this episode was not my favorite. i thought it was a bit dull, well until the callie-erica kiss at the end. i've been waiting for somebody to be gay on the show... took them long enough.
i still have hope for Ava and Alex. i just want it to work so badly... i loved izzie and alex together just like everyone else, but there are rumors that Heigel wants out of her contract and off the show because she isn't making enough money! what if she doesn't come back next season??
I want to know what the big news for George is going to be. i think him and lexie would be cute together, but of course it would take like an entire season of awkward bff crap for it to work... just like what happened with izzie and george.

I was brought up with a certain church belief about homosexuality, and was always taught to believe how wrong it is, even backing that belief up by verses in Leviticus. I'm old enough that when I was younger I wasn't aware of it as much because it's just something that wasn't publicized. It was always hidden. HOWEVER, the older I get the more I realize that people are going to love who they love; they are going to be who they are going to be. And, no matter what I believe or what I believe the Bible to say, doesn't matter because we are all merely humans who are all different. It is not for me to judge anyone. I also know that if Christ were here today, He would be walking among ALL people; not just those who profess their belief in Him and believe they are righteous. So, with all that being said, even having grown up in the culture that I did, I do not find homosexuals kissing on screen any more offensive than heterosexuals. And, like it was said before, if it offends you, turn it off or switch channels. That's the great thing about living in a free country...you are free to watch something else! MerDer...I was so sick of them before they split up, but I really don't like Derek and Rose at all. She's just a weirdo. Am I the only one who is considering the possiblity that Mer & Der's patient and last opportunity for a successful clinical trial might be Rebecca...it might be one way to explain her recent behavior. ANd if it is a success maybe she will want to go back to her life and leave Izzie and Alex to theirs...just a thought.... it might be nice to see the two of them together and it would make for great story liines.... I am also with everyone else, please do not make Callie gay...that would be a bad story line for George and frankly I don't want to see the gay story line develop..... If you don't like it you can change the channel no one said you had to watch it. I personally enjoyed the kiss and that they are exploring that direction. The only reason I want to see Alex and Izzie kiss is because I'm tired of Alex's character being given the short end of the stick... meaning he's doesn't get much airtime and it's the same thing over and over (being mad at people, Ava & Alex trysts, etc).
With all the attention Heigl is getting these days, maybe their characters uniting will bring more depth to Alex.
I also hope MerDer will kiss but that's obvious...

I don't get why people on here are so ardently disgusted by the possible Callie/Hahn storyline. Television shows are a general--albeit dramatized--representation of what goes on in society and in life, so of course homosexuality would be shown. I'm not saying that everyone should accept homosexuality, because every person is entitled to his/her own beliefs, but people should tolerate that it does exist and that it will probably crop up more on primetime television in the future. If seeing a gay/lesbian storyline on T.V. doesn't float your boat, then just look away or change the channel. It's not quantum physics or anything. Seriously.

I truly believe that Callie is far too self concious to have a lesbian relationship with Hahn. She might be confused.. but it seems as if it's making her feel extremely awkward to talk about it and even more so to see it acted upon.. deep down she's broken too.. and if Callie/Hahn does take place, I feel for Callie it's a phase, experimenting, confusion - but I don't see Hahn taking advantage of that situation because we all know she doesn't make friends easy. Callie and Hahn seem to be close.. maybe they do cross that line.. I can however, see quite a few story lines built from it.. George freaking out because his ex to be becomes intimate with a woman, wondering if he's the reason why, questioning his masculinity, Yang having to deal with Hahn at the apartment.. for reasons beyond friendship, thus creating even more of a rift between them.. oh the juice..

Callie's response, confusion and awkwardness, is quite typical of coming out. It's also even mroe typical for a woman who might be self-identified as straight, but still falling for the connection she has with another woman. I think Cynthia Nixon is a great example of how it can happen.
Love this relationship. It's really refreshing and fun.
