Grey’s Anatomy Spoilers: The Fate of Gizzie
The return of Grey’s Anatomy is a little more than a month away and even more Grey’s Anatomy spoilers are starting to surface regarding its new episodes.
Last week, TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello has the latest on what we can expect for Meredith and Derek, as well as some interesting cast notes (and speculation).
This week, the insider has tracked down some scoop regarding another fan favorite, star-crossed Grey’s Anatomy couple - the often maligned Gizzie.

I was expecting it, the haters are just way too fanatic, look at how hard they have been spamming the ABC poll, but a part of me was hoping Shonda was smart enough to know Gizzie has this huge fanbase that may not spam polls and a lot don’t go on the Net, but we are loyal and devoted.
Gizzie is the one good thing on the show, so I will be leaving too. In fact, I already did after episode 4.8.

As a huge Gizzie fan, I am curiously not that upset. It gives me an excuse to stop watching, that is all. Those two were always way too good for that crap show, and I can finally stop watching now.
George and Izzie were the best couple on the show, Shonda is an idiot!
And Assiello is an ass!
There is something i don’t understand : Gizzie fans, how did you do the first two seasons when Izzie and George were just best friends ?? I don’t understand the “they were the only reason I watched the show” part !
Wow I never realized that there were so many Gizzie fans out there. I am not a Gizzie fan myself. (I don’t hate them they just aren’t the couple I ship) but I know what its like being jerked around all the time being a HUGE MerDer fan. Sorry guys about your couple. They really should have given Gizzie a real chance I mean they tried to squash it in S4 by saying they had no chemistry and bad sex but they had great chemistry in S3. Anyways just writing to say sorry your ship is doomed. It completely sucks.
I started watching in season 3 because I saw a Gizzie video and fell in love with them, the erst of the show never caught up with me.
Thanks Jessie for the kind words. It hurts, and it makes it worse that Assiello is gloating and rubbing it in and acting YET again like we don’t exist.
I post on a site where there are over 500 Gizzie fans and we all have written Assiello at one time or another and never has he answered any of our letters, only those posted by the Gizzie haters. And when he talked to Shonda, he would always say how EVERYONE hated Gizzie.
Guesss he got her to believe it.

Gizzie was a horrible idea and I’m glad to hear that it they are ending that terrible relationship. Has anyone forgotten that she was engaged to Denny a few months before and that George was MARRIED?! It was a great example of why best friends should stay best friends and not lovers.
I watched because I always secretely hoped they would go for Gizzie, and they did. Gizzie has always had a lot of fans but right from the start the haters were always intent on destroying them, not caring how many of us had finally gotten our dream come true.
We were never warned of the Touchstone panel, I go on 3 sites where in total there are about 1500 Gizzie fans and none of us were warned of that panel.
400 people ended up participating in the panel, all of them haters because none of the Gizzie fans even knew about it.
Then there is the recent ABC poll that some Gizzie haters have admitted spamming all day.
We were never given a chance, what can we do against such hate?
From what I have observed, Gizzie has as much fans as haters, but the haters always got the whole attention.
We were never listened to, never seen, we were the invisible fans.
The critics hated Gizzie and no matter how many times we wrote them to tell them how much we loved this couple, our letters were never published, we were nev er mentioned.
So many of us just gave up. I am too. The shallow haters who believe George is just not hot enough for Izzie will always win and Gizzie will never get a chance no matter how many of us love them.
Alex, even though he is a complete ass and has n o chemistry with Izzie, will get get because he is HAWT and George, the amazing guy with so much chemistry and love with Izzie, will again wind up the loser.
That is Grey the show where shallow haters reign supreme and where people who threaten the most get what they want.
George and Izzie were the only thing that was beautiful and real on this show, and they, and we, got utterly ridiculed.
The couple who had the best sex of their lives with each other and who shared one hot kiss in the elevator had terrible sex all the time this season and could not even kiss, and to make it worse, we had Meredith telling us they just had no chemistry and we had been imagining things.
I have never felt that insulted, ignored and betrayed as a fan and I will NEVER watch this disgusting show again

i was a fan of gizzie but its not the end of the world.
So what? Even in season 2, when Denny was alive, it was obvious that Izzie had serious feelings for George, she was dead jealous of Callie. I liked her with Den ny but it was a whirlwind romance destined to be short-lived. He was dying and it was tragic and she fell for him, but I always believed George was her soulmate and if Denny had lived, she and George would have ended up together. George and Callie’s relationship never worked, he never loved her the way she loved him, he married her because he was half-crazy with grief. Derek was amrried too when he discovered true love with Mer. Sometimes you don’t realize youtr true love is standing right in front of you and this is what happened with Gizzie. They ahd the most wonderful love, they would look at each other and just glow being near each other, one look made me melt. Shonda wanted to take them amazing places but then she caved in, which makes me beyond mad because Gizzie has a whole lot of fans on the Net and off the Net.
They were the best thing n the show, the most real lovely couple out there.
And I will never forgive Shonda for stabbing all the Gizzie fans in the back. FU Shonda
The haters spammed the polls, threatened and whined and got what they want.
I would be careful guys, next time you love a story that is different and fresh and not something you expect and the haters will use the same cheatung tactics, it worked once, they will again, and you will always get the same couples and the same stories, next time it might be a story you love that gets scrapped
It is not the end of the world, but it is the end of Grey for me. Shonda always ignored the Gizzie fans, so why should we show her any loyalty? If you want to have all MerDer and Lexziepuke all the time, then go ahead, watch for them. If you want to have a show controlled by the likes of the TWOP fans and the immature ABC fans, go ahead. I have much better things to do with my 1 hour every week than watch a show that constantly ignores me and an entire fanbase. If Assiello and those fans are who she wants to please, let ehr please them, but I am done.
i think gizzie was great. but people should stop watching the show because of them. its a wee bit drastic. im sorry for all the people who were hoping for them. but we really need to relax. there are so many other amazing things in greys anatomy. so maybe you guys can move forward and find something else you love about it.

This Gizzie fan has been waiting 4 years for this couple to get together and I will say, we got severely screwed and we have every right in the world to be angry right now.
well what exactly did you guys do. i understand that everyone is really upset right now. and if the same thing that is happening with Gizzie happened with MERDER i would be SOOOO upset. but like we need to learn to move on. you can’t exspect a couple of pepopel on a greys anatomy fan site to change the whole show. i dont think shondra can change her whole script on because of this. even tho GIZZIE was great its not the end of greys
Yes, I used to watch the show without Gizzie, althjough their friendship was always one of the main reasons why. The show lost its magic for me last season and I was about to quit when they pulled me in with their surprisingly wonderful love story. They were why I stayed when I was about to leave. A lot of people fell for them, unfortunately the haters ruined it for all of us who loved them. I will follow my plan of leaving the show that I had started before they had happened. Nothing different will ever happen on this show, always same old same old suff that made me tire of the show in the first place. The core base of the show is just too scared of changes and the show has become rpedictable and boring.
Gizzie was the one breath of fresh air, and now they are gone, and so am I.
Why not? A couple of people ruined Gizzie for all the people who love them. Aussiello by pretending we did not exist, TWOP and ABC people by spamming polls. This girl actually admitted to spending her whole afternoons spamming the poll against Gizzie. If a few people can ruin a couple that so many people loved, why should we shut up and accept it%? It is easy to talk for the MerDer fans, you never had anyone cheat and spam to sabotage your couple, you never had to be told that you are crazy, immoral and stupid for loving a couple like the Gizzie fans were told? The critics mention all the MerDer fans, they never mention us at all. It is not only that we are losing a couple that was swet, hot, wonderful and lovely, it is that the haters could not just ff and let all the people who love Gizzie enjoy them in peace, they did everything to sink them, lie and cheat, and they are being rewarded for their terrible behavior.
The Gizzie fans always took the high road and what do we get as a reward? A knife in the heart and people gloating that they won and Gizzie is over

