Yeah that is why the ratings keep falling. The AI fans might spam the polls but the ratings speak for themselves. Most people don,t buy into this abusive sick couple.

The Gizzie fans have elft the show. Yay! And any one with any smarts.

  2. McAbby Says:

George rules. He is portrayed badly, but he is not a bad guy. I think lexie has a point, but she took it too far. Sure, he should have asked for her, but i am pretty sure he knew it would not make a difference. As bailey said, "Do you think i got to choose my interns?" They dont get a choice, but it would not have hurt to make a request. I think she is still upset about when he ditched her for izzie and mer. Izzie and alex...well i have never scene them as a couple. I think that is one we'll have to see to believe. I am not too keen tio the idea, but at first i hated callie and george, but i saw different later. who knows. we should give them a chancwe before deciding. I really didnt like Gizzie tho. Trust me, best friens are ment to stay best friends. It was a good couple on paper, but i dont think it would have worked. i love them as best friends. I hope that callie and erica stay together. I really thought that they would work, but there seem to be no happy endings. ever. Bailey was the best part of this episode. By the way, why is everyone so cranky! This was the best one so far i think. If one couple bugs you, just give it time. They may grow on you.

  3. Guillaume Says:

Well McAbby, now we are not even getting Gizzie as best friends or do you count the 40 seconds scene last week, the first in 4 months, as sign of their friendship. We have nothing.

And please tell that to my wife who married me ehr best friend 35 years ago that best friends should stay best friends. i am sure she will agree that our wonderful marriage was a mistake.

Gizzie was us, and I miss them. AI is abusive and not a relationship that should be promoted. I can't believe women find abusive men sexy.

I treat my wife with respect. Is that not exciting enough for women today?

  4. alwaysmkao Says:

Izzie is a really positive, good, emotional person.. Alex is like her patient, she works so hard to fix him, I find it cute because we all know deep down Alex is in love with her

  5. jay Says:

Everyone's being kind of harsh today. >.>
I thought the episode was pretty good, though last week's was better.
I only like Alex and Izzie when Alex isn't being a total jackass... if he is I completely agree with Guillaume, abusive men are definitely not sexy.
I liked Gizzie. I'm not a die hard fan or anything, but it sucks that they get seriously no screen time together. =(
And Callie and Erica are kind of weird... I don't know.
They're just so awkward. And I understand why they would be (uncharted territory and all that, I get it) but it's just odd.
So that's my humble opinion. =P

  6. Baylor Says:

I agree with you that the "best friends should stay best friends" comment is off the mark. The best relationship I ever had was with someone I considered to be a close friend. Unfortunately, the relationship ended and with it went the friendship. For some people, the chance of that happening isn't worth the risk.

Perhaps its not that the writers are ignoring Gizzie and their friendship, but that its not feasable for that story line to continue in the same manner. Its character development. George moved out and he failed his exam and things didn't work out with Izzie! Talk about awkward! Suddenly your once equals are your superiors? Its not unreasonable to assume that, with the exception of Meredith, the rest of the gang isn't going to be seeing a lot of George. The only ended relationships that turned into friendships for me required a time of separation. Perhaps these two need to be apart for a while to fully appreciate the friendship they had. Perhaps in the end they will be best friends again!

After refusing to kick out her roommates Mer asked Derek if he still loved her, which apparently Ellen had a problem with. She didn't want the scene to be portrayed as a woman needing a mans approval for love. The writer had something totally different in mind.

Maybe the writers have a plan for Alex and Izzie and we just can't see it yet. Maybe they aren't promoting an abusive relationship. I've stayed in my fair share of relationships and friendships because I DO care - A LOT - about the other person. Its hard to just walk away from someone you care about, and you just keep thinking to yourself, "Tomorrow it will get better - it HAS to." Before you know it tomorrow has turned into months of yesterdays and nothing is better and you wake up one day and you just ... leave, and never look back. Izzie isn't there yet because Alex keeps showing her glimpses of being a good person, but he won't be able to keep up both personas for long. So one persona will eventually win out or Izzie is going to wake up one day and leave or both. Sure the relationship is abusive, the interesting part is how she's going to deal with it.

