This sucks!!! I was never a big fan of Callie and Erica together as a couple but I did like Erica's character. She wasn't a replacement to Burke, but she was a great addition. :(

I'm very disappointed to hear this. I liked Erica a lot, a whole lot more than Burke, but I would rather see her let go than see the show get cancelled. ABC is owned by Disney, the idiots that started up that High School Musical B.S. Otherwise known as a "family network".
It is starting to seem cliche now with this show though. The last different, really good story line they had going (AKA, the GIZZIE story line) it got dropped and left hanging half-ass. I liked Izzie better back when she was with George. She was funnier, sweet, and I think a little less self-absorb. I wasn't too entirely fond with that George and how broken he was, but the story line was good. It wasn't the same old B.S. you dealt with with the infamous, highly overrated couple "MerDer."
But of course, I think I like Lexie and George better, but poor George is still too blind and all "omigaww I'm a surgeon yow!"
Oh wait, this is about Brooke Smith. Duh.
I hope to see her get in with another show soon. She is a very good actress, and I'll miss her character.

SGH seems cursed.All white characters became either whores or lesbians.The black characters survived. The more white the charecter was the deeper went in the sin. We want white antimagic
if possible. More romantic and more traditional values will be nice.
Although I was very surprised by this news, I can't say I'm bothered by it. The character of Hahn was very stiff, very negative and not very likeable. I'm all for a gay relationship on Grey's-but Callie seemed so much more real in her approach (minus the extremely funny, probably unrealisitc tips from Mark.) Other than Callie there is not one character that has been able to "bond" with Hahn. She was not a good fit. Best wishes to Brooke Smith-but let's move on. I can't wait to see Mary MacDonnell as a cardio Doc with aspergers!

I don't think it has anything to do with the storyline or them being lesbians, the chemistry is horrible between them. George & Izzie had horrible chemistry, too...you just can't help it. If it doesn't work, ditch the storyline and move on. Hahn has been a downer since she joined the cast.

Isn't it funny that this revelation of Brooke being let go from the show, comes right as Proposition 8 is being voted on. ABC have shown where they stand on it. If she was let go two months ago, why now, right before people get to vote to keep gay marriage in California (Or get rid of it, which would be disgusting) do ABC go and fire the openly gay character? I think it will backfire and hopefully draw out all the people who weren't going to vote, who are now angry that this character was axed to please the homophobes, no matter what spin ABC put on it. First of all what they did to Brooke Smith was horrible, I mean "hey! you're fired,, this episode it your last one. bye!". How rude can they be to do this. As with the couple, they didn't have "that thing" but they were funny. I'm a resident doctor and I know how doctors are and Erica Hahn is a very known "type of doctor" and it was very interesting thing to watch how the strongest people can melt and become sensitive. But again, they blew the topic off. Brooke Smith is a very good actor and I'm sure she will be selected for other roles in movies or series way better than Grey's Anatomy. It was my favorite show, well thanks to ABC... not anymore.

Plenty of people have been saying they knew TR was gay from the start because he seemed so gay. Those same people blamed him for callica and IW getting fired. They are the minority but they speak extra loud. With him not having any scenes lately, I fear for him. He is too vocal in the gay community for his own good. I love him with both Izzie and Lexie and never had any problem believing him as a hetero male.
I didn't like Callica but they didn't have to fire Brooke and the way they did it. It seems Shonda is blaming Brooke for the bad reception to the pairing too. The woman is such a gutless coward first with Gizzie and now this.