My comment has nothing to do with gizzie but I saw that you didn’t have a name for Hawn and Mark so I thought you call them Slawn or Hark.
Of course there is nothing the Gizzie fans can do, there never was, that is why we are so angry. If George was 6,1 and had abs of steel, all the haters who go on about morality would probably have loved Gizzie and not cared at all how they started, of George looked like Alex. But George looks like a cute guy, not a hottie, plus TR is gay, they never had a chance with the teenager audience that spends the most time on the Net. Who cares that most people off the Net I know loves them? Who cares that they had so much chemistry and love and they were so perfect with each other, George was just not hot enough for model Izzie for some people and that was the biggest crime Izzie committed, not being shallow and falling in love with George over hot ass Alex? Some people will never accept George as more than the cute dork who is best friends with the hot women but never ever gets them. And TR and George deserve way better than that, and all of us Gizzie fans deserve way better than that.

I would wager a guess that the poll you are referring to on the web did not have much to do with the decision to end George and Izzie’s relationship. This is a television goliath we are talking about. They know those polls get spammed.
They probably paid some big consulting firm to do some research. They held focus groups and asked their demo what the thought about the show. I’d bet 99.9% of those people said “I liked the show better last year/two years ago.” Because of that - and rapidly declining ratings, ABC had to do something other than the Meredith and Derek BS.
That poll you’re all whining about is not what killed your couple. The writers killed your couple. No one spamming or what have you had anything to do with it.

George and Izzie are the only reason I sticked around the last two horrible seasons. They made sense to me, watching them together made me happy, they were so perfect. Shonda promised the Gizzie fans amazing places, she said they were the real thing, and it seems like all along, she never planned on making them stay together. She was making fun of us all along.
No other fanbase has ever been treated this horribly, and with the one good thing on the show being killed, I can finally get an hour of my life back every week.
I have sympathy for all the fanbases, you will always be screwed over by her.

I have never shipped a couple before because they always seemed so fake, but I loved those two, still do, always will, and nothing will convince me they do not belong together. izzie and george will get back together. remember the spoilers before the 4th season started. they said it would be over in the first episode but it went on for 10. so dont expect all the spoilers to be true.
“Warned” about the Touchstone Panel? That panel has been in existence for quite a long time. I’ve been a member since Jan. 2007. ABC didn’t “warn” me of the panel or notify myself or any other fan. If you ever looked at ABC’s website, used the ‘Contact Us’ button, etc. the panel was quite visible. If you did not know of its existence, well, your own fault. That being said, I participated in every Grey’s session. To state that there were no Gizzie fans present is laughable. They were there, unable to stay on topic for the questions being asked, constant “we want Gizzie” regardless of the questions. Regarding the poll - do you truly believe that poll determined a thing? The decision for storylines was likely made before the season even began, when all television shows map out their character storylones for the year. Yes, at time adjustments are made but no network/show does a poll then a week later decide “well ok! that’s how we will go”. A lot of money is spent on market research - the Touchstone panel, any internet poll, blog comments are just a small part of it. Inform yourself before spewing accusations that others “caused” the storyline. The writers write the show. The decision is theirs so grow up and stop blaming other fans.
George and Izzie had one of the best friendships on the show, nothing more. They were just thrown together, no lead up, nothing. The sex they had could have been written off as a mistake but suddenly they were in love. It was so random. I did try to like them, really i did but i admit i did breathe a sigh of relief when i read the news. The MerDer fans are finally getting what they wanted after four seasons. They’ve been on and off since episode one and it’s frankly about time they’re together. george and izzie were friends since day one and it’s only right that that’s the way it should stay. I’m sorry. Ausiello could have been nicer about it though.
You are talking about the second Touchstone panel, whch we were informed about, there were tons of Gizzie fans as you said. I participated in it, the reason why we did not stay in topic is the haters kept saying drop Gizzie drop Gizzie when they were not even mentioned, they started it. I was part of that panel and you remember things quite differently than we do. We are talking about the first panel, the one where 95% of people were against Gizzie. And Gizzie fans do not post on ABC ever, it is the place with the most juvenile shallow, homophobic racist fans on the Net, they are worse than TWOP. It turns out as I am a Merder fan and posted on their thread, all the MerDer fans there knew about that panel, they knew I was a Gizzie fan and yet they never informed me. When the results got oput, they gloated that now M’erDer would be the only coupe that would get a lot of airtime, and it would teach Shonda to put Gizzie on the frontburner. When I asked the person there why she had not informed me and the other Gizzie fans of the panel, she said because we only wanted MerDer fans there. I later learned all the MerDer fans posting there who were not Gizzie fans had been informed of it, but not us. Over on TWOP, I pretended to be a Gizzie hater and said how can I sink Gizzie even more, and I got sent a PM giving me the answers to the questions to qualify for the panels, I got told to tell all my friends to go vote against Gizzie, even if they did not watch the show, we had to put an end to the Gizzie monster.
This panel was only for US citizens, yet I saw a girl from France there who would talk against Gizzie all the time, a girl from Spain and so on. When I asked the girl from France how she got in, still pretending to be a Gizzie hater, she told me oh it is simple I made up a fake US address.
She also laughed about how they had spammed the first panel against Gizzie.
In that second panel where this time Gizzie did quite well as we knew about the panel, I heard this same person say they had to find a way to shut the Gizzie fans permanently. She threatened us there, tried to make us leave the panel, she would leave me threatening PMs (I of course posted under my real name there and she did not know I was the same person from TWOP).
So maybe you are right, maybe this had nothing to do with their decision, but some haters def. think they could influence their decision or they would not have spent so much energy spamming the polls and threatening us so we would leave the panel.
Over on TWOP, the few Gizzie fans who dared to post were so insulted and threatened, they left the board in fear. I have a lot of friends from TWOP who are Gizzie fans but never dared admit it on that board.
So give me a break, the haters threatened us, cheated and did all in teir power to break that couple up.
They would bash Gizzie first and when the Gizzie fans would answer, tell us we were off topic.
And Assiello and Kristen both said the first panel, the one we didn’t know about because newsfl;ash a huge chunk of the fanbase does not go on ABC, inform yourself too, was so anti-Gizzie, Kristen said Shonda wanted Gizzie but that panel had made her change her mind. Aussiello said the panel and polls on ABC, a site Gizzie fans do not frequent, had put a stake in the couple.