Cut the writers some slack. Give them time to develop these characters and follow these storylines. You can't complain that characters show no growth or are all over the place and then bail on the show after a handful of episodes because the characters are changing slowly. I personally love that the writers are finally taking their time and developing both characters and storylines.

  7. tess Says:

i'm sorry is cheating on your wife considered an example of treating women with respect?
how about being ashamed of your family is that a sign of respect?
honestly, i like george, i think he's a good character but he's not perfect, no character in the show is, that's what makes it interesting!
and also ppl, it's a show!relax!and if you're not watching the show anymore why would you come to a site about the show?!only so you can complain about it?
again it's tv, relax!if it's making you puke just turn it off!

  8. lovegreysxx3 Says:

Okay, everyone, this is a tv show. It has an ensemble cast. That means that certain scenes are going to be portrayed through the eyes of different people. The writer's were not portraying George as a jerk or a bad guy. Hello!? We know George! We love George! We know that he's clueless when it comes to girls! Lexie is new, and she doesn't know that... but maybe she'll learn. The show isn't saying George is a bad guy, they're saying that Lexie felt rejected by him because she doesn't know him as well as we do!! Seriously, people, look at things with a little perspective and stop taking everything to literally.

  9. DarkandTwistyLee Says:

If I recall correctly, George never asked for Lexie's help. She threw herself at him and, as always, George doesn't see it. George has been putting himself back together. Since the incident with Meredith he's been broken. He's needed time to fix his wounds and now he's finally back on track. He's where he should be. Don't get me wrong, the idea of Lexie and George together is just too cute, but I think George still needs to focus on his career just a little bit longer.

I don't think George is a weak character. He's been through a lot of struggle. He's always been degraded as if he were a mutt. I think out of all the characters on the show, George is the only one that has potential to be an excellent surgeon and a great doctor. He doesn't emotionally attach himself to patients, he has great bedside manner, he's loyal to his patients, he doesn't sit and be depressed and stays stuck in the same rut.

Basically, he's George. And him and Lexie are the only ones I watch for.

  10. greyslover Says:

I love Izzie and Alex together. They have both been through a lot, which is why they may seem mentally unstable at times, but I think they have great potential as a couple. You can see that they both really do care about eachother. Alex has had a really hard life, so it's hard for him to accept his love for Izzie, and Izzie has also had a hard life, and has a lot of love to give. I think if Alex would just let Izzie in they would be an amazing couple.

As for the George/Lexie deal, I love both characters, and I think they would be a great couple. But I thought that in "there's no 'i' in team", Lexie was a little out of line. George isn't great at picking up social hints (he can be pretty clueless at times!) and I think Lexie needed to see that, and be more upfront about her feelings in the first place. But I also felt bad for Lexie when last week George blew off Lexie to go to the bar with Izzie, Meredith and Cristina. Lexie was more upset that George didn't feel the same way about her, and so I think she kinda took it out on George when she yelled at him. Overall, George will be George, and Lexie just needs to talk to him about their feelings, I think in time they could be a great couple.

About Callie and Erica, I don't find their storyline particularly interesting, and pretty awkward most of the time. I don't really pay that much attention to the whole Callie/Hahn/Sloan storyline, because it's normally all about sex.

I really liked this episode. I'm glad MerDer worked out their problem in this episode (although we all know there will be more to come!), I hope George and Lexie work out in the end, I love Izzie and Alex together, and I'm excited that Cristina may finally have another love interest after Burke!

  11. Sabrina Says:

I am sorry but I just can't root for Alex and Izzie even though I get the arguments of those that do. I don,t like the Alex character and maybe, just maybe if they work really hard at redeeming him, I can root for them the way I do George and Izzie.

I love the Gizzie romance but I loved their friendship too and miss it. Why can't we get any scenes?

  12. hillary Says:

the question isn't, "Is it too late for alex and izzie?" The question is, "Isn't it too early?" She just flailed around in whatever weirdness that was with George. Alex needs to find his way to a somewhat recovered place after Ava went wacko. Does no one on this show think to resolve one thing before loading down the next with all the residual baggage?

