MCDUMSI-- I agree that if it's going to be a totally unexpected kiss, that it probably won't be MerDer, b/c we are now all expecting them to get back together. That being said, we are all just basking in the glow of the MerDer reunion promise we have been given-- we obviously can't stop talking about it b/c we're just way too excited!! MerDer together is just the heart and soul of the show. I think all the talk about them kissing is b/c we simply can't wait! And we are all SO relieved that Shonda has finally realized that MerDer TOGETHER is ESSENTIAL to the show!
Chief4ever- I certainly can respect your opinion (and thanks for presenting it in a respectful way-- not all posters have been respectful with their negative comments), however I simply don't understand it. I really think what is old about MerDer is that they are always getting broken up. I think the majority of the fan base is ready to have MerDer finally really be together. As for Derek deserving better-- I think Mer has a heart of gold. I think Derek has a heart of gold, too. I think they've both messed up with each other. I think Der broke Mer's trust a long time ago when he did not tell her he was married. I think that most of Mer's issue with not fully committing to him is that breach of trust. Yes, she has Thatcher issues, but I think they are not the biggest issues keeping them apart-- the breach of trust is.
Anyway, unexpected surprise or no unexpected surprise-- I WANT A MERDER KISS!!!
and I also want a GIZZIE KISS!!!

Oh, and for the record, I like the idea of Christina and Mark. That would be quite a thing to explore!