Yes the writers write the show but if they mistakenly think a couple is hated by everyone, and do not know how big a fanbase a couple really has, of course that will influence their writing.
Shonda went from squeeing over Gizzie, saying they were true love to saying in season 4, I don’t know where people thought I was writing a love story and I know many hate it, but never worry I will fix it.
She tried very hard to calm the haters in season 4 and suddenly the couple she was squeeing had so much chemistry and was so great cannot have sex, or kiss, and are all wrong, give m a break, any idiot knows what happened

Oh please, Shonda, TR and Katie all said Gizzie was planned from day 1, in fact Shonda had told both actors Gizzie would be together one day during the pilot.
You did not see the signs, sorry but they were pretty obvious. From Izzie’s obsessive jealousy of Callie back in season 2, to the divotrce lawyer thinking they were a married couple, to George dumpingCallie there after Callie told him she loved him when she needed his help with Denny. All the George, Callie and Izzie scenes back in season 2 when Denny was still alive were done like a triangle, with Izzie always coming between George and Callie. Izzie spent a whole conversation with Denny talking about George, in fact George was pretty muchy all she talked about and after Denny’s death, it became even more. They joked about having sex in season 2. They were always together, and Izzie would freak at the thought of George moving out. She had a hissy fit when he got married, begged him to not leave her in the locker room, with the whole it’s me, it’s US. Hello, it was obvious, even my friend who is not a fan thought they were going there all season 3. They talked about each other all the time, thought about each other all the time, and that hug they ahd when Izzie had so much trouble letting go, when Izziestarted to cry just holding him, it was obvious she ahd fallen for him. It was pretty much written in neon lights. You might not have wanted to see it, but all the signs were there for a very long time. Callie saw them, George’s mom saw them, the divorce lawyer saw them.
It was obvious.
They were friends one year before they slept together. It is not like they were platonic friends 10 years then fell in love, the connection was always there and I could see them fall in love with each other.
Over on FF, we did a photo recap of George and Izzie’s relationship since episode 1 and if you watched them, you would see the signs clear as day right from Izie’s jealousy of Olivia in season 1.
George and Izzie were always obvious, two best friends falling in love along the way.
They love each other, they like each other, they are soulmates and have amazing chemistry.

That is your opinion, the Gizzie fans have also waited since season 1 for them to be together, for them to finally realize what they had was so much more than friendship, and they did, and their love story was even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. I am sorry but to me MerDer have sex, that is it, Gizzie has love.
George and Izzie have the truest love on TV, but Shonda is too chicken and stupid to follow through on them.

I have to say that I am very happy that George and Izzie are over. They should never have happened, the whole situation was bizarre. I mean, I think Izzie “falls in love” with anybody and really quickly too. And George, he is just hopeless.

Newsflash, did you just read the messages? Many Gizzie fans have stopped watching the show already, and many of us will follow suit. I have stopped watching weeks ago and have taken much pleasure in seeing the ratings being lower than any time in Grey’s history. Seems ending Gizzie did not help their ratings at all.
Izzie fell in love twice, with Denny and George. She was not in love with Hank or with stupid Alex, she never told him she loved him. He was just her very own sex toy. And he never should be anything more, Alex makes me sick.
George and Izzie were beautiful together, they radiated happinness and they were at their best.

George and Izzie are the only couple I ever cared about on this show, all the other couples disgusted me, especially Lexziepuke. They were magic together.
I am not giving up hope. How many times has Assiello said Gizzie was over now, did he not say they would never happen in the first place? He is always wrong. Plus, they might be over for now but I doubt he knows for sure if they will ever happen again, no couple is ever over for good until the evry last episode airs or one of the actors leave. I will never give up on Gizzie, it makes me want to fight for them three times as hard. I will not quit the show, but I will def. not watch as religiously
I used to work in market research and I have also been a member of the Touchstone Panel. Before you all accuse everyone, let me explain to you how it works. Specific questions are asked for a reason. When the panel is being run, any answer not considered valid is discarded. For example, if the question posed is ‘Do you like the character of Cristina?” any answer such as “I love Gizzie”, “I love Mer/Der”, “I hate Gizzie” or “I hate Mer/Der” is discarded. Any answer not answering the question is not considered a valid answer. It will not get back to the network/producers as part of the results of the panel. So, blaming the supposed haters for typing “I hate Gizzie” regardless of the question posed is an irrelevant argument. Those responses were never received.
As for not being informed of the panel, I do not visit or post on the ABC message board or the TWOP boards and I was aware. If you weren’t that isn’t other fanbases fault. If a Mer/Der fan didn’t tell you that isn’t anyone’s fault either. It is not the responsibility of any fan to notify every other fan of options available to make their voice heard.
As for the breakup of Gizzie, I am sorry you are upset. I don’t “ship” any couple on Grey’s and I don’t care one way or another if any break up or not. I watch for the show as a whole, not for a coupling. I’m unsure why anyone is surprised - each and every couple on Grey’s Anatomy has broken up. There are no stable or happy relationships. Why would Gizzie be any different than other relationships portrayed on the show in the past 4 seasons?

I always saw George and Izzie has best friends. Never as the great love of each other’s lives. I want Izzie to go back to the kick ass doctor she was trying to become. I want George to find the man that he was proud of when he helped Bailey have her son. I want Bailey to make people jump and run when she looks at them.
I want Derek to wise up and realize that he is as flawed as Meredith, and that he is screwing up the most important relationship in his life. I want Meredith to realize that she is important and to realize that she should mean something to herself first. I also want Meredith to see both of her parents as flawed individuals who did the best that they could even when it wasn’t enough. I want her to see herself in her younger sister and I want them to stick together because sisters (blood or not) are everything.
I want Yang to show everyone her brillance in surgery and to stand up to her mother and be her own woman.
I want Richard to go back to his wife.
I want Addison to return to the show (for how ever brief) and kick ass and tell everyone to shape up.
I love Callie. Unfortunately, I don’t believe she will ever be happy at Seattle Grace. I think when Addison comes back that Callie should bum a ride to California and start over at Private Practice. I love the actress that plays Callie and believe that she should be given a chance to continue playing this character. There is so much more to explore.
I also want the show to return its focus to the original group. We have gotten lost along the way and I believe the writers need to do some major story writing to tie up the ends and allow some of the characters to disappear (stop killing people off).

Hello, what the person said was people there cheated to get on the panel so they would vote against Gizzie. Of course, you were informed, you are not a Gizzie fan. That is the thing, I also post on FF, and one of the Gizzie haters, who hated how things were done, told me they had been specifically told not to post news of this panel on any boards where there was a lot of Gizzie fans so we would not be informed. This was done on purpose.
Only 400 people participated in the panell. The Gizzie fan community consists of 505 fans alone, do you not think if they had been warned, they would have participated in the panel, would have voted on the poll and the results would have been much different?
God I saw haters surprised at the results, they said I hate them but everyone I knows love them, how can the resukts be 95% against?
We were purposely kept in the dark about this panel because they knew if we voted, the results would be 50-50, like they were on this site when a poll was done on Gizzie.
And this poll had 48 000 people voting, not 400, I think it would be miore reprsentative of the fanbase.
Yet the panel made up of 400 measly people, 400, was made to be an accurate representatuion of the Grey’s entire fanbase about Gizzie. Over in Australia, one host said 95% of the whole Grey american fanbase hated Gizzie, since when do 400 people represent the 21 million Americans who watch Grey?
The fact that on most polls, with a lot more participants, Gizzie scored 50% and up of the vote did not matter, the only votes that seem to matter is the Panel and the ABC ones.
If they do not matter, why are some Gizzie haters spending all days spamming those polls? They obviously think they do, they don’t spam other polls against Gizzie, just those ones.
I would bet anything that people are divided 50-50 on Gizzie, yet all the critics keep acting like Gizzie has no fans, which is so far from the truth.
Most of the fans I know don’t go on line or vote or participate in panels and most of them adore Gizzie together.
Yet the Net with its spammed polls are given all the importance.
I am not an idiot, I know how panels work, I don’t care how many people said I love or hate Gizzie, the point is over at TWOP, they were inviting people to email their friends the answer to get in and telling their friends the answer to give on polls, specifically to vote in favour of MerDer, vote against Gizzie, and vote against Lexie .
I know, I had a friend who post there who told me the truth after the results came out and told me exactly how they were instructed to vote and all that.
Then this is the same site that instructed their members to send messages to Grey matter under different names to bash Gizzie and Lexie and so on.
Those panels are the easiest thing in the world to spam, and those results were givenm out everywhere, like 400 people really represented the Grey fanbase.
George and Izzie have a really huge fanbase, but we are never mentioned
To me, George and Izzie have true love. I see it in the way they look at each other.
Breaking them up and not taking advantage of their amazing chemistry is completely idiotic, then Shonda was never that bright.

