Hey, to all you prejudice people out their, STOP with the over dramatics. We need to reinforce Lesbian and Gay relation ships. You people just proved our point as to why we need to show the story line. It's about time to see something spicey with Grey's Anatomy. I'm a christian and from what I know people are suppose to be married before having sex. You were fine watching the show then, but you get freaked out when the topic of falling inlove with someone of the same sex occurs. RELAX it's a wonderful idea and i can't wait to see how their relationship develops. It's important to learn about other people and what they face. Maybe once you see the life they live you won't be so quick to judge and discriminate. Life is about change, everyone can't be the same or else life would get boring. Besides Callie and Erica are SEXY TOGETHER!!!!!!That's right I said to you juggemental paranoid people!!! Stop hating because your female lover hasen't knocked on your door. She will one day. And as for the writers WELL DONE, don't let the few weirdos scare you!!!

What I don't really get, is that Joe (the bartender) and his boyfriend Walter have been in the show for I don't know how long, and they were trying to adopt a baby even before the whole lesbian story line came along!!! So then to all the people saying they will no longer watch the show if the lesbian couple stays: why the hell have you been watching it so far if there was already a gay couple in the show??? And may I just remind you, that in the bible it is stated to love each other. And also, to not throw the first stone only if you are free of sins. Loving is not a sin, no, not even if it's loving someone of the same gender. JEnny, I totally agree with all you said. And for the record, people don't 'turn' gay, some people just find out a little later than others. Maybe because some people try to put the thoughts in their minds that only a man can love a woman, and vise versa.
Elisa - thank you, you took the words right out of my mouth! To all those narrow minded 'Christians' - if you don't like it, don't watch it, end of. But if you're just up in arms now because you think this is the first gay storyline in the shows history then go out and rent the boxsets!
I love Callie & Erica and I think Sara and Brooke bring a whole new dimension to the usual gay storylines we get on tv. As they said in the piece, they normally bring in a lesbian/gay character for an exsisting cast memeber to fall for, but here we've seen the friendship evolve before the relationship and I think that just gives us a new perspective on things.
Just remember that those that shout loudest in their protest of 'homosexuality as a sin' are normally the ones who are seriously insecure about their own sexuality. Those who throw quotes from the bible at 'sinnes' are those who have been sitting reading it for too long; the ones who forgot to go out and live the life god gave to them and see that there are so many different people that make this an interesting world to live in. And to the rest of you who are just using it to get a rise out of people, go and get a life!

@ Loaf and all the other narrow-minded people!!
wtf are you talking about? do you know anything about homosexuality and the precess of realizing that you're gay?? i don't think so, so don't talk about things you don't know anything about.
i came out as a lesbian at 16. ans yes, i really did never sleep with a guy and i'm not going to either.
BUT! there are definitely women out there you have been with men all their lifes or some were even married and have kids. -->and then suddenly fall for a women and realize that that's what they've been missing all their lives.
sorry dudes, but when i read comments like "as a christian i cannot support homosexuality and i'll stop to watch the show" I'm so fucking happy to live in a country were religion didin't completely screw up (moste of) the populations heads and makes them discriminate against others.
when it comes to being (gay-)tolerant, europe is way ahead of the usa.
i personally, really enjoy the growing relation ship between callie and erica and hope that we get to see a lot more of them and how they deal with the fact of falling for each other)

I don't want to go rocking any boats or offending any one of any faith. But has anyone noticed that nowhere on these boards do you hear "I am Jewish, and I find this disgusting!" or "I am Hindu and I cant stand gays!" It is always "As a Christian I am appalled by the gay story line." What happened to Judge lest not thee be judged.
I don't see any reason why if people are living their lives, loving one another, then why does it matter what gender they are?
I am pleased with how this story line seems to be written. It isn't all about gratuitous sex scenes or other ratings grabbers. It is covering a genuine subject, of what happens when later in life you begin to admit you may not be what you thought you were. My girlfriend is 37, she was 35 when she came out, after having a son and being married. There are thousands of people, men and women, millions maybe.. who are in the situation of social pressures and stigma's leading them one way when they are happier another. This storyline, if continued to be treated with respect will hopefully give some comfort to the people out there suffering as they are torn between feelings they might not understand.
Religion should not be used as a weapon to hurt the feelings of others. That is not tolerance or acceptance. It isn't open minded or kind. It is cruel and hurtful. If you don't want to watch the show then don't. You have watched it for years, with a gay actor playing George, promiscuity, sex before marriage and all sorts of other themes. This is another theme that is relevant to the times we live in... Once upon a time it would have been unacceptable to have mixed race relationships, but times moved on and billions of people are happy with partners of different ethnicities. Move with the times and accept that love, no matter what the gender is love. The world needs more of it. Less of the narrow minded hatred and spite.

Erica is gone, and Callie is trying to deal with that. You know I have been watching this show, since the 3rd season. And I have seen all kinds of bed hopping. Everyone on that show has been with almost every other person on there. Which to me is kinda sick. But it was OK cause they wasn't gay. The fact that they showed Sloan laying between Callies legs didn't bother you. But let Callie and Erica talk about there relationship and share a kiss and you all freak out and your freak out ended up getting Brooke Smith fired. Way to go!!! And I don't see anyone freaking over Callie being attracted to the dumb ass Sadie. I guess that is cause she is supposed to be cute. There was nothing more sexy than Callie and Erica together. Two strong adult women trying to figure out how they felt about each other. And FYI I read on a post at youtube that Sada Ramirez is really a lesbian. I don't know that it is the truth. But I hope it is. And I hope she finds or has found the love of her life and is happy. And to the writters: If Sada Ramirez is really leaving. I hope ya write it into the show that she is leaving to move back to NY to be with Erica. Instead of her walking to the car and POOF she is gone.

Hi, I think this is extremely disturbing, we all want our kids to grow up and become normal and TV is no longer the answer. They're trying to implement this type of sinful relationships in many series and movies. I don't know what's the POINT of doing so, is it to corrupt the society or to get some men sexually aroused. Nevertheless this is unacceptable, and this is the reason why I stopped watching american Tv. Homosexuality is a sin and that is something that all religions of this world agree on. You're corrupting our society and our kids. You make us Love a show or a particular character of that show, but suddenly blows it off with such morbidness. To me it proves one point, women are whores who are ready to do ANYTHING for money or a Tv role...cause I haven't seen many men movie stars kiss, yet many women.

NO what is disturbing is that your so closed minded that you can't see any farther than your nose. There are children out there that are gay/lesbian and can't talk to any one cause they are in so much fear that they end up taking there life. And it is because of people like you that they die. And another thing, watching a program isn't going to make your child or any ones child gay/lesbian if they are not gay/lesbian already. I watched straight people roll all over tv having sex for years and I'm still a lesbian. Bottom line is....YOU should be monitoring what kind of programs your child is watching any way. If your so high and mighty Grey's Anatomy is not what you should be watching. Oh and one more thing back a few seasons ago there was a couple of soldiers that was gay on the show and they shared a kiss or 2. But we never heard anything about that. Cause it was guys and I guess the women thought that was HOT. The majority of negative comments on this site have come from women. There are many things of tv that I don't like. But instead of going to the sites and bitching about what I don't like about the show I don't watch it. On ER the head nurse on that show was a lesbian and they just ended that show after it running for 15 yrs. My guess is that they didn't have as many close minded people watching that show as watches Grey's.