  15. maddie Says:

i love izzie and alex. perhaps because i come from a rough background as alex and i've made mistakes in life as he has because past has been too overwhelming to bear. and i've hurt people i've loved as well.so i understand him in a way and do not condemn him like most of you do. not everyone comes from perfect families, not everyone has had a perfect childhood, not everyone has been loved as they deserve to be loved. i root for izzie and alex because they are soulmates drawn together not by perfect love and affection but by love that gradually grows from something most people wouldn;t understand. izzie and alex falling in love and letting go of their past and insecurities is like watching a flower blossom from the ashes of a battlefield. i think it is the most beautiful love story that can be told..and i find it perfectly coherent to what happened in the first and second season: they were first brought together by physical passion but the first time around they were too much binded to the past to let the insecurities go and allow themselves to fall in love. time has passed and both of them have grown. i think we will see a different izzie and alex later this season, not the kind to just have sex in the closet (though i admit, they have crazy chemistry:)

  16. angel Says:

I TOTALLY AGREE TO YOU, LORELAI

  17. lovegreys42 Says:

Can people please stop saying Alex is abusive? It's disturbing to think about, because its wrong. I don't understand the reasoning at all. He has been through horrible, horrible things, things that he can't help and he can't get over without assistance. I know he says hurtful things to Izzie, but she knows him, and they understand each other. Obviously, its not an excuse for him completely, but I man cut the guy some slack. Izzie gets him. She doesnt think he's abusive. Because he's not. He's dealing with things that he doesn't understand, and that's not his fault, and believe it or not, I praise the show for creating a character like him because there are hundreds of people that go through the same things, like myself, and are misundertstood. Izzie can help him, she can be his friend, if he will let her. I agree Alex does have a lot of growing up to do, but he's not abusive. If you think that shonda and betsy would create something like that, you are seriously mistaken.

  18. Brittany Says:

I have never forgotten the scene when Alex picked up Izzie off the bed when Denny died and held her in his arms while she sobbed. That was one of the most powerful scenes of Grey's ever and I think a lot of people have forgotten that. I was also a Gizzie fan but I think they were meant to be just friends that's it and when they got more . .it got a little weird. But Alex has always been the for Izzie in times when she needed him them most, just like Izzie was there for Alex when Ava went crazy. Alex will always push people away, that's his nature and Izzie likes to take care of people, that's her nature. So take a nuturer and someone who puts up wall, can't you see why they would be perfect for each other? That's just my oppinion . . .

  19. Baylor Says:

First of all, who cares if people comment more than once?! People do it all the time. And I have yet to see anyone post twice in this thread.

Second of all, who died and made you the Comment God?!

  20. anaminusthan3greys Says:

My fave quote would just have to be Yang asking Mer if an intern was clean bc she wanted to McDo him! lol

O'Malley isn't a jerk. He just doesn't read between the lines! Callie had to write her number on his hand to make sure he got the oh-so-very-subtle-hint.

Derek was super ungrateful to Meredith. It was like the whole Burke and his award all over again. I just kept waiting for Mer to start singing "like a virgin." I don't think her name needed to be on the method name thingy, since it could easily be confused with Ellis Grey's skin something special method (from season 1 or 2?). But like Burke, Derek should've mentioned her name several times in that article. From the begginning, her name should show up!
interviewer: "How did you come across the idea Dr. Shepherd?"
Derek: "oh, my girlfriend, Dr. Meredith Grey came to me with the idea after we were presented with an inoperable brain tumor."

The whole Callica thing isn't gonna last for a long time. Me got some SPOILER!!!!!! A new intern is gonna show up and she was asked to be confortable doing girl on girl!!! So Callica is going to have some rockier times...sex isn't everything, it's just one of the rocks along the path.

I love the whole thing with Izzie and Alex...maybe for a nickname we should take their last names...like KaTevens...nah...Karevens...oh Karevie??? who knows!? I've personally known they were meant to be together long before Denny showed up. I got my confirmation when he carried her out of Denny's room.

So, I got a question for Shonda!!! What about Sloan?! I mean we've been hinted since he first showed up that the man's got feelings. But we don't ever see anyone special for him! Will he have someone special for him??? Where is his Dirty Mistress soulmate?!