I stopped watching the show weeks ago when they ended, have not missed it, and now with that news, have no desire to come back.

Who says George isn’t hot enough for Izzie? George used to be a lovable dork in like season 2, when he was all loved up on Meredith but in season 3 George was hot. He is hot in this season as well. George has really evolved from a cutie to a hottie in the last two years. He is so good enough for Izzie. I don’t get why people cared so much that Gizzie were together. I didn’t care, they were cute. They are not my ship, MerDer all the way for me but Gizzie should have been given a real chance. You guys should fight hard for Gizzie. We fought hard for MerDer and now it is FINALLY happening for us. Shonda is clueless and doesn’t listen to her fans but if she loses ratings she will rethink. I stopped watching because of the stupid and FORCED Derek Rose storyline and so did alot of MerDer fans. I have seen Lexzie fans say things like Alex is hot, George is not, Izzie should be with the hot guy, and the critic over at EW kept saying that Izzie is hot and should be with a hot guy not George, who is not hot.
As if love had anything to do with hotness, those shallow judgments bug me to death, plus I find George very hot especially lately.
I am not watching the show without Gizzie but I will still fight for them until the very last episode airs.

It’s fictional. As far as the Gizzie fanbase being treated worse than any other fanbase, I think that’s stretching the point. Fans of Callie the character and George and Callie the couple made out MUCH WORSE from this whole debacle, quite honestly. I don’t think Gizzie fans were slapped in the face at all, as there were hints all along that this pairing was not going to work out. Compared to others, Gizzie fans did quite well.
As far as the second panel where the Gizzie fans did “quite well”, that’s not accurate. Having a group of fans responding inappropriately to other questions with “I love Gizzie!” or “Gizzie! Gizzie! Gizzie!” when the question is about “Ugly Betty” is not doing quite well - those comments were disregarded. All of the rabid fanbase rah-rahing means nothing when if you look at the percentages, the majority of people who attended the panel when asked which intern you are least interested in picked Izzie or George.
As far as accusing other posters of “picking on” the Gizzie fans, I remember when the whole thing first started. I was told numerous times I was blind, didn’t know chemistry if it hit me in the a**, was stupid, etc. Sorry, folks - you can’t have sword and shield. It all flew both ways.
What I have to laugh at is the assertion that the Gizzie fanbase is above spamming. Considering that there have been allegations that people know at leat 400-1500 Gizzie fans online, are you in all of their houses? Do you know what they are doing? Do you follow them home? The simple answer is no.
George and Izzie were pretty much the only couple on the show that understood each other emotionally and actually had some kind of foundation. I give up.
This whole thing is rediculous. I think it’s hilarious how many of you are taking this sooooo seriously. It’s not real life. Sure, I was grossed out when they got together, but that’s because I was a George/Callie shipper. For me, George and Izzie were just totally thrown in our faces out of nowhere. Neither of them actually had much interest in each other like that ever. To me, Izzie pretty much just used George because she was jealous of what he and Callie had. Plus, she was totally rude to Callie for no reasons at all. Name 1 situation where Callie deserved the crap Izzie gave her, because I can’t think of any. She was never rude to Izzie, so there is no justice for what Izzie did at all.
And let’s be even more honest. They got together from a one night stand. How many times do those actually work out? Seriously, if every single one night stand in the world meant that those 2 people were in love, than we might as well forget about Grey’s Anatomy and having real life drama recorded, because that would mean the world is even more twisted than television, which is just totally wrong.

I admit, I was a bit shocked with Gizzie at first, but it grew on me. I won’t be devastated about them breaking up, even though I was a loyal fan, because: the show doesn’t revolve around them. It used to revolve around Meredith, but that changed.
As far as I’m concerned, it’s okay what the writer’s write. I am a loyal fan who’ll follow the show, even if they kill of Derek or Izzie, or put George or Miranda in an irreversible coma. I loved Bang, but when Burke left, I thought ‘the show has to go on’. Or when Addison went off to Sta. Monica (is it?) I was surprised and sad, because I loved Addison, but the show goes on, and eventually, you will find another couple you love, and that you will be pissed at Shonda because she broke them up and we’ll repeat it over and over again.

all of you gizzie fans are giving up too easily. your favorite couple was only together for a few episodes. then, they break up and you just give up on grey’s. Merder fans have been watching our favorite couple since the first moment of the first episode of the first season. they’ve broken up many times. but we didn’t give up on grey’s! we fought for what we wanted and now it is paying off. if you are truly grey’s fans and gizzie fans you will do the same.
So many comments are coming from this one spoiler about the demise of Gizzie. Their sex life (not necessarily their friendship) is ending. Get over it. It’s a TELEVISION show!
How do we know the poll is spammed? Simple, some haters posted on their blogs about spamming it, they probably thought we would not go there. Plus it is pretty obvious when after 8 days, the poll suddenly starts getting more votes than ever, something like 300 votes in not even 10 minutes and Gizzie suddenly starts dropping big time. Every single day at the exact same time, there starts to be a huge influx of votes and Gizzie goes down.
Plus, on other sites, Gizzie is actually getting the majority of the votes. Over on one site, 72% of people said they wanted them together, that poll was done at the same time. How can they get 72% of the vote at one place and at the other 70% against.
The first poll that was on ABC, it ended up 50-50 but I know for a fact both sides were spamming it, and the names of the people who were doing it.
I was telling this person Gizzie is getting 50% of the vote on ABC and it is not spammable because there is an URL address and she went something like give me a break, I spammed it all day against Gizzie and got about 2000 votes in using my dial-up connexion, so the Gizzie fans must be doing it too.
This same fan has been posting everywhere the results of that poll, the same one who admitted spamming the first poll.
The Gizzie fan who spammed the first poll after elarning the other side was spamming quit the show since then, so this time around, the spamming was done on one side only.
The poll is easy to spam, I tried it, I didn’t spam it, I voted equally on both sides not to cheat, but it let me vote repeatedly.
The ABc vote has been going up very fast and usually after a few days, the number of votes goes down, the the number of votes keep going up, sometimes about 2000 votes a day and Gizzie keeps going down, and like I said it is always at the same time of the day.
Even without the confession, any semi-smart people would know it was spammed, especially when on many sites, Gizzie does very well on polls and often wins favorite couple or second favorite couple after MerDer.

