  1. Scarecrow Says:

While I agree that the writing on GA may not have been stellar for some of the S4 episodes, I totally disagree with how Katherine chose to voice her opinion of it. It showed a total lack of respect for her employers, and they have every right to do something about that, either it be something like firing her, or giving her even worse material next season. You never bite the hand that feeds you, unless you are willing to deal with the consequences. There was a classy way for Katie to address her disappointment with the material she was given, and this was not it. Some of her co-stars (i.e. Eric, Sandra, Chyler, and James) were given even less to do than she was, and I don't see them complaining to the press about it. They have my respect, while Katie is quickly losing it.

  2. Aminata Says:

I am sick of Katherine too, I tolerated her before because I love Gizzie so much and they are my favorite couple, but since it seems we will never have them again, the ungrateful witch can leave. Without Gizzie, Izzie is a total bore. Not sure how my sweet TR can be friends with her.

  3. McSeriouslyAddicted Says:

this is harsh but if she is to leave, I vote she dies in some kind of tragedy and there's this big scene with her and Denny... ya know

  4. maddie Says:

if u seriously dont think what heigl said was rude then u must not have heard what she said right. read what Lauren Marie..Pt. 2said above. it makes perfect sense!

  5. tets Says:

Being honest does not work all the time, it should be tempered with tact. KH definitely lacks that. She was up for an acting award and a truly great actress could pull it off even if the writing is bad. If she wanted to comment on the writing she can perfectly do so but it should not be used as an excuse for substandard acting. The rest of the cast had good performances despite the bad script especially in the pre-strike episodes. If KH is honest with herself, she should admit that she was given more acting material than SO and CW. Shame on her that these two showed good acting with what little material they were given. I do hope they get nominated as well as EP in the lead category.

  6. rosie Says:

i think that although season 4 had its struggles there was still a whole lot of izzie stuff going on- especially at the start and finish, however i think it should be irrelevant how much screen time she got, the fact that she's openly criticising the show that MADE her is a sign that she does not have any respect for either the show or the writers- fine feel bitter, you're entitled but don't openly tell people! it's disrespectful and unproffessional- also does that mean she thinks dame judi dench's oscar was undeserved for the 8 minutes of screen time she had in shakespeare in love? she could have made her performance great whatever the script was like- that's like blaming the weather for why you're late- LAME EXCUSE.

  7. rosie Says:

well said tets by the way. SO and CW totally own the show.

  8. Heather Says:

If all actors/actresses left every season they didn't get a good role there would be a lot of new people playing their characters or shows wouldn't last very long. I didn't think Sloan had such a great story line this season, but I don't see him complaining.
Good luck Katherine, just don't come running back when you don't get a box office hit. I know I won't be watching any of her movies...she should really stop being so ungrateful as there are other actors/actresses who would die to get a part on anything.

  9. era Says:

She should really learn how to shut her mouth if she doesn't want people to call her an ungrateful, egotistic b****. It' not like she's the only main character in GA for God's sake. She should know that the show musn't revolve around her. I believe she's got more role in the 4th season than Sandra Oh.

  10. Chuck Says:

I'm agree with Heigl, her storyline actually did suck, actually the whole season sucked, but it was really bad for Izzie, in first place her relationship with George which was excelent written in the last part of season three, all that chemistry stuff is just insane and boring...next Lexie: what the hell were they thinking? that's the worst decisition ever...ask yourselves? what were the best episodes this season? answer: those where Lexie is invisible, maybe is the actress...but maybe is the script...I think is both.

Another thing: Erica Hahn is almost as out of place as Lexie I can't believe these writers had made this kind of mistakes.

George Storyline: Her Intern status should be solved in the first two episodes, but these writers I think were more aware to go to strike that writting good material, and that's not only for Grey's Anatomy but for Heroes, Chuck and even the same Private Practice. Thank God LOST didn't went into this lack of creativity.

  11. sprite Says:

I agree with Greys Dude. There is no point getting worked up about this - Heigl certainly isn't, she is on vacation in Mexico for heaven's sake! It's clear as daylight what she is doing - clever strategies designed to get out of her Greys contract. Though her actions may seem unpopular now, guess who will laugh all the way to the box office in the future? When she is finally free to make the back to back hit movies that she wants to she will not even think twice about the Greys writers' or fans she pissed off. Nor will anyone remember, if anything she will be lauded for her forward thinking and "ability to say it how it is". I'll give her one thing - she is darn smart!

