I am still so damn furious about this. "they chemistry wouldn't work out in the long run"... oh i'm sorry, but i'm pretty sure the whole reason their relationship started was because of THEIR CHEMISTRY. It was the whole point. They didn't click because they were both gay, they clicked because they clicked. I don't think this is the way Shonda had intended it. It's just extremely sad that she has to let this happen and have the network change the way she want's to write things. I can't believe people are still homophobic. Really unfair.

I think Brooke Smith is an excellent, excellent actress and I loved Erica Hahn. She was caustic, but very funny. If the suits didn't like where the storyline with Callie was going, why didn't they have the storyline go in another direction instead of dropping Brooke Smith? Callie and Mark could have gotten together and Erica could have had a thing with the new bi-sexual girl. Callie and Erica weren't working anyway. They seemed to be trying too hard. That is too bad.

I'm not a homophobe or any of the sort. But even I guessed this was coming. The network execs at Disney are stuck in the Guy/Gal era, and as a "family" company, they probably think that it's too risque' to show to much detail on a lesbian relationship. Which sucks, because Callie and Erica had potential for a great relationship.
OMG!! i am going to miss erica and what she brought to the show! im also goin g to miss brookes acting! I LOVE HER!! i think im going to have to satay home and mope for a while!! But we'll see what they do next!!

As a lesbian I found parts of this story-line difficult. But I could identify the process each character was going through as we all have had to come to terms as to who we are as people during some point in our lives. I'm not surprised that ABC pulled the plug on it, but I am disappointed. Seattle, WA is a very diverse community. There is a huge gay population located there and it doesn't seem realistic that there isn't that popultation represented on this show. As far as Shonda Rhimes giving the company line that they still have a lesbian character, Callie, I must remind her that they have not wriiten the character to identify herself as such and as long as she continues to have intimate relationships with men, she will not be labled as such and Shonda and ABC are on safer ground
I have watched this show since it's begining. I love the characters, the different storylines. I laugh and cry every week. Brooke's termination makes me sad on a very human level. If Shonda or ABC decide they can "fix" Callie, or make her "normal" again, I will shut this show off for good and I will encourage everyone I know to do the same.
I'm done with mainstream America deciding if our sector of the popluation is acceptable or not. We are not a fad. We are human beings and our stories, characters, and lives are not up for being fired.

I was surprised to see them get rid of Hahn so quickly. The way the storyline was developing, they could have just ended her relationship with Callie quite easily. I don't think how they did it was very fair to Brooke. Also, I did not see any chemistry between George and Izzie either. I was choked with that whole storyline. I preferred to see George with Callie. They had chemistry.
