Grey's Anatomy Spoilers, News & Gossip
Season Four ended just one week ago, but speculation has already turned to Season Five (can you believe it) of Grey's Anatomy next fall.
TV Guide's Michael Ausiello has some gossip about the length of next season as well as a big Grey's Anatomy spoiler involving a character who shared in one of last Thursday's major kisses - and may be in for a surprise.

Question: Now that the Grey's finale has aired, can you tell us which kiss was the "major" one that Shonda Rhimes was talking about?
Ausiello: Based on her morning-after post-mortem, I think she was referring to Mer-Der's big smooch. Personally, the Alex-Izzie kiss was the only one that made me "lean into the TV."
Question: I just watched an interview with Patrick Dempsey where he mentions that Season Five of Grey's Anatomy will be 30-34 episodes long. Any scoop on that?
Ausiello: Really? He said that? My sources are telling me it'll be closer to 24 episodes.
Question: Got any Grey's Anatomy scoop?
Ausiello: I hear someone may be preggers â" and that someone shared a red-hot smooch in the finale!

I think that it could be callie that turns put to be pregnant as she has been having a lot of sex in the on call rooms with mark and yes i would love a link to the dempsey interview as well please if someone has it ty

I really hope its not going to be rose as shonda has said that shes not going to do anything to ruin derek and meredith and she did say that they would be together by the end of four so maybe shes telling the truth. i like the idea that it might be izzie as it could happen after her one night with him.

one night with who? alex? they didnt have sex, did they? i should hope not, especially after he broke down like that and she was comforting him, who would want to have sex after such an emotional moment?
i think it could be callie, but i cant be rose cause she didnt share a red-hot smooch in the finale. Although it could be adele, though she already had the pregnant storyline, so that really only leaves callie

it CAN'T be rose! seriously, they just got rid of that plot devcie! A pregnant rose would absolutely ruin what Shonda has given us (MerDer together for good!)! Although I wouldn't mind Meredith being pregnant but out of everyone, I think I would prefer for Bailey or Callie to be pregnant.

yes it could be a good story is its callie that is pregnant it would be an interesting twist to the callie erica and hann story line and i only said it could be izzie if they did have sex as you didnt know if they did or didnt even though alex broke down he still may have had sex with izzie as thats what alex is like

It's NOT Rose. Shonda Rhimes said in her finale podcast that Rose is without a doubt NOT PREGNANT and that Derek will not get in a car crash on his way to break up to Rose. Clear path to Mer/Der being together. So according to the show's creator Shonda Rhimes...IT'S NOT ROSE. Guess again. Probably Callie.

Yeah, It's definitely NOT going to be Rose. I seriously doubt that Izzie and Alex had sex that night, so it most likely won't be her either. (Although, I have to say; a pregnant Izz would be quite interesting to having running around the clinic...). Meredith, Christina, Lexie, Bailey, and Hahn, are out because none of them have been having steady sex. I'm certain it's not Adele, because she and Richard haven't been together in quite some time, and she loves him too much to have someone elses baby.
So, that leaves Callie. Callie, who has been having sex quite often in the on-call room with Mark. Callie. It has got to be Callie.

If you think about it from a writer/producer's perspective, the most logical answer would be Callie. If it's Rose they're just adding to the worn-out saga of Mer and Der. I doubt it's Bailey or Izzie because we've already dealt with their pregnancies and children and, like I said, from a writer/producer's perspective that would just be sort of redundant. Callie's pregnancy would put a twist on her relationships with BOTH Erica and Sloan, characters that have been mostly in the background until now, and it would have potential to tackle a lot of social issues that the show hasn't really dealt with yet. I'm excited.

It will probably end up being Callie. It just seems to make the most logical sense, and to also not beat a dead horse like with Izzie and her daughter.
Anyway, I came up with the theory of Callie before the finale because I thought it would make good drama if she and Hahn did indeed become a couple, but having Mark in the picture if he was the father.
But yeah, when I only saw the sneak peek of Callie acting all flustered before the trauma case came in, I really thouht she probably just found out she was pregnant or something. It just makes no sense for her to be acting that flustered about Hahn and Mark, unless she just finished having sex with Mark.

it could be the cancer patient...you know the two kids who were part of the trial, and the guy died..the girl could be preggers. That would be interesting...

Adele and Richard did the nasty in The Becoming episode remember? And Sloan made a comment in the finale that they have been doing it like rabbits ever since!

I don't see why it would be Adele. She already got pregnant and lost the baby at the end of season 3, remember? Why would they make her pregnant again so soon?
With the majority I think Callie would make for the best season, but if Meredith and Derek are back together it could very well be Mer, but that just doesn't make sense right now to me. We alsoi don't know where Season 5 will pick up, so in all actuality, it could be anyone's baby. lol! I love Grey's!!!

Thats a good point we dont know where season 5 will kick off so your right it could be anyones baby but the spoilers do say that the baby comes from someone who had a special kiss so that only leaves a couple of people it could be can t wait till september for it to start again think they should start it earlier as we lost out on this season only having 17 episodes because of the strike.

i think it's callie .. it would make the erica and callie storyline more interesting .. it can't be adele cuz she's already been pregnant and i don't think it's izzie either she hasn't had sex with anyone lately and she only kissed Alex .. But i think there's a good chance here it would be meredith... but overall i think it's callie

It'll be interesting if Izzie got knocked up by Alex..seeing how ready Alex is in having a baby with that other girl.. Besides, they both had a thing back then... Plus it'll be a great start now that Izzie got the Clinic from Bailey... Preggie Izzie running the Clinic... That'll be nice...don't you think? I don't think Rose is up for the preggie part... She's not really a major cast in the show... Meredith? Hmmm... I thought she hadn't slept with Derek for a long time... And Callie... now with Hann? Really don't think so... Well, anyway all of these are just some of my thoughts.. But I do hope I'm right about Izzie getting pregnant instead of Rose... Can't wait until September!

Some just dont pay enough attention-
Adele could be a possibe candidate because her and Richard had sex a few episodes ago.
BUT I don't think it is her because they already had her pregnancy story.
I am almost positive its Callie because of the many, many hints Shonda gives us.
In the writers blog she writes about how she is interesed where the Callie/Hahn AND Sloan story is going. That must mean a baby is involved, because why else would Sloan be involved.

ALI AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO THINK ROSE IS PREGNAT
she isn't. on the GA podcast shonda said "rose will not become pregnat" so i am good there.
my hope is really meredith!!