just because the majority of votes come at a certain time of day doesn’t mean it is being spammed. it may because most people are free at certain times of day as opposed to at school or work. just because someone admitted to spamming doesn’t mean everyone is doing it. and you said yourself that you knew gizzie fans spamming as well, so i imagine it would even out. the large number of votes just means a lot of people have an opinion on the issue. 2000 isn’t that many when you think that grey’s anatomy has over 20 million viewers. and the fact that other sites show different results is because fans with similar opinions tend to cluster together on sites. i’m sure some sites are almost entirely pro-gizzie while others may be almost completely anti-gizzie. it’s all a matter of perspective
Well, things are easier for MerDer fans, you don’t have to hear critics bash your couple repeatedly and act like you don’t exist. We have been writing letters to Aussiello and Kristen and none of them ever publish our letters. I know one time on a Gizzie board where there are hundreds of fans, we all said we would send him pro-Gizzie letters at the same time. Yet not one of our letters were published. Not only that Assiello that very same week did an interview with Shonda and told her all the fans hated Gizzie. Not the majority, ALL of them.
Kristen asked people what they thought of Gizzie and said she would transmit the results to Shonda, 68% of the people declared themselves pro-Gizzie but she never mentioned it again, and also ignored all our letters.
The MerDer fans are always mentioned, it is always said that the majority of people are MerDer fans and really how the heck can they know?
Because the majority of people online are, well online fans are just about 5% of the entire fanbase, and I know a heck of a lot of people offline who cannot stand MerDer together. I like them, but I know many people who don’t.
Even on the Net on some sites, there were polls and a majority of people said they were tired of MerDer and did not like them. On one site, they repeatedly won worst couple.
Yet not of this is ever mentioned by critics who keep telling Shonda EVERYONE loves MerDer.
I am not begrudging you guys, I love MerDer, just saying you have the critics on your side, and even the MerDer haters would never spam a poll against them.
Some Gizzie haters live to see them end.
On one site there was a poll about favorite couple. Gizzie was in second place, and over at Fanforum and another site, over on the Alex and Izzie threads, Alex and Izzie were not one of the choice by the way, they incited the Lexzie fans to vote for any other couples beside Gizzie and MerDer so Gizzie would not even win second.
Over on Fanpop, Gizzie was winning favorite couple on TV, a Gizzie hater went all over the Net, TWOP, Tv-com, inciting the Gizzie haters to vote for any other couple so Gizzie would not win favorite couple.
Over on Tv-com, there was a Gizie vs Lexzie poll and this Lexzie fan went to post all over the Net to ask Lexzie fans to please vote because Gizzie was winning and this could not happen. This was a small site board, a vote for Tv-com members only, yet they went to other sites to ask them to become members just so Gizzie would not win.
George is winning most gorgeous guy and the person who made the thread keeps begging people to vote more because George cannot win this, it would be criminal.
The level of hate directed at Gizzie is frightening.
And no, most Gizzie fans have not been spamming because we do not want to stoop to that level.
None of the other fanbases have had to deal with that much level of hate and duplicity, and to see that this duplicity is rewarded is enough to make me sick.
You do know people on TWOP and other Gizzie haters are bragging about scaring Shonda into doing the right thing, right? They are bragging they can get Shonda to do whatever they want by threatening her.
There is just as many Gizzie fans out there than Gizzie haters. I post on many Gizzie sites, I post on Youtube and I have seen how many people love this couple like me. The fact that we have lives and don’t have all days to spam polls does not make us any less passionate. Yes those spamming and cheating and threatening are getting their wishes while we get stabbed in the back and left with nothing.
Sorry but I have lost all respect for Shonda and the writers and there is no way I can watch a show by a woman I do not respect.
It’s IMPOSSIBLE to say who spammed what poll. There are many ways to try to alter the outcome of a poll. Some fanbases keep the link to themselves and don’t post it on a common board. As pointed out above, certain ages tend to cluster to certain sites, skewing the polls also.
I just don’t get the hate for Ausiello. Why shoot the messenger? Kristen seemed to WANT Gizzie before it actually happened, and I don’t remember people making nasty nicknames about her. Quite frankly, maybe sending the man hate mail when he said he didn’t like Gizzie may have made him upset?
I said one Gizzie fan did it on the LAST poll, nobody else on our site wanted to do it, and he was pretty much shunned for it. The results ended up 50-50, there were at least 3 Gizzie haters I knew who were spamming it. This time around, nobody wanted to spam it, and it is pretty obvious we didn’t as the against side is getting 70% of the vote and keeps rising. If some Gizzie fans are spamming, they are either doing a really lousy job or the other site is spamming it 100 times harder.
I have been all over the Net and there is NO way in hell Gizzie has such a little fanbase, especially since on all the other polls they are scoring so well.
So every single day at the same hour, hundreds and hundreds of Gizzie haters get together to vote on a poll, and all those people are against Gizzie, please!
You do remember this poll is available to people all over the world, right, and that people don’t have the same hours. Over on one of the Gizzie fansite I go to, there are activities at all hours of the day because we come from all over the world qand when one of us sleep, others are awake.
But you expect me to believe that for two weeks straight, the same number of people has been voting at the same hour of the day against Gizzie.
You are either very naive or you think ABC is.
And again, Internet is 5% of the fanbase, so one poll does not mean Gizzie is hated, just that the Gizzie fans don’t have the energy to spam all day an that most of us have lives.

Hate mail? Nobody sent Assiello hate mail, we just said we loved the couple and if they were going to be together, but he never answered any of the emails.

A friend of mine sent a pro-Gizzie, anti-Lexzie letter and he cut off parts of her letter to make it seem like it was a pro-Lexzie letter.
One of my friends sent a letter saying she didn’t know why he kept saying nobody loved Gizzie, because everyone of HER FRIENDS loved them. He cut the friends part and made it seem like my friend said everyone loved Gizzie, and then laughed at her and said whatever, you are really delusional.

people are talking about the hundreds of people they know via internet who are gizzie fans. since 5% of the fanbase is represented on the internet, we can assume there are approximately 1 million grey’s anatomy fans represented online. a few hundred or even a few thousand isn’t much compared to 1 million.
I was on TWOP over the summer when Kristen announced Shonda was seriously thinking of dropping Gizzie and their words were Shonda has finally listened to us, the real fans, I knew we could get her to see things our way.
People on TWOP constantly brag about being smarter than Shonda. In fact the Grey matter part of TWOP is called We could write the show better than her.
They constantly say if Shonda let us write, the show would be so much better
They say the Gizzie fans are stupid teenagers who know nothing about life and nobody should take them seriously. After the panel, they said we will get Shonda to fire Lexie and end Gizzie.
They attacked the Gizzie fans who dared to post on the Gizzie thread there so much, the mod had to close the thread four times and warn the fans there to stop attacking the Gizzie fans, and harassing them.
And yes, they have boasted many times about getting Shonda to do what they want. I was on the board not even two weeks ago, and they said things Gizzie will never happen again because we were able to help Shonda realize her mistake, what would she do without us? And so on.
Their next goal? To get Rose fired
TWOP people are very scary.

They hate Gizzie almost as intensely as they do Katie and their hate for Katherine is very scary, and they often say that if they hate Gizzie, it means the majority of the fanbase does, because they represent most fans who watch the show.

Devin, that is the point the Gizzie fans are trying to make. We have no idea what the majority of fans think, as 21 millions in the US alone watch the show, and this might reach the 100 millions in the world, not even 100 000 Grey fans post on the Net. Yet Aussiello and the likes used a 400 people panel poll, of which many Gizzie fans were not even aware of, to determine that 95% of the United States hated Gizzie. The critics always use the Net to say everyone hates Gizzie, and really they have no idea unless they talk to the millions of fans. The Gizzie fans have never pretended to be the majority, we only said that there were a whole lot of us out there that we knew of.
That is what makes us angry, the pretending we don’t exist when truth be told, the people who love Gizzie really do completely and totally.
To act like those fans do not exist is insulting.
I knew a critic who was pro-Gizzie who didn’t even know about any other board except ABC and TWEOP and honestly thought everyone on the Net hated them. When I sent him all the Gizzie fan sites and he saw the number of Gizzie fan that posted on the Net, he was positively surprised.
There are a lot of us, yet the fake perception that everyone hates Gizzie is still being believed both by Gizzie haters and fans.
And that false perception is probably what killed our couple.
I can tell you I watch the show with my entire dorm and Gizzie is the one couple we all love and watch for.
When they were together, we would watch religiously the show, but since they broke up, most of us don’t watch anymore.
The passion is gone.
Most Gizzie fans I know watch for those two and those two alone and I know many who have quit the show when they ended.
I think I will follow them.
I am not a Grey fan, it is a cliche, boring, preeictable soapy show.

