KH is well within her right to choose to opt out of the EMMYs, it was the smartest thing for her to have done. With the lame material she was given she certainly has no chance for even a nomination so what do you think THAT will do to her blossoming Movie career.
For all those condemning her for "biting the hand that fed her" All I can say is GIVE ME A BREAK! do you think if the tables were turned the Studio will think twice about dumping her if that will translate into higher ratings (which can only happen in a parallel world); she just weighed her options and chose the the best strategic line of action i.e saving herself the humiliation of not getting even a nomination after her last years performance - which could wreck her promising movie career. In such a scenario bad press alone could kill her career. Thankfully with her smart choice that isn't happening.
As for killing Izzie, I have no worries, Shonda knows exactly where the show is headed without Izzie.
Gizzie is the best love story on TV AND in the movies, it's so because KH loves TRK in real live but tragically TRK is Gay so she gets to vent her feelings for him on GA thats why every Gizzie love scene is hot because its real.
Any thats what i think.

in some ways yes and in some ways no- Izzie plays a great charter but she needs to stop smoking for health reasons and for the poor Greys Anatomy viewers that are going to miss her on the show if she goes. she brings great presonalty to the show. Please don't kill her off!!!
