Our Grey's Anatomy Wish List For Season Five
It's hard to believe Grey's Anatomy is entering its fifth season next month. In honor of this much-anticipated, make-or-break fifth campaign, we've put together five things we're hoping for when the Grey's Anatomy cast returns September 25 ...
- MerDer love. Not MerDer angst. Further elaboration unnecessary.
- Happiness for The Chief. We know Chief Webber (James Pickens, Jr.) is more of a supporting character, but his on-again, off-again tribulations with Adele make no sense. Let's have them stay together, be happy and just ... carry on.
- A Cristina Yang love interest. Regardless of how you feel about Isaiah Washington, the show has not been the same without Preston Burke. While no one could replace that man, a new love interest for Cristina would be a welcome this year, as Yang finally tries to put the past behind her.
- A spectacular Izzie flameout. We heart Izzie, and certainly don't wish our girl any harm. But we're getting a wee bit tired of see this terrific character reduced to whining and treading water emotionally. Note to producers - give her something interesting to do, or get rid of her in style!
- More Alex back story! The finale of Season Four gave us more of a glimpse into the mind of Alex Karev than we've had in... well, four whole seasons. We hope the scene pictured below is the gateway to more interesting revelations about a young doctor whose personal life - and background - is still the least known.

1. MCSTEAMY - don't you think that McSteamy should get something more? And what about the girl who said he looks just like her father? He needs a romantic relationship too. But with who???
2. IZZIE - and I think that we definitely need more Izzie.

i want the lovin to be there the whole time, the cute squabbles to be there, and the mcdreamy moments a plenty! But if anyone tries to break them up, or they both find a way to screw things up that make them unable to stay together... grrrr! I will scream!

1. I need more Alex backstory. I need more revelations. I think it's about time someone from Alex's past showed up in Seattle whether it's a family member (his father would be awesome) or someone who knew him back home in Iowa (friend, neighbor) because that would open the door into getting to know more about his past. I just need more Alex. Period.
2. Cristina needs to find someone new and move on from Burke. She also needs to stop sucking up to Hahn and show some dignity. Cristina (along with the other residents) needs to be a better teacher to her interns too.
3. If we are to get the annoying, whiny, self-righteous Izzie from seasons past then I'm fine with her having very little screentime. Izzie can spend her days hidden in the clinic or baking as long as she isn't sucking up screentime for other more interesting characters.
4. Derek to drop the 'I'm so great and you just drag me down Meredith' attitude. He's not all that. He's far from 'dreamy' and he's at fault as much as Meredith for the failures in their relationship. The writers need to stop pinning it all on Meredith because that just isn't fair.
5. Mark needs to start acting like a professional and a teacher. SGH is a TEACHING hospital and he's hardly done any teaching. Having people buy him his lunch and coffee, picking up his dry cleaning or on the phone all day with the DMV is not what he's being paid to do or what is expected of him as head of Plastics.

How about more Joe & his partner. They had a couple of great story lines in the first couple of seasons then nothing. I think they added a nice element to the show.

3. Denny/Izzie - ANYTHING. I miss them. Give Izzie more of a storyline.
4. George and Izzie friendship back, stronger.

I agree-anymore that can crumble the merder team-it'll drive me crazy-why can this season be about building the relationship-meeting the extended family, dealing with building the relationship while trying to maintain a promising career. I think its just torture to again keep them apart.
How about McSteamy-is it possible to bring this character to life-its such a waste watching him just in the corner.

now tht u mention it, izzie has been a little whiny in season 4.
My wishlist:
1. More humour
2. Less cheesy soap-opera lines
3. More Callie and Hahn
4. Someone/thing new and unexpected for McSteamy
5. More blood and intestines hanging out and tumours, & faschiotamies 7 pencils in the eye & really unique and interesting operations, a new medical mystery would do it for me.
6. George a resident yay!!!! George and Lexie hmm nt sure i get a friends vibe probably with some benefits but nt a relationship.
7. More McSteamy, McDreamy moments and a McCutie for Yang
8. Someone annoying like Sydney or w/e to make the show a bit more humourous, and to irritate the residents in a good way.
9. The Cheif and Miranda getting along better with their spouses.
10. My final wish is That this show lasts for many more seasons to come and tht the writers dont dig themselves into a ditch to soon and tht they create enough drama to last at least 3 more seasons.

1. More about Alex...about his past. He has a lot of skeletons in his closet and he needs to get in touch with his emotional side and stop being a whore!!!!
2. Izzie and George just need to be friends because the whole relationship thing was just stupid. And no love interest for George!!! He needs to date a non-surgeon, nurse, intern, whatever person. Things just get too messy.
3. Callie and Hahn!!!! And a love interest for Yang...cause the whole getting over Burke thing is just old.
4. Ok the stupidity between Meredith and Derek needs to stop!!! Meredith needs to stop being a child, and Derek should be a little more patient. They are obviously in love with eachother, Derek has left two women for Meredith, she needs to open her eyes already!!!! So happiness for them is much needed!!!!
5. And McSteamy, towards the end he became more open and in touch with his emotional side. Which is pretty funny. So they need to elaborate on that.

1. Alex and Izzie together for good.
a) Alex should get over his past with somebody who can make him happy.
b) Izzie should get a interesting storyline, and helping Alex is my dream.
c) They are MEANT for each other, please.
2. Cristina not to get any love interest. I don't want anybody but Burke. People like Cristina don't get fooled twice. So she's better focus on her career and be the world's best heart surgeon, better than Burke himself.
3. Richard to retire, and show once in a while.So, a new chief of surgery, I would prefer it would be Mark. He needs to get a REAL storyline, and chief of surgery would make him grow.
4. Derek and Meredith to be happy finally, with no complications.
5. George to be alone. Lexie to interest for Mark. Callie to get things well with Erica.
And that's it.

Did I say George and Izzie together and with a baby? Bceause they belong together. They have true love and they are the only good thing on the show, well the best anyhow.