I understand that all of you Gizzie lovers are upset, but don’t get mad that nobody cares about what you think. Sure, sending letters and emails and things to people such as Ausiello could help, but also think about it this way. Maybe because they got too much mail about it, maybe that’s why nobody’s letters got answered. There is only so much someone can do. And I still find it sad that 1 television non couple will make you stop watching a show. Like I mentioned, I was a George and Callie shipper all the way, but that doesn’t seem like it will come back, but does that make me hate the show or stop watching it? No, but I would like to see Callie stop getting the crappy stuff. She also needs to get a good storyline, but of course the only time she gets one, is if Izzie says something stupid to people.

Because Shonda is a liar and a coward. This hurt goes way too deep for me. We waited four seasons for Gizzie and this is what we get? Endless bad sex and a terrible vo, and them not even being able to kiss. George and Izzie’s scenes were the only ones I could rewatch a million times over. I miss them, I want them together and having ASSiello the loser bash my couple yet again and gloat is way beyond what I can bear.
I hate this, this is the absolute last time I put any faith in this woman. I never should have let myself fall that deeply in love with any couple on this show, but I couldn’t help myself with those two and now I am paying the price.
I seriously hate her for this and Assiello, and I wouldn’t mind iof the show got cancelled, it would be better than seeing Lexziepuke again.
George and Izzie’s love story lasted 20 episodes, from 3.18 to 4.10. Even they realized they lack chemistry. That is the thing, they had AMAZING chemistry last season. They ahd the ebsts ex of their lives together, and that 20-second sex scene was the hottest sex scene I have ever seen. They had that beyond hot kiss in the elevator that amde me want to take a very cold shower. Go on Youtube and watch the number of times this scene has been put up and how many people, even non-fans, go on and on about how hot it was. The way his hand just caressed her and went down on her was the hottest thing I have ever seen in my life.
When they nearly kissed in the hall in episode 2, and George was left his mouth open, I could feel the intensity of their desire right from my living room, it pierced my screen.
Many of us see the amazing chemistry there and many of us are not buying the no-chemistry thing. They had wonderful chemistry up to episode 5 this season, chemistry does not just go away, and when they danced after their break-up, that chemistry was right through the screen, they seemed and acted like a couple deeply in love.
I don’t buy the no-chemistry thing because those two have more pure chemistry holding hands than Lexziepuke had in all their grossly uncomfortable sex scenes put together.
No you obviously don’t get it because you didn’t wait four years for your couple to be togetehr, thinking they never would be and then they were and they were better than you could ever dreamed of. the chemistry was perfect,. the love wonderful and they were more ebautiful than any other couple and then you got told that all that chemistry you saw in their every scene was a figment of your imagination.
So no you don’t get it how it is to have your dream, come true and then have it taken away in the most humliliating way possible.
You don’t get it so why don’t you shut up about it because you never will get it and how much the Gizzie fans love this couple.
We are not upset George and Izzie’s sex life is over, we are upset their LOVE life is, their love story. Gizzie is about love much more than sex, unlike the other couples on this show, but the non-fans never got that and still don’t.
We do like their friendship but it is very obvious they are much more than friends, we want them as a COUPLE and as FRIENDS, many people do it and those two were perfect as both.
But no way will I ever accept Gizzie as just friends after seeing how in love they were. This will never do anymore for me.

Katherine Heigl did say that people either LOVED or HATED Gizzie so it would be hard to accomodate both groups in a show. But I hate how Ausiello and his team have treated us Gizzie fans. We have yet to see anything overly romantic between George and Izzie, which I think we should have seen in order for more people to like them. But some people thought of them as a potential couple from the first episode.
Because you are fixated on the way Gizzie got together, not one of the Gizzie fans loved this, but we saw the depth of their love and need for each other. The way Izzie smiled at George when they made love and it wasd love not sex, Shonda said so herself. Pure happiness and love in that smile, that smile made me fall in love with Gizzie along with the shy cute smile he gave her. The way George was so worried about ehr when Hannah was there and he went to held her hand. The way she told him about Hannah and was so scared he would judge her, but he thought she was brave. The way he encouraged her to look at her daughter and held her hand. The way his eyes teared up with so much pain and love watching her watch her daughter, just pure love in that look. The way he had never looked at Callie. The way he put her pants on in that room so tenderly not to cause her pain with so much intimacy, it was hot and sensual and so very very loving, a gesture only two people with total love and intimacy could have. The way he put cake in ehr mouth and laughed when she threw it at him, a closeness, a bond, the laughter they have together. The way they held hands on that bench saying they made it, caressing each other<s fingers and smiling at each other with so much love. The way Izzie<s face lit up when he told her I loved you too and how she laughed when he said you are hardcore baby.
The way they spooned on the bed so tenderly when she was too tired to have sex, how he gently hold her to him, the way he kissed her shoulder that day they broke up with so much love. The way they danced together, floating together, as if their bodies had always danced together.
That is intimacy.
With Izzie, george is confident and happy, With Callie, he is a dog beaten down with a newspaper.
With George, Izzie lights up like she never does.
They make each other happy, they are the golden team and they just fit.

I wish the Gizzie shippers who say they are going are going to stop watching the show would actually stop watching. Many of you have been saying that for such a long time yet you continue to watch and post over and over complaining about the show and how you’ll stop watching.
Face it, Gizzie and Gizzie shippers won’t be missed by the majority of people. So please, for once do what you actually say you’ll do - STOP WATCHING!
Annoyed, a lot of Gizzie fans have stopped watching, have you not read the posts where they said they ahd stopped or are you not smart enough to have even the basic reading and comprehension skills.
I know many Gizzie fans said if Gizzie ended they would leave and I have not seen them around since, a lot of Gizzie fans have completely given up on the show, because they knew Shonda has never seen us and never will.
Some Gizzie fans will stick around though and fight for Gizzie until the evry last episode, and since Gizzie has a very large fanbase, expect us to be in your faces for a very long time to come.
So now you know what the majority of the millions of people who watch the show feel like? Get oevr yourself, the few hundreds of people max you know on the Net do not represent the majority of the fanbase and if you had any intelligence, you would know that.
Look at the ratings after episode 8, when it was obvious Gizzie was ending, look at the ratings ater that episode, the ratings dropped 5 millions people, so it looks like the Gizzie fans kept their word and left and the show’s ratings have never been that low.
And a lot of Gizzie fans are still around, if they all leave, the ratings will go even more down the toilet, LOL, but maybe you want the show cancelled

Wow, I don’t think there was THIS much of an uproar when MerDer split. I must say, though, the Gizzie haters could be just a tad bit more compassionate about this instead of rubbing it in the lovers’ faces. That’s pretty rude.

What really drew me into their love story was that kiss they shared at the end of season three. The one in the elevator. It was so real and passionate. Superb acting, but it was the most real thing I had ever seen on the show. And if you see the way they look at each other. Not that “Hey, McDreamy, let’s go have a quickie in the on-call room” look you get between Meredith and McDreamy frequently, but it’s that “I’m in love with you” look.
That’s what I see, anyway. And I love that.

