I don't really mind if KH leaves or not but if she does I hope they don't kill her off. Too many people have died on Grey's.

He/she said : "I give her at least 2 more seasons on Grey's, and then it's over and out! Same for Patrick."
They all signed a contract and they can't get out of it. But after that, I think those 2 won't hesitate for a second to leave the show.
I would be devastated if that happens, cause they are my 2 favorite characters on the show.
But whatever their choice will be in a few years, I'll still be a huge fan, especially of Patrick's !

I would not at all be sorry to feel Izzy go. I think the writers have run out of things to do with her character, and I've never been a big fan of Izzy anyways. I've always thought, even before we lost Burke and Addison, that Izzy was the one expendable character.

to everyone who said "Katherine heigl is no talent" that's mean and a terrible thing to say. you don't WALK into this business KNOWING everything.
I don't want to see Katherine go, Ever since Denny's death. izzie just hasn't been herself. when Denny died. he took a part of her with him. A part of her that i'm not sure we'll ever get back. besides not to mention the fact that the entire show is a mess. I mean it used to be Izzie, Alex, Mer, Cristina, and George. and now it's Izzie And Alex And Mer And Cristina and George. they're all seperate. I liked things the way they were. and I especially want Izzie back. and for that to happen she needs closure not just to move on. I want to see her stay :) or at LEAST finish off her contract.

Come on, she's a great actress! It would be kinda mean of her too, because she's famous because of grey's. It would be easy to think that she'll get all the big roles in the movies.. However she probaby gained enough money for the rest of her life.
(btw, I've read somewhere that Heigl is the new Julia Roberts..)

Hmmm. Didn't Shelley Long leave Cheers when it was very successful and her film career plummeted partly because of that?
I highly doubt Katherine wants to be known as pulling a Shelley.
If she wants to leave, let her and maybe Katherine's ego will go down a bit.

katherine cannot leave she is the best actress ever! she is sooooo good in Grey's Anatomy. If she leaves the show, then the viewings will go wayyyy down! I will not fully believe this rumor until i hear it from her! She is the best!!! Although i would LOVE to see her in more movies, and she is really good in them, I would also like to see her on TV. if only there were enough hours in the day to do both Grey's and movies! DONT GO KATHERINE! I LOVE YOU!

Even if this rumour turns out to be false, I for one are not surprised. With her rise in the film world, the bountiful offering of feature film roles would make anyone think twice about being stuck with one project for 3/4 of the year. Katherine, more than any of the others (Even McDreamy Dempsey himself), has really taken to the spotlight and become more of a recognisable "face".
If she goes, she goes. If she doesn't, then brill. Either way, the show will have a storyline; it will either have the ratings from the death of Izzy, or will continue as it is now with the Gizzie/ Alex story lines. The character is one, to me personally, that you could still do a lot with, and there is so much more to find out about but, saying that, it can be just as replaceable in the show.

Season 3 was a bit disapointment and loosing Isiah Wasingont character sucked! I love the character of Izzie so I would hate to see her go. But unfortunately killing off her character would be a good story line,,however,,,why is it she has two good movies and now she thinks she is the next Julia Roberts? Maybe so,,but give yourself a little time lady.

I don't want her to leave just for the reason that I don't want GA's ratings to drop (It seems that she has a lot of fans... and there're a lot of ugh, Gizzie fans as well)
I think it's awful to leave the show just because of bigger and better offers. Where would she be right now if it wasn't for GA? Anyway, I'm guessing that her "it girl" status right now would be over before the year ends.
Also, I don't really think she's much of a movie actress. Eh, but that's just my opinion.

If Katherine leaves, it will not be the same. Regardless of what the writes are making her character do she is still part of the original Grey's Anatomy cast. It's going to happen all over again as it did with ER. All of the original cast started falling off. I stopped watching that A LONG TIME AGO! The characters make a show not just the writers. Who's next? Meredith? Give me a break! It's barely season 4 and already they are breaking off. I'll be seriously disappointed if this begins to happen to this show. Katherine has NOT out grown this show. Show a little loyalty for the fans that made you, my goodness!!!!
