Grey's Anatomy Producers to Kill Izzie?
Note the question mark. This is not confirmed.
But there's no mistaking the latest buzz hissing from the set of the ABC hit is that Grey's Anatmy creator Shonda Rhimes may be entertaining the idea of killing off Katherine Heigl's Dr. Isobel "Izzie" Stevens. Why?
Lest we forget, Heigl took herself out of the running for this year's Emmy Awards, declining to even submit her name for consideration because she felt the writers failed to give her enough good material in Season 4.
"It's not good," a source on the Grey's Anatomy set told E! Online. "Shonda is pissed. They're thinking of killing her off. They want Izzie dead."
While a dead Izzie may still not happen, it would be a bit ironic, as Grey's Anatomy insiders have long speculated that Heigl wants off the show.
Going public with her Emmy complaint only increased speculation that she wants out of her contract to focus on her film career, which is red hot.
A rep for Shonda Rhimes said, "I haven't heard anything about that." Reps for both Katherine Heigl and ABC declined to comment on the subject.
What do you think? Is it time for Izzie to check out? And does Katherine Heigl have what it takes to leave Grey's Anatomy behind?

She did have a point when she said that the writers didn't give her good material, but that was mostly her own fault, because of her busy filmschedule.

PLEASE!!! DON'T KILL IZZIE!!! A lot of people watch the show just because of her. Her fame brings her fans, then those fans like to watch whatever she is in. Many people would be very upset if you killed Katherine Heigl off of the show, therefore would stop watching the show. That would have a big impact on how the show does. I think she just needs to focus on Grey's Anatomy more. Give her another chance... PLEASE!!!

I think that Katherine Heigl is a great actress. And i think that the writers did give her a worthless part. Heigl is capable of much more. I mean,she saved a deer. I would be mad too. Izzie is important to the show and I don't know why they gave her such a crappy part. I don't think they should kill her off the show just because she took her name out of the Emmy nominees.She did the right thing. She deserves a better part.Although she is a loved character,she had to stand up for herself.

you know what i could care less if shes on the show or not. im not into the drama she brings. shes an amazing actress ill give her that but honestly her big head is getting in the way..
in a way i hope they dont kill her off. its just gonna upset meredith and then theres gonna be problems with merder. unless they make it into a positive thing with the merder relationship that even though meredith will try and shut derek out. he will still always be there..idk if that makes sense to anyone else?

In a way, I almost wish that they wouldn't kill her - not because I'm in love with Izzy as a character, but because by killing the character off, they'd be giving Katherine Heigl exactly what she wants - an out from her contract. If I were Shonda, I'd keep her perfectly healthy just to piss Heigl off.

i like izzie's character, but im not such a big fan of heigl....she's a good actor, but all this fame has gone to her head a bit. i would be ok if they killed izzie, im just not convinced they could do it in a convincing way....

I don't think the show should kill off Izzie. I mean, what she did about the Emmy's, well, I don't think it was really right at all to diss the show. But if given a decent story line, she really adds a lot to the show. As long as she doesn't add too much drama, I'm perfectly fine with her staying on the show. I love Izzie's sweetness and I'd really love to see Izzie and Alex back together. So yeah, don't kill her off, just give her a role she can excel in. She's an important part of the Grey's Anatomy that we have all come to know and love. That's all I have to say.

I think Izzie is a well written character. And the show was rebuilding from season three only to have the writers strike happen just as they were gaining some steam.I think Izzie adds a nice balance to the show. She says the writers didn't give her enough? so sorry they were too busy fighting for their rights to write emmy award winning lines so Heigl can add to her comfortable lifestyle.
I don't think they should kill off Izzie, but I do hope the producers confront her on her ungrateful attitude. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. And even if you want off the show, don't be a child about it. If she is making these public comments so she can get out of her contract, she's going to burn a lot of bridges.

wtf are we still talking abt this?!...she is sooo boring...if she want´s to go just go already! I´ll be happyer then ever...
I know she has a contract and its not so easy but I would just kill her to get rid of her...but on the other hand I wouldn bcz then she would get what she wanted...