With George and Izzie, I often forget those are two actors and totally buy those are two people completely in love. Well, it depends on where you ask. On Team Sugar, 72% OF PEOPLE SAID gIZZIE SHOULD BE A COUPLE. On BuddyTV, George and Izzie won favorite couple in the 4 couple showdown. Alex and Izzie won most hated couple, MerDer and Gizzie were second (yes, the supposedly so popular MerDer) but they were 14% behind Alex and Izzie, who won most hated couple by a landslide. On Tv-com, 56% of people said Gizzie should be together. On Fanpop, 60% said Gizzie in love was a good thing and 51% said Gizzie being together was not a mistake in the most popular vote on the site ((Fanpop’s Grey site has almost 5000 fans). 61% of people said they did NOT want Alex and Izzie together. And George was voted as the guy people most wanted Izzie with. On an Australian poll, 59% of people wanted Gizzie together. I guess it depends on what sites you go to, on ABC and TWOP, Gizzie would not win polls but on sites like BuddyTV, Tv-com, fanforum, Fanpop, they would because they have a majority of fans there. On voote-com, the won hottest couple.
As for the majority of the entire fanbase, how can anyone be pretentious enough to know?
We don’t know the 20 million people who watch Grey in the US, not to mention the millions of people who watch the show worldwide so how can you claim to know? If you know the millions of people who watch, I am impressed because you have the largest group of acquaintances I know.
I know that most of the people I know love those two together, I know many have already quit the show over them ending (which they did in December, so why is Ass only reporting this now, the guy is months late).

When I heard they would have a drunken one-night stand, I thought it would be cheap and tawdry like the Lexziepuke scenes in season 2 that made me vomit, but when I watched them, it was so lovely. They didn’t seem drunk. it was filmed with so much love and tenderness I knew Shonda loved those two.
The way he sweetly and hotly kissed her stomach, the way she caressed his face and hair so tenderly and lovingly, how they got lost in each other’s eyes and smiled so lovingly at each other.
They made a drunken adulterous night seem like the most lovely, beautiful loving love scene in the world, and no other couple could have done that.

Reading all the posts, I think, are there any GreysAntomy fans. I mean SERIOUSLY!!!!! have a bit of loyalty to the awesome writers that have kept the show interesting, on edge, real and not like very other show on tv. Personally, I can’t wait to see what unfolds. New drama on the horizon, I can’t wait.
The ABC Panel, Mer/Der fans, Alex/Izzie fans, TWOP, the ABC boards, Kristin from E!, Michael Aussiello, ABC, angry fans, spamers, editors, Shonda Rhimes, the writers…everyone’s to blame for GIZZIE falling apart, but truth of the matter is, this is Shonda’s show and she’ll run it the way she wants to. And for fans pointing a finger, right back at you. I have been on the GA boards since this show started and when the GIZZIE fans started up in S3 in mass, the blame games and anger began. This is not a show run by fans. The net represents a very small part of the 19 million plus viewers who watch it. Truth of the matter is, even Heigl called it a “ratings ploy” this season. TR Knight in a recent interview said “George should be SINGLE for awhile as well. It’s a tv show. These are two amazing actors and to be honest, both George and Izzie were at their worst together. Both selfish and uncaring and from the George character in particular, that was disturbing. I want the old George back. The one pre “GIZZIE” the character who used to be all heart. As for TWOP, those moderators are some of the most strict and unforgiving on the new. You threaten someone on there, and you are getting kicked off, plain and simple, doesn’t matter whether you are a GIZZIE fan or a fan of any other character. The fact that you are pointing fingers all over the place, makes you seem like little kids. It’s not even in the spirit of this show. Instead of threatening to leave, you should be “hoping” Shonda finally starts writing fro her characters again and write decent story lines. The rest of this tv couple’s stuff won’t mean a thing if the story keeps going downhill. Stop all your blaming-it’s childish.
The TWOP mod are strict. Are you kidding me? When I posted on TWOP, I kept receiving PMs from Gizzie haters trying to chase me from the site, telling me my opinions were not welcome here, that they were serious fans and they didn’t want some twit like me, those PMS were non-stop harassing me. I sent them to the mod and she gave a very general warning that BOTH sides should respect each other, she didn’t even warn those people, I had to leave the show.
And to be honest, LOL, that is not honesty, that is your opinion.
Do you also know that Katie said that even though she hated how Gizzie got together and felt it was done for shock and ratings, that she also believed in Izzie and George, that when she saw them together, she kept thinking that is why they should be together because there is such pure joy for Izzie to be around him.
Do you also know that George said that he thought Izzie and george were always meant to happen one day or the other because they had that connection together?
He also said he wished his character could find love and get to keep it.
Both he and Katie have said they believed in George and Izzie’s love for each other even though they hated the afafir thing.
And I don,t believe they brought out the worst in each other, I believe they brought out the best.
With Callie, george always looks defeated, unsure of himself, unhappy. The George of episode 2 this season, the one with Izzie was sexy, confident, sure of himself and more happy than I have ever seen him.
The Izzie with George smiled brighter than I have ever seen her smile, she was happy, katherine is right, George does bring her pure joy.
Compare that to Alex and Izzie. Izzie with Alex was selfish, purely obsessed with her owns exual needs, she treated Alex like crap, like a seuxla toy she could discard when those who really meant something to her, namely Denny and George (even then George passed very first with her) needed her. Izzie always put George and his needs above all else, she never did that with Alex.
And Alex with Izzie? God he was awful. He was insecure, cheated on her, treated her like crap on their first date. Then when she dumped his sorry butt, he started telling her all the time how Denny, the man she loved, would croak any day now. He had to shock Denny’s heart and purposely did it too hard so he would hurt him and when Denny screamed in pain, he grinned viciously. Yet some people want this disgusting couple together.
George and Izzie may have hurt Callie, but I firmly believe this marriage was doomed from the start, Izzie or not, that is why Callie was in such a hurry tio get a grieving George to elope.
George and Izzie were in love, it was obvious for some time now, Callie saw it, they saw it too late, and love makes you do crazy things.
But their love for each other is real, unbreakable and unconditional, and I will never stop rooting for the two of them to be together
And oh please, the MerDer fans have been whining for months to get their couple back and threatening and insulting Shonda, and the MerDer fans are the majority of the fanbase, give me a break with the spirit of the show.
This show is filled with characters who all cheat on each other, lie and act like high school kids and during the Good morning event, Shonda called the Grey anatomy fanbase, particularly the MerDer one, completely crazy and read MerDer fans letters threatening her, laughing at them.
The Gizzie fans at least love Justin and Sara and even Callie despite their love for Gizzie.
The MerDer fans, not all of them, but a lot spam polls all day (you don,t really believe 85% of people want MerDer together, no), and bash any actors that play characters that come between MerDer.
Both Chyler and the girl who play Rose have been asked if they were afraid of the MerDer fans and admitted to be a little bit scared because they were so fanatic. I have seen people on the MerDer fan thread on fanforum bash the two actresses who play lexie and Rose, call them ugly and not talented, and say they wish they could slap them if they met her on the street. Every interveiw they amde, they would say how the two seemed so stupid and unintelligent and letm,s not forget some Ellen’s fans rabid hate of Kate Walsh and Katherine heigl.
The Gizzie fans keep getting lectures. On one site, this crazy Lexzie fans said all Gizzie fans would burn in hell, IN HELL her words, because she knew we were spamming the Grey matter board and that is why 90% of the posts were pro-Gizzie, she knew we had stolen MerDer and Lexzie’s posts and transformed them into pro-Gizize posts, never mind that the three couples are totally different and the posts would look nothing alike. She posted 8 times, saying we would pay and we would go in hell and justice would be done. The funny thing is she admirted to spamming polls against Gizzie to even our Grey matter supposed spamming, so maybe she will join us right in hell. It was hilariously funny in a creepy way.
All the fanbases keep complaining about wanting their couples, many fans of different couples have threatened to quit the show, I know some Lexzie fans have said if Lexzie don,t happen this season, we are quitting for good, and stupid Shonda and she hates us and so on, a bit much like you are accusing the Gizzie fans of doing. They also say the girl who plays Ava looks like a horse and they wish the show would fire her ugly face and things like that.
Where are all your lectures for them?
Or is it ok when other fanbases do it, but Gizzie fans have to shut up and be good, little obedient kids, please explain the double standards there.
I hated how Gizzie got together, but I love the couple and it is my most fervent wish that they get another chance and this time, they get together the right way, without lies or cheating. No couple’s love feels more real and no couple has ever made me care this much, so I am sorry, no I will not stop wishing for my couple to get together.
Grey is the only show I watch for one couple, but then that is because I don’t think like you do the writers are doing such an amazing job, I think the show is filled with boring, very predictable stories, and the Gizzie story was the one thing they did differently and they couldn’t handle it.
The show used to be good, it stopped being that a long time ago and George and Izzie was the one magic thing left, and I attribute most of that to TR and Katie’s wonderful chemistry, not the writers, who, like you said, have not done their wonderful love story any justice.

