T.R. Knight Speaks on Relationship
Having been dating Mark Cornelsen since February, Grey's Anatomy star T.R. Knight has formed some perspective on their relationship.
Specifically, in regard to their age difference.
"It's bound to raise some eyebrows," the 35-year-old, who plays Dr. George O'Malley, said in an interview with Extra. "But we love each other."
Mark Cornelsen, 19, is a student and "an amazing guy. I love being around him," says Knight. "I love what we have."
With a laugh, the actor says, "I was surprised he was interested!"
Despite the legalization of gay marriage in California - which prompted talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and others to announce that they intend to wed their partners - T.R. Knight has no similar plan for the immediate future.
"We've only known each other for six months, so I think it's a little soon to consider marriage." Still, the Grey's Anatomy star says, "I don't think you date anyone that you don't see a future with."
Asked if he's interested in having children: "The idea of it, yes," he responds. "Adopting."

I'm so sick of this show glamourizing homosexualality! This petaphile is the reason my man IW isn't on the show anymore. ABC should not be praising him for knocking the show of it's axis.

We're all entitled to an opinion, that is our right. But...
Honestly, ward, do us all a favor and consult a greater grammatical authority in a half-hearted attempt to make your marshmallow opinion at least *sound* intelligible. Something has to be said for social ignorance â€" especially the thought that someone being different (or embodying an ideal that contradicts another's faith) might somehow directly harm you. Something must also be said for that kind of insecurity, no? As sincerely as I can say this, with all other preoccupations aside: please grow up.
His life was forcibly made public, which opens it up to endless criticism. Be that as it may, I don't recall he or anyone else here judging you... at least extend them the same courtesy.
Good day and I hope everyone enjoys season 5.

I agree with another angle... I think that people are people, whether they are Gay, Black, Straight, White or Striped. I don't think that Grey's is "glamourizing homosexuality", I think they are merely showing the world that there are other people out there that aren't always the minority. I mean, it's not like they hired only gay, or only white, or only middle aged men, they hired a VARIETY. That is one of the reasons I love Grey's.

What exactly is a petaphile? Someone who lusts after animal activists?

I also agree with 'another angel.' I do not believe Grey's is now "glamourizing homosexuality." I believe the writers are (in a round-about-way) trying to make homosexuals feel more comfortable watching the show. because once you really think about it, there aren't many hit TV shows that have any homosexual activity in them...
