all the time.
I don't see her liking AI. She is just scared of their fanatic fans.
George and Izzie in the time they lasted had some very beautiful loving scenes and both Kristen and Ass said Shonda wanted Gizzie to last but had been pressured to drop them, which is too bad as the ratings were a hell better when Gizzie were together.

Really? I remember other characters being backburner but I don't remember any of them having 10 seconds of airtime in an episode and saying about 5 lines total in the last three episodes.
So we have the right to whine about that.
We also have the right to complain about the fact not only did they cut our couple to bring up the ratings, and it just made them drop instead, but they also killed a friendship everyone loves.
No. 1 - George Sucks. I don't see how everyone thinks he is so great. He cheated on his wife. He tried to out Burke when his hand was messed up on the camping trip. He had sex with Mer when he knew she was vulnerable then acted all high and mighty because she cried becuase she was vulnerable! He dissed Izzie when he couldn't pass his exam. Then did the same thing to Lexie when he did. He sucks. Stop declaring him a saint.
No. 2 - Alex is there when you need him. He may be an ass, but check his record he is there when you need him.
No. 3- I hope they didn't get rid of Hahn because of the gay story arc, because that would make them guilty of the same crime they convicted Isiah washington of.

4 - I really don't think that they are going to go there with Sadie. I don't think she and Callie will have a gay relationship. I interpreted the spoiler as that Callie will be unsure of how to interpret Sadie's friendliness and that will keep her soul searching about her relationship with Hahn and what that might mean about her sexual orientation. But I don't think Sadie's going to be a love interest for her. I really hope I'm right about this one.

Has Alex ever apologized or taken responsibility for his disgusting actions, the stupid bitch to izzie, the cheating on her, the verbal abuse, the screwing with a amrried woman? Alex also took out his frustrations on Izzie when he failed his exam, remember? Didn't he treat her like crap throughout their first date?
Burke was doing illegal surgeries on people. He could have killed them. Hello would you really want this doctor operating on you with a shaky hand. George is a hero for stopping him and probably saved many lives so did Cristina, his own girlfriend, who ratted him out.

George was drunk when he cheated on callie. It was once, he felt horribly guilty. Callie had a guy whose dad just died a week before go elope with her knowing he was half crazy out of his mind.
Alex never showed any guilt for sleeping with married mom Ava, did it repeatedly and sober.
It is funny you say Gizzie is crap but all the reasons you list for not liking Gizzie are exactly the reasons why he is so perfect for her. He fights for her and her interest and she does the same for him. It is called unconditional love. And they sure weren't kissing like siblings in that elevator. My guess since all of the interns (discluding Lexopedia and Sadie)are lower profile, it's one of them. And if I had to place five bucks on it, I'd guess Steve is the third and final one to leave the show. It looks like something could happen to him. George and Izzie were not crap. Alex is abusive, twisted, dysfunctional and cruel. George is sweet, caring, gorgeous, loving and funny.
I feel sorry for you that you find abusive sexier than nice but I can tell you most girls will sleep with a guy like Alex then dump him and fall madly in love and marry the guy like George.
George was drunk when he cheated on callie. It was once, he felt horribly guilty. Callie had a guy whose dad just died a week before go elope with her knowing he was half crazy out of his mind.
Alex never showed any guilt for sleeping with married mom Ava, did it repeatedly and sober.
It is funny you say Gizzie is crap but all the reasons you list for not liking Gizzie are exactly the reasons why he is so perfect for her. He fights for her and her interest and she does the same for him. It is called unconditional love. And they sure weren't kissing like siblings in that elevator. If you kiss your brother like that, you need some psychological help or you are stupid.

Gizzie has a million times more chemistry than Lexziepuke and have true love which is why Izzie never dreamed she was having sex with Denny when with George.
It is well known Shonda adored the Gizzie couple and was only forced to drop them because the haters were such nutcases who spammed everything.

You complaining about it ain't going to get Shonda to change her plans because of your crying...When you guys start making the big bucks and writing your own TV shows then you can make and Iz and George show where they can be the most perfect little couple..and you know what I bet no one would watch it because IT WOULD SUCK!!

Know what I just realized? We're idiots. Here's why:

My guess since all of the interns (discluding Lexopedia and Sadie)are lower profile, it's one of them. And if I had to place five bucks on it, I'd guess Steve is the third and final one to leave the show. It looks like something could happen to him. Or maybe, just maybe, one of the other interns'll get the boot. Hopefully. Not to sound cold or anything, of course...

Several of us are not liking the fact that Izzy is sleeping with a dead guy! This is too weird and becoming more like a soap opera instead of the award winning drama it was. They better get out of this soon, or they'll be losing their credibility

I am not happy about Denny coming back if he is dead; and if he is not, how can he be alive if he died and Mer saw him when she was dead? Why the strange storyline - aren't the writers creative enough to get rid of Izzie without bringing back her deceased fiance?

I don't care what deep and mysterious issue is going on with Izzie, this storyline with Denny is just FREAKING IRRITATING CREEPY and totally jerking on my PUKE reaction. I am glad I TIVO Grey's Anatomy so I can quickly fast forward that train wreck. I liked Denny was he was dying and now every time I see him I want IZZIE to stab him with a fork since he's "so real" and KILL him again. Shonda please pull the plug on this nonsense as quickly as you guys pulled it on Dr. Hahn. If Kathrine Heigel wants to leave the show let her go off into the sweet good night or throw herself in front of a train, but do it NOW and spare us the over the top drama.
