Would You Want Addison Back Full-Time?
Several TV sites and message boards have broached the (hypothetical) topic of Shonda Rhimes and the producers of Grey's Anatomy bringing back Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh) as permanent fixture at Seattle Grace Hospital again.
One theory behind such a move is that the spin-off, Private Practice, isn't called "Addison's Practice," and that she may actually be better suited to Seattle Grace. Another theory is that Private Practice is destined to go in the tank.
If Private Practice were to go under, we can't see why they wouldn't want Addison back on Grey's Anatomy, but seeing as Private Practice was doing fairly well ratings-wise (what you may think of it personally is another matter), it's unlikely.
Many fans believe Addison's IQ dropped in half the minute she signed on at the Oceanside Wellness Center and loved her Grey's Anatomy cameo this spring. But Private Practice still had some success in its first year, at least on paper.
One unanswered question is whether it can recover from lost momentum after a terribly long hiatus. Not only did Private Practice not return from the writers' strike in spring, not a single repeat aired during or since. What does the future hold?

I liked Addison...i really miss her and Alex working on the OB GYN service. I don't like the show private practice very much...i watched a few episodes and didnt really feel the need to watch more.

I think Addison is a very important piece in the show...I want to see her back with Karev....or Sloan also she is so pretty and WITH SO MUCH TALENT she needs to go back again!! That will be awesome.

Addison did indeed lost a bit of IQ since she moved to LA... Oh c'mon... She is like... Human? Surgeons are not humans... Or they are not supposed to be. So, bring her back, I am totally waiting for it... Bring me Addison/Mark , gawd, that is interesting ^^

I would love for Addison to come back! I watched Private Practice for a while, it's just not as good as GA. -- Bring back Addison!

Omg yes I want Addie back! If you take a good look around youtube, almost everyone always leaves comments complaining about how they miss addie, so I think if she comes back we will get more viewers

I want Addison back!!! She was/is my favorite character besides Alex! She is so funny and smart, she was totally dumbed down for PP. Bring her back!!!

i loved addison ever since she and derek got divorced. i missed the addison/alex drama this pass season.if they bring addison back she and alex might hook up after what happened in season 3. we NEED addison back

The irony is that I watched Private Practice in the beginning because I loved the character of Addison -- but then found that I loved everyone else on that show -- except for Addison. So I say bring her back to Seattle -- and let Private Practice flourish on its own. It doesn't need her.

Mmmm..I can see Addison come back I'm not sure how it'll work but i'll still be watching.I just hope it doesn't screw up the storyline,and I hope Addison and Meredith become friends since Merder is back together (not like before).So sure,she can come back.

Private Practice was the second highest rated new show and the highest rated new show on ABC. Its ratings were better than Ugly Bettys and on par with Brother and Sisters. KW is the lead and the face of PrP she is not going anywhere and the only reason it did so well.
Kate said herself that Addison's story was done on GA, so I doubt she would come back if something happened to PrP (which I doubt it will, because they are changing some things as well with the show). Besides Kate has a movie coming out next year, and will be getting other offers.

I would love it if Addy came back!
And I think Private Practice did do really well, but I think it will just go down from here. So if that did happen I think it would be great if they brought Addison back to Grey's for good.
She was a well liked character, and if Izzie does end up being killed off, as fans I think it would be nicer to have a character we love and know back instead of someone new to replace Izzie.
Even tho I would rather not see Izzie killed off...
Overall I think Addison should come back :)

Furthermore, it must be a real slow GA news week if this site has to bring up a old article from a couple months ago (actually it wasnt even a article it was only one thing on from TVGuide.com, that was a question and answer) that this site copied.
Private Practice cast and Shonda will be at the TCA's panel on Thursday so we will get news and pics galore.

oh my god i would love it if addison came back!!i think she was one of the best loved characters on the show,and i think her and mark should end up together!because they were just so good together and mcsteamy doesnt have anyone on the show right now,i love kate walsh's character so please please bring addie back!!because the show isnt the same without her!

Look Addison is my favorite character behind Meredith on Grey's Anatomy and it was beyond me why they moved her, but "if" PrP fails, I don't think she should come back. This is more for Kate Walsh's sake than my love for the Addison character. It's a bad step back career wise to have a show fail, and then return (perception wise) plus the strain it caused the show cast (as told by Dempsey once in an interview) would be repeated once the red carpet and cast screen time is reduced to bring her back. In my opinion it shows a stunning lack of faith in Walsh and this project that fans would want her to return so soon into this show's run. And now that Addison has become a bit "off" as to what she once was in Seattle, to have her come back and all of a sudden magically return to b^ll bustin' Addison, seems a little disingenuous at best. Shonda Rhimes had an ego and thought she could parlay Addison to her own show. Many questioned it, but she could not be told. Now the damage has been done and for Walsh's sake more than anything (as I'm a great fan) I hope she doesn't come running back if the show doesn't make it, and believe me, without Walsh PrP stands zero chance at all.

Well,honestly I didn't like Adisson during the 2nd season because of the whole mer/der confusing thing!It was Derek's wife,they couldn't be together...I think u understand what I'm saying...
But I really loved her during the next seasons and especially,the episode 4x13 when she came back was one of my favourites in season 4...
Besides,imagine the whole drama thing it's gonna be now...If the rumors about Callie being pregnant with a McSteamy baby (which I hope NOT) , it would be very interesting to see Addison's reaction on that,wouldn't it?...
Finally,I would like to see her now that Derek & Meredith are back together...And what she would do seeing Rose causing trouble to our favourite pair...
