Minor Grey's Anatomy Spoilers, Gossip

Some Grey's Anatomy spoiler action from E! Online ...

Q: Any Grey's Anatomy love for the older kids at the hospital?

A: Gladly. Word has it that Chief Webber (James Pickens, Jr.) is going to be whipping the staff into shape when Seattle Grace starts to slip in the national rankings as one of the best teaching hospitals in the country. Seattle Grace not running smoothly? With all of those on-call room "naps," who would have guessed.

Q: Are Yang and Torres still going to be living together next season on Grey's Anatomy?

A: Grey's Anatomy spies have said that, pre-writer's strike, there was going to be a little Three's Company action going on with Hahn, Torres and Yang. Now that the romantic Callie-Erica relationship has been established, it's unknown if the lovebirds be moving in together, or where Cristina fits into that.

Josh Kelley Stays Out of Katherine Heigl's Way

Singer-songwriter Josh Kelley has learned to steer clear of controversies stirred up by his wife, Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl.

"I'm just the husband, I'm not the manager," he said.

Asked whether the 29-year-old Grey's Anatomy star will stay on the show, he told Us: "I don't get in her business with that kind of stuff."

But the 28-year-old singer said "people [made] a big deal out of nothing" when Heigl pulled herself out of consideration for an Emmy.

On a happier note, Josh Kelley revealed that married life with Heigl, who he wed last December, is great and couldn't be better.

"We're rocking and rolling," he said.

He also said now that they're married, "the jealousy is gone" when she does love scenes with co-stars, such as Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Grey's Anatomy: The Curse of Popularity?

Many fans and pundits alike have opined that in the past two years, Grey's Anatomy may have slipped a bit and lost its sense of balance.

With Season Five on the horizon, can it be recovered?

Grey's Anatomy became an instant and enormous hit because of its combination of several different elements into a wildly entertaining mixture: it was a medical show, a romantic soap opera and a comedy all at the same time.

What seemed to happen in Seasons Three and Four is that the show jettisoned everything except the romantic angst: comedic bits became harder to find, and the medical stories were limited to the occasional wacky patient.

You Guys New Here?

Complaints about the writing on Grey's Anatomy became big news last month when one of its own stars, the outspoken Katherine Heigl, criticized the material her character, Izzie Stevens had been given over the past year.

She was ripped by critics and fans, but in some ways, Heigl was late to the party; fans of the show had been complaining long before she did.

Earlier this year, a petition was circulated to protest its transformation "from being something amazing to something we don't even recognize."

Grey's Anatomy is not alone in losing the fire. With so many shows starting out huge and then imploding, some critics are starting to worry that the very act of getting popular is the creative kiss of death in TV.

James Pickens, Jr., to Speak at Commencement

More than 1,200 students will receive degrees from Bowling Green (Ohio) State University during summer commencement Saturday, with the keynote address delivered by none other than BGSU alumnus James Pickens, Jr.

Pickens, of course, stars on Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Richard Webber, a.k.a. The Chief. For four seasons he's been one of the "glue" characters in a terrific ensemble cast, bringing class and talent to our favorite show.

He earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from Bowling Green in 1976, and is set to receive the University's Distinguished Alumnus Award at commencement.

Grey's Anatomy Spoilers: The McHouse!

Spies close to Grey's Anatomy have spilled the beans to E! Online regarding a cool and noteworthy location change for the upcoming Season Five - one that may reveal some exciting details about what's ahead for Meredith and Derek.

The set for Seattle Grace Hospital has moved to another soundstage (one occupied by The Shield until recently) at Prospect Studios in L.A.

As for the original soundstage, they have built... this:

McHouse!

In the interest of full disclosure here, we can't say for sure whether this photo is exactly it or just a representation of what it will look like.

But we do know this for a fact - according to sources connected with the series, the original Grey's Anatomy soundstage has indeed been converted into a lovely home that will be occupied by none other than the great Dr. Derek Shepherd.

You may remember that as of last May's season finale, Derek had a beautiful plot of land that he offered up to Meredith for their dream house, and Meredith finally came around and offered up a beautiful floor plan. Made of candles!

So this would be a pretty strong indication that Meredith and Derek will be shacking up in their dream house this season, wouldn't it? Hopefully there is plenty of domestic bliss to follow. We just hope they skip over the trips to Home Depot.

Casual Ellen Pompeo Spotted in L.A.

Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo spent the day with family at Disney’s California Adventure in Anaheim, Calif., on Wednesday.

The actress we know and love wore a “Hope” Barack Obama t-shirt, carrying a bottle of Vitamin water and made phone calls as she walked.

Ellen Pompeo was also spotted on Tuesday petting an English bulldog after leaving Book Soup, a bookshop on L.A.’s Sunset Strip.

The good news: They're together!

The bad news: Do either of them have any idea what "together" means? Not really. When the action picks back up, they'll be trying to figure out how being a mutually committed couple "works," driving everybody around them crazy in the process.