  12. sprite Says:

The GA team need to outthink KH on this one and this mean digging their heels in and refusing to fire her...then it will be interesting to see what strategy she comes up with next. KH is hungry - mega stardom beckons and she definitely wants to grab it while she can and sees no reason why she cannot. In a way I do not blame her - she is currently one of Hollywoods "it" girls who can do no wrong and has the looks, youth and a modicum of talent to get ahead. I think she is at a place where she feels nothing and noone should stand in her way. She intends to strike while the iron is hot and I almost feel sorry for whoever is in the way. It seems to me she will use anyone and do whatever is neccessary to achieve her dreams. Just ask IW and now GA writers'/Shonda Rhimes. Should be fun...

  13. claudine Says:

OMG Heigl attitude really sucks. Keep on complaining about something but in the end she still needs a job.
I think this B__cth really need a mouthwash to rinse out her outrageous bad mouth. She is just a lucky person always given a second chance but still she is not grateful about it. She should be like Teri Hatcher very down to earth because she knows what it is like to be unemployed so after giving her another chance she is embracing whole heartedly without any complaints.

  14. Angelina Says:

Katherine's scenes were stupid last year, I agree... but the Emmy race is about you as an actor/actress and how well they perform... not about how good or bad the writing was. Regardless if she liked her scenes or not, she should have delivered them with enough gusto and an amazing performance to be deserving of an Emmy.

  15. Chris Says:

If I was in charge of the writers, I'd bury her. I'd make her fulfill her next two years and give her maybe three lines per episode, tops. I'd all but make her a bit player, make Izzie an afterthought of a character, little more than a prop in the corner. Then I'd kill her character off in the last episode of her contract so there'd be no return. GA giveth, GA taketh away. But hey, I'm spiteful that way.

  16. jenphillian Says:

I agree with what's being said here. Katherine Heigl is more full of herself each and everytime she opens her mouth, and its becoming hard to watch "Izzie" on screen, and not relate that to disdain for K.H. If Izzie were to leave the show, I would not be bothered at all. Her dramatic story line is over, and lets give Jeffrey Dean Morgan and the writers the credit for making her character shine, and giving her her fame. . . two seasons ago. I don't miss Burke, and I won't miss Izzie either.

    P.S. I <3 the Grey's Writing staff!

  17. jenphillian Says:

P.S. again. None of her big box office hits have been all that successful without her supporting cast members in each role. If KH were to leave Grey's Anatomy, even by choice, I give her two movies before she's just a distant memory. There are few small screen actors who left for the big screen mid-show, and made it a success.

  18. GAgetIWback. Says:

Kaci: It is not about good storylines. if so then KH has had wayyyy more than her fair share. It is the last thing she can complain about. In fact they give her so much screen time it gets boring. Reason it gets boring is that she is simply not excellent or gifted. The people who have not got as much story lines would be Chandra Wilson and Sandra Oh but they still always shine and remain Emmy -worthy.
Look at IW' s not-so-flattering storyline Season 3, he had very little screen time in so many episodes. Yet, look at how marvellous his acting remained till the day he knew he may no longer be on the show. He never blamed duress or stress as being any reason for not turning in stellar performances. He did not put in his name for Emmy or SAG awards despite being amply worthy of it. He was one who really appreciated being on GA and never wanted to leave.
While KH will keep finding ways of embarrassing the GA people till they let her go. She thinks she is immune, while people like IW are not. Ironical. His acting never suffered despite facing every kind of horror. That deserves the Emmy.
Not someone who finds excuses. GA should really learn to differentiate who deserved to stay on the show and who deserves to be let gone.
Oh, and Emmy award may be a personal award and her own business, which is exactly why she should have stuck to comments only about herself and not made it about writers and material she got.

I do not hates gays, but I am fed up with yall defending gay relationships. You actually used the bible this time, but out of context. We as middle class bible belt christian americans dont want this thrown in ours/the faces of our kids anymore.America has spoken many times against marriage between a man/woman only,if it were not so then there would have been Adam/Adam or Eve/Eve.I love this show, but find myself not wanting to watch it or any other show because of gay content. It isnt the norm/stop forcing us to accept it.I plan on boycotting these shows from now on/refuse to watch/will pass it along to anyone else.Tv programs will become obsolete soon enough because there are no quality family shows, people are turning their tvs off just as the preachers suggest to protect our families from this un-Godly display of relationships.

  23. mancrusher903 Says:

Even though Katherine Heigl's behavious was indeed quite ungrateful and bitchy, let us not gorget she is still an amazing actress and i don't believe she is easily replacable at all i think that she is one of the greatest of the show, if not her i know i don't want to lose Izzie Stevens. She is my ultimate favorite character, and i will go into depression and probably cease to watch the show if they keep sending people away. Grey's Anatomy is a great show, the writers are geniuses, it is true that Katherine needs to cool down and be brought back to earth, because she's getting a big head, but let's not be too harsh on her, because remember: she's still Izzie Stevens.
