Katherine Heigl Once Had a Thing For T.R. Knight
Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl was shocked to find out her co-star T.R Knight was gay - because she had spent the show's pilot flirting with him.
The Knocked Up actress, who married singer Josh Kelley (below) last December, was a single gal when shooting began on the hit medical drama in 2005.
That said, a handsome co-star caught her eye.
The actress' romantic plans didn't going anyway - her lustful looks were ignored as it turned out T.R. Knight (dating Mark Cornelsen at present) is gay. She says:
"When we were filming the pilot I was single and so was he and I kind of had my eye on him. I was getting nowhere and I was super-confused. I was like, 'Hello? Do I have something hanging out of my nose? Why aren't you paying any attention to me? Needless to say, it quickly became a friendship once he told me."
Funny stuff. In the end, it all worked out, as Katherine Heigl ended up with a great husband in Josh Kelley and a best friend (on and off the show) in T.R. Knight.

Seriously, how stuck up is this woman? The more she talks about HERSELF, the less I like her. She wonders why TR (nor any man) isn't paying total attention to her? Wow...love yourself much honey? It wouldn't matter whether Knight was gay or not, perhaps what Heigl cannot see in all of her self loving is that maybe people don't find her the be all end all of their existence. She needs to take the same advice she gave Isaiah Washington and just shut the h*ll up already. Nobody cares.

TR and Katie are my absolute favorites on the show, so thanks for this, I always love hearing about them. They sure create passion whatever they do, whather it is the actors, their characters or even their pairing, LOL, which is probably why they are always talked about.
I love them and ,love their friendship and too bad TR is gay because I would have gone after him myself.

I kept trying to tell myself that Heigl may be a little different than the average pretty girl actress in Hollywood, but in the end she's the same, it's all about her and her narcissism. How pathetic to think that every guy that sees her wants her. Any real beauty that this woman may have is hidden by her enormous ego. What a sad thing to being highlighting to young women today. That superficiality is the key to life. She just lost a fan.

why do people like claire and charlotte go on this website if all they do is bash the actors and actresses who made this show amazing. its ok to bash the greys anatomy characters or be angry about what happened in an episode but dont be assholes to the actors

I've always liked Katherine and this show. I read this site almost daily and frankly, I'm shocked at Heigl's statements. I really wonder who puts it in her head to say something like this. Does she really think it makes her seem even a little bit humble. I'm a fan, but even I have a tough time understanding her at times. Why she just says the things she does and these comments are the height of arrogance from anyone. She's not so special in this business and with an attitude like that, her 15 will be gone faster than she thinks.

hey "go izzie and george," just so you know, I agree with Charlotte and claire and I just wish this woman would shut up. Nobody cares how good looking she thinks she is. She's full of it and people are allowed their opinions. I suggest you learn to deal with it.

I have one question. Why do you guys have a problem with the fact that she wanted to know why TR wasn't paying attention to her? Correct me if I'm wrong but usually when you like someone and they don't reciprocate, you kinda wanna know what is wrong with you that they don't like you. She's not stuck up, she's just stating what she felt when she realized TR didn't reciprocate the feelings she had for him.
This site is about the actors and the characters they play, not a way for people to bash the actors they don't like specifically.
I understand no one has to like her, and that's fine, but who cares if she wanted to know why TR wasn't feeling something for her? That doesn't make her stuck up, it makes her human.

Thank you Lauren, frankly this is why I stopped coming to this site, the meanness against actors, the who cares when a story is printed, the mods of this site are very very sweet, and it is a shame that some of the posters here are making people leave the site
I think Grey has amazing actors, and I agree with Lauren, when you like someone, it is quite normal to want to know why they do not seem to like you back

I dont think she is arrogant from this comment, I think it would be cute if it wasn't being posted after she was married.
On another note This is just one more thing that makes Gizzie perfect. The acters haveing chemistry makes it so much easier for the charecters they play to have chemistry.

The reason Knight did not notice Heigl is the reason GIZZIE did not work. He's her FRIEND period. That's it FRIENDS. It works for the two actors and it works for George and Izzie and it's totally why GIZZIE doesn't work. No sparks, just buddies. GIZZIE brought out the worst in the George character and that is something Knight has yet to bring George back from. While I find Heigl to be a self centered actress, I don't mind Izzie and I have always loved George, but the pairing as a couple made me cringe. Personally I think one of the main reason's Heigl likes Knight so much is she can shove him around like she did at Good Medicine. He seems easy going and less than willing to make a scene. Too bad his co star cannot show the same maturity and class.

If this thread is like TWOP, then I need to start checking out TWOP. For once, I'm seeing some honesty about this girl. She's surrounded by people who tell her what she says is so important. If that isn't true, then for the life of me I cannot figure out why every interview she does is of her own self importance. And really, I could care less about why TR Knight was not interested in her and quite frankly, not surprised. She opens her mouth and if it's not about her, it's about a total lack of understanding as to why nobody cares about her over inflated self importance. I love this show, but Izzie truly has ruined the George character and I have now read they (meaning the writers) are going to try to "get him back" to what he was. I'm sure Heigl played part in the poorly thought out GIZZIE uniting and then went to Vanity Fair and sold the creators down the river by calling it a "ratings ploy" (just as she did with the creators of her break out movie Knocked Up) Keep burning your bridges Katherine..it won't be long before someone new come along that actually appreciates her job.

Um...can I just mention that George hasn't really been himself since before him and Callie really got involved with each other? Personally, I want to see George single for quite sometime. He needs to just focus on his career and get his life back together.
