That was back in season 2, big hint anyone? Izzie said she ONLY encouraged him to go after Mer because she thought Mer would reject him and he would be free of his Mer obsession. She didn't want him with Mer. pay attention. She made sndie remarks about George and Olivia. Rewatch episode 9, season 1, when Alex gives George a condom to have sex with Olivia, and watch Izzie's face. She is green with jealousy at that moment. Season 2 has Izzie telling George she just needs sex and when he mouths he will do her, she looks down at his lips and gives him the biggest flirting smile. Katie has said she and TR have acted like Gizzie were secretely wanting each other since seaswon 1 and they intentionnally put out those hints.
Both katie and Shonda have said Izzie hadn't gotten to the in love part when Alex slept with Olivia and this killed any feelings she might have for him.
This is not Chuck and Blair here. Izzie rejected Alex three times, and quite clearly told him she didn't want him. It was all on his side. Two weeks ebfore the Ava going crazy thing she was in love with George. Even after they broke up, she told george's mom she had fallen IN LOVE with George. She didn't love Alex so the sudden she is in love with him thing makes no sense.
Even now Katie plays their scenes like a caring friend, not a woman in love. Look at how she looked at Denny and George, and how she looks at Alex, she doesn't give him the look of love like she did with them.
We are trying to rob Alex. Is it me or do some AI fans talk in weird riddles and make no sense?

On a poll, AI won most dysfunctional couple yesterday. This isn't love. t is lust with some pity mixed up and Izzie's sick need to fix every broken guy she meets. Alex is co-dependent on her and Izzie is so desperate to feel worthy and feels so lonely since she lost George, she grabs on to the first guy who makes her feel needed.
Both she and Alex need shrink with their emotional problems.

I already quit watching. My best friend did too and she couldn't care less about AI or Gizzie for that matter. The show has just lost its magic.
To tell the truth Gizzie was the one thing magic left and now it is gone. I would have stayed if she gave us friendship scenes, but we get nothing and George gets less airtime than the new interns.
Grey is lame lame lame. Nothing to love there.
I do hope Izzie gets a STD. That's be funny and show just how romantic AI are.

I hated when Gizzie were together, but I never thought about quitting the show! I gave them a try... (but being honest, Izzie was the most annoying character when she was with George... I mean, the love could be there, this storyline could be great, but someone just messed it up... making she acts like a jerk and pushing him all the time... it really distroyed all the possible magic.) Now, all we have to do is wait for her moment with Alex. (and hope that noone will screw it up this time!)

I can never understand why people get so hurt, offended or defensive over fictional characters. I love the show, but I'm not sure I would lose sleep over who hooks up with who, and I certainly wouldn't go shouting other people down. It is all entertainment...
Guys and girls, please don't go giving yourselves ulcers or whatever, stressing over fictional relationships... In the end, the characters won't be suffering from high blood pressure and stuff, it will be you.

1. The show is what it is!!
2. Shonda is not the only writer. Here's the rundow so far this season...
Jenna Bans- "There Is No 'I' In Team"
Debora Cahn- "Brave New World"
Krista Vernoff- "Here Comes The Flood"
so lets quit blaming Shonda for your bad opinions. Opinions are like noses....everyone has one and they are all different.

5. As far as ratings go...Grey's is still the highest rated show in it's time slot. And it also has the most DVR viewers...which adds into the rating as you can read about right here on this site!!!The low rating is for the show not for tv....which means all rating are down since greys has the highest rating in its time slot!
As far as my opinion on what is happening on the show.....I don't like Alex (never have) but Izzie is the only one that is going to love him so thats Ok if that is what is happening. Izzie is his "meant to be" even though Izzie's "meant to be" died. I have said this before) People sometimes like or want to be with people who everyone thinks is bad for them....it's not everyone elses choice it's theirs (I know they are fictional characters but they simulate real situations). In my opinion George has kinda abandoned his friendship with Iz for his friendship with Lexie...then he did it again to Lexie for the gang now that he is back in their circle...George seems to be a follower. I love George don't get me wrong. I don't think he should have a romantic relationship with either of them!