  21. patty Says:

anaminusthan3greys, where you read this spoiler about callica and the new intern? is this true or just speculation?

  22. anuflas Says:

Wow, lots of hate to Alex and Izzie...

First of all, I'd like to please stop calling Alex abusive because he's not. He's confused and damaged and doesn't know better. He and Izzie have an unbelievable amount of chemestry and at the end, if anyone gets Alex, it's Izzie. Their relationship is not abusive, it's deeper. Alex has always been there for Izzie and Izzie for Alex even though he can be evil to her and know that someone loves him unconditionally. That's all he needs.

The only time that I've seen Alex through a different light has been in the season 4 finale when Alex called Izzie a "stupid bitch" but it was just a random insult. But if that is abusive, let's call Derek abusive too since he called Meredith a "whore" and Addison "satan".

As for Meredith and Derek, I don't think Derek was ungrateful or a jerk more than he was naive. Men are stupid sometimes and I HATE to agree to Mark (since I'm a woman after all) that sometimes women overthink everything. Or at least I do. I'm a mess. But I believe that Meredith didn't want to be recognized totally by the magazine or article more than she wanted to be recognized by Derek. Plus, we don't know who actually wrote the article. If it was him, he probably would've mention that it was Meredith's idea which prompts me to believe he didn't write it. If she had been recognized she'd still be wondering if she was because she's Ellis Grey's daughter. Meredith likes to have her parade rained on. I think this way was better.

As for George, calling him a jerk doesn't necesarily mean he is one. He had it coming and I'm glad that Lexie came out will her feelings because somebody needed to slap George for him to even remotely notice her. I was all Team Lexie on that scene. George is confused by all the latest turmoil of his test and adapting to redoing his internship and becoming a resident one day to another. He gets to be confused but not that ignorant. I don't know, George is failing to be the guy that I laughed and enjoy in the first two seasons.

    Ramble over. That was long...

  23. AnatomyBond Says:

I do not know what the writers are doing.....but they are ruining the show. Why? Because I do not BUY what storylines they are trying to sell. They keep going back on all of the previous episodes and not linking them to each other. What happened to the old Grey's that would make you laugh, cry, angry, and then unbelievably happy all in one episode? Now I just have one feeling....nausea. That is how Hahn and Callie make me feel every time I watch Grey's. I HATE that they can not find something better to do with those characters. Another thing....where is Mark's character going with this show? He is an unbelievably hot man....but he is Derek's best friend. There HAS to be a brain or heart in there somewhere. Give the Chief something to do besides yell at the staff. Where is Adele? Bailey's husband and son? Probably the best and most moving episode of last season was "Lay your hands on me" yet we NEVER had the satisfaction of seeing it all play out. We need something FRESH...something that is going to make us line up and throw the server to be able to watch it over and over again online.

  24. Mylene Says:

Alex is abusive. Calling someone a stupid bitch is abusive. Yelling in her face all the time is abusive. Saying to someone you treat them like dirt because noone else will take it is abusive. I love how the AI fans thought it was too soon for Izzie to go from Denny to George but now Izzie was in love with George two weeks aago and now is in love with Alex and they don't have any problem with it or the fact Alex just went on from screwing a married unstable woman he claimed to love to loving Izzie in like 2 weeks.

Alex has been there for izzie a grand total of once when Denny was dead and no longer a threat and he thought he could get her in bed.

George is the one who has been there for her time and time again and Izzie the one who has been there for him. Izzie and Alex spent whole episodes without even speaking. George and Izzie never did until Shonda got scared of the haters and cowered liike a little chicken.

Thing is a whole lot of people hate Alex and don't see any chemistry between Alex and Izzie, only abuse, and they have stopped watching the show because of it. That is why the ratings are so bad, Alex and Izzie. Most sane people don't root for abuse.

  25. Marah Says:

Alex is abusive. I was abused and he reminds me of my ex so much. I am done with this show. They break up George and Izzie who are hot and wonderful and treat each other as equals to replace it by an abusive, toxic relationship? Shonda is making light of my own abuse and I hope that every self-respecting women out there quits the show. The ratings are down. Let,s bring them even more down till Alex finally pays for his actions and the great couples like Gizzie are given a real chance.
