Nothing is official yet, but our research has determined that four Grey's Anatomy stars are being considered for Emmy Awards this year, with the finalists (five are nominated per category) to be officially announced soon.
Among 10 semifinalists in their respective categories are Patrick Dempsey (Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama), T.R. Knight (Outstanding Supporting Actor), and a pair of mainstays in Chandra Wilson and Sandra Oh (Outstanding Supporting Actress).
T.R. Knight is one of four Grey's Anatomy stars in the running.
All are certainly worthy, and we would hope included on the lists of five finalists in these difficult races. Of the Grey's Anatomy stars not being considered, we would say Ellen Pompeo's omission is the most surprising. She has been so good.
Either Ellen or Katherine Heigl. Just kidding.
On a side note, rumor has it (this has not been confirmed), that Grey's Anatomy is on the bubble as far as earning a place among the five nominees for Outstanding Drama series. We will let you know when we hear for sure.

I really don't understand why Ellen Pompeo isn't being nominated. She's does a really great job this season her charcter has had alot of major moments that would be emmy worthy. What a shame. However I'm glad to see that Patrick Dempsey has made it to the semi final list, along with the others of course but I really would love to see Patrick get an Emmy.

Not nominated yet.
I doubt Patrick will make the final cut.
but happy he was in the final 10.
Everyone is surprised why Ellen was snubbed and robbed again. She was phenomenal in season 4. nothing can justify why they eliminated her before even seeing her submission. It's a shame and a pathetic way to judge for the Emmys.
Ellen will get her award one day.
this made me very sad.
I hope the Globes will be fair to Ellen though.
She deserves the recognition for her great work.

i think if anyone was overlooked it was justin chambers. he was phenomenal in the last few episodes of the season. and if anyone wasn't given great material it was sandra oh. she should won last year and was underutilized this year, so i doubt she'll get it. chandra wilson might be right up there though. she had the talent and the storyline.

I like Justin but he does nothing for me acting-wise. I adore TR and Patrick, so I am so glad for them. Go TR! I am so pissed about Ellen though

Wow, congratulations for the casts. I'm so glad to see Chandra Wilson and Sandra Oh get nominated. Both of their acting is marvelous. The scene where Cristina was in the "dark place" and Bailey's emotional struggle with her husband, especially in the episode "Lay your hands on me".
As for Patrick and TR, they're pretty good too, Ellen should have been considered too I think, but then again, all of them (the casts) are great. It's too unlikely if all the casts get a nomination, isn't it?

I think that Ellen Pompeo should have been nominated she does a really great job. I don't really agree with T.R. getting nominated i don't think he was that great
