i looooooooove grey's anatomy, but the premiere was good and bad. I loved the dream sequences, hunt/christina scenes, dr. bailey scenes, and the trauma with the three ladies. But i did not like the little amount of mer/der time, alex's behavior, meredith being winny, and the ending speech from the chief. i'm really excited for the flood episode because i just saw photos from it, and there was photots of meredith and derek talking/ kissing on a couch:) It is on youtube if you want to see it!!!

I absolutely loved the season premier. I understand if merder fans were a little disappointed, but seriously, the show has got other characters. I especially liked owen and cristina and the last scene with callie and erica. and izzie's dream was just heartbreaking. for me, there is no question about continuing watching the show, I already cant wait for the next episode!

Question:Who whines more than Meredith?
Answer: YOU DO!
OMG-stop whinning people! I thought the show was good; it showed a bit of each charachter's fears/dreams/hopes, yet wasn't absorbed with one entity. And Owen Hunt-beautiful, gritty, rough--a perfect match for Christina, and the perfect person to make her challenge herself again. She's at her best when she's competing against herself.

I quite enjoyed it because you know, it's Grey's lol, but I do sort of agree with what most people are saying on here. Meredith was incredibly whiny, and it feels like MerDer have taken some sort of giant step back since the finale of Season 4...
Loved Owen Hunt and Cristina, I thought Sandra Oh was the star of that episode
Alex..Oh my god..I just want to slap him so hard! He is sooo self-destructive! Him and Izzie are VERY sweet together when he's being nice, but is he ever going to really change, and if not, can Izzie handle yet more heartbreak? Hmmm...
I'm thinking I would actually quite like to see Izzie and Mark together, they've never really had anything to do with each other...but again, I don't think I could stand it if it went wrong for poor Izzie YET again...Her 'happily ever after' dream made me cry, it's so heart-breaking, I'm just hoping SO much she gets lucky in love this season...

i used to love grey's anatomy...but the last season was a major disappointment...n then when this season started i hoped that it would be different...but this season also (so far) is headed towards disaster...
at the end of last season we saw Meredith and Derek coming together...and Meredith overcoming her fear of commitment...but this season began again with her turning into a neurotic...doubting everything...whats is this???
Izzie and Alex (if that's a couple this season) would be the on again off again couple for this season...saw once again a big disappointment...Izzie and Alex are so over...look at the way he treats her...he uses her for his own selfish purposes and then just throws her away...why can't Izzie get someone who would appreciate her...
then there's Mark...according to Shonda we would get clues from the premier about the relationships of this season...so we saw Mark being nice to Lexie...so thats the relationship for Mark...Lexie??????...
if so what about George??? ...again hes not going to have any love interest????...and what about Lexie's feelings for George???...
the relationship (if theres one) between Cristina and Owen would be great...they make a nice pair...both physically and as doctors....
Callie and Hahn would be something we dont see normally on television...so it would be interesting to see where it leads...
as a Mcsteamy fan i would really love to see Mark's love story...especially if its between him and Izzie...i think they make a cute couple....

I loved last night´s episode even Meredith´s whining .I Hated Meredith´s nightmare.I cried throgh the whole thing.I loved christina´s day dream although i do think she could be a bit more suportive. I know your bf is supposed to tell you the truth when no one else will but she needs to be there for meredith. Because Meredith was there for her when she needed someone. from moving with burke to him jilting her at the alter.
This is what i gotfrom the their dream/nightmare. Christina´s Dream is to grow old with Meredith. But Meredith´s nightmare is that she won´t get to grow old with Derek. 1 more thing not enough Mer/Der together. hopefully we´ll get more of them together in episode 3.

Seriously... If you're a devoted fan of Grey's anatomy you should love this episode..... Come on.. There were so many new things to work with.. I loved it! Absolutely loved it.. There were moments where I laughed so hard especially when Cristina's having her 'dream' about how Meredith and her will grow old together.. And when Izzie was dreaming about how she got to show Denny her dress I teared up... I LOVE this show! and I think this 1. episode was fantastic and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Shonda, this premier CODED!!! Where did the EXTRAORDINARY OF IT ALL go??? I get that Mer has no north star to guide her in the relationship area but she made damn good progress in the finale through her own efforts. I don't get why in this premier she couldn't sit and revel in the fact that she did something extraordinary on her own, without Cristina. Shouldn't she be giving herself more credit and being all "I FINALLY DID IT Cristina!"? Seriously!
And SGH is on the 12th spot? Seriously?! Where did the EXTRAODRINARY OF IT ALL go?

That's two hours of my life I'm never getting back! I told my husband half way through that we were witnessing the proverbial "jumping of the shark" as it happened.
From the beginning sequence, Meredith whines to the point of being horribly irritating; like fingers on a chalk board. If these were real people, I would avoid her at all costs, and would advise McDreamy to run away as fast as he could - and to never look back!" Although, it would appear that character has been lobotomized since last season.
Waiting outside the emergency room door - hoping for a tragedy? How disgusting was that?
The attitudes and demeanors of Hahn, Kristina and McSteamy are equally annoying and unlikable.
And, the manner in which the budding relationship between Hahn and Callie was introduced was ridiculously comical and nauseating. It was a cheesy way to introduce the latest token TV gay couple; and a total insult to homosexuals as a whole. Didn't someone once get fired from this show for the same offense?
And the worst thing, the personalities of the two characters that were once the most likeable, sweet and quirky of them all, Izzy and George, have been watered down to such an extent that they seem to have OD'ed on Prozac; zombies with barely a remnant of what they once were.
I couldn't help but think that, with the juveniles on staff at this hospital, they were lucky to get a #12 rating. On a scale of 1 - 100, the premier barely gets a 5 in my estimation. I doubt that I will tune in again to see if it gets better. The story lines introduced for the coming season failed to pique my interest or leave much hope for improvement.

Oh God, why can't George win the girl and keep her once in a while? he and Izzie were amazing, and I want them togetehr so badly I could cry. I also like him with Lexie though and now she will dump him for Mark, another jerk. Why can't George ever keep the girl? I want either Gizzie or Gexie, but not Mark and Lexie and definitely not Alex and Izzie. Those two are so bad they make me puke in my mouth. If they don't give George some love and happiness, I am done. Enough with the great guy losing to the jerk guys!

I don't think I ever hated a couple that much. Her being a good person doesn't mean she has to act like a battered wife with Alex? The guy abuses women.