Let me tell you all something about Izzie and George. 1st Izzie slept with George last season because he married Callie and she never liked Callie and she thought she was losing her best friend. Izzie is a selfish person when it comes to George and when they were best friend she used to treat him like a child. 2nd the other reason they had sex last season (that was the only thing they did really )she was piss cuz george didn’t tell her that he got married. The point is that what happen between george and izzie wasn’t love it was control. Meaning Izzie couln’t stand the fact that george was growing up without consulting her.
Another this show is about people with relationship issues and they all have relationship issue specially george, izzie, meredith, cristina and Alex they all have issue and they need to deal with it like adults not with sleepin with their best friend it doesn’t solved anything. Anyways george need someone more like him and izzie is not like him when it comes to relationships. Gizzie fans need a little perspetive is a show and one day is going to be over. they need new charaters people from outside the damn hospital.
Well, this is YOUR opinion. Many Gizzie fans don’t feel the same way you do. The way I see it, Izzie always loved george, from day 1, they had a connection and his opiniona dn his presence in her life always meant more than anything to her. Izzie always believed in George, trusted him and saw the greatness in him when nobody did. When Meredith would not notice him, Izzie would notice how he let his hair grow out, if he put a new shirt in and everything about him. She noticed him. When there was the thing with Mer, she unconditionnally took his side no questions asked, she went to war with Mer because Mer had hurt him and she hated that.
There was always this love, this bond, this connection with them and George was not only Izzie’s best friend, he was her person.
UIt was obvious when she spent a whole conversattion with Denny talking about him.
Izzie wasn,t angry at George for not telling her he married Callie, she was genuinely worried that, being half-craxy with grief, he had no thought over well the most important decision of his life and would be hurt by it, and she was angry that Callie took advantage iof the situation to have George elope.
I only have to look at the way Izzie smiles at George, lights up when she is next to him and looks at him with total love to know she is completely in love with him.
NBow Shonda might change things, but to me her love for George is obvious, you can see it in her every gesture with him and in the way she looks at him and in the way he can make her laugh when nobody else can.
And george and Izzie want exactly the same thing in a relationship, which is one of the things that makes them so great. They both want long-term relationships, marriages, kids. They are both catholics and have the same values.
In fact, of all the couples they are the only couple I can see get married, have kids together and grow old together.
They respect each other, they like each other and they love each other.
Sometimes hearing Gizzie haters talk, you would think they were watching some foreign shows. I actually had three Gizzie haters claim Izzie ddi not even remember her night with George, hello, watch the show people, Izzie remembered, she told George their night together was ALL she could think about.
I think some non-Gizzie fans don’t even watch their scenes, and that is why they get things all wrong about them.
And no, the Gizzie fans don’t need to get perspective, what we need is to stop being told how to feel by annoying people.
We know it is just a show, it doesn’t stop up from loving this couple. The MerDer fans knew it was just a show when they went on hissy fits over MerDer.
Most people watch the show for a character or s specific couple because they appeal to them.
Well, Gizzie appeals to my wife and me, we relatye to them and to their love for each other, and I don,t plan on getting over being royally scrwed any day soon.
But no, I won’t stop watching, I will stay right there and fight for this couple.
George and Izzie are the best couple and this news upset me, but the show is not over yet, and maybe down the line, Gizzie will get together without the adultery.
Those two are amazing together, I have always rooted for them, they just are soulmates IMO and they need to be together.
And yes, I am not giving up on them either.

Well for all you “gizzie” fans out there, i think most of you are pathetic. You are “so angry you cant see straight” over Shonda taking away the “only reason you watched” Grey’s - get a life! First of all, George and Izzie? It was cute. It wasnt that great of a plot line, but they had some cute moments. Secondly, why do so many of you think Shonda has any reason to be “loyal” to you? Its her show, she can do what she wants with it. Its been great so far, have a little faith. And thirdly? It. is. a. tv. show. Jesus christ you people are ridiculous.
I find you pathetic to insult people who are upset. Did you insult the MerDer fans when they whined and cried and said how Shonda had betrayed them? I bet not.
Shonda is the one who promised amazing places and did not deliver.

If you are being attacked on TWOP by private message, there is a place you can complain and the poster will be banned. If you go public on TWOP with an attack then you will certainly be banned. It’s not tolerated. It’s not TWOP’s fault if you choose to let someone privately attack you and not bring it to the attention of the moderators, but publicly, they are as strict as they come. Don’t believe me? Go on there with half of the stuff I see posted above and see how long you or any fan of any of these characters last. I’ve seen people banned for A LOT less than what I see happening here. Get your fact straight and quit blaming all around you for what is happening to TV CHARACTERS.
You can block PMs on TWOP. I agree with the person above, its not TWOP’s fault if you chose to not report or block nasty PMs sent to you. Additionally, the comments here about TWOP have been sweeping generalizations about TWOP posters. I regularly post on TWOP and see nothing as being described here.
Wow…can all the GIZZIE fans do is blame Mer/Der fans? I’m not crazy about either couple of this show, but wow..instead presenting your argument for the two characters to be together in some mature, passionate, constructive way, you tear apart other fans as your argument? If that’s all you got, then it’s little wonder why Rhimes has decided to end them. You can even think of a reason other than “Mer/Der fans are worse” as an point to keep Geo/Iz together…Really, when you come up with one good point that doesn’t include knocking all the characters and other fans around you then I think I might read it, otherwise, Shonda made the right choice. I don’t suppose it matters though since all of you have now said you will quit watching….Let’s see that’s 19 million minus 25 viewers..now what does that add up to again?
Actually I had the same thing happen to me on TWOP, I reported it like the poster above said she did, read the message correctly next time, and they did nothing, maybe there is a other approach used for Gizzie fans.
LOL about your joke about Gizzie’s 25 fans, only on Livejournal, we have 505 fans and the first poll on Gizzie there, that had 48 000 votes, we ended up with 47% of the votes, 47% of 48 000 makes almost 23 000 Gizzie fans voting just on this site.

That said, many Gizzie fans have already left, thrown away the towel, stopped voting when they saw voting and winning polls made no difference whatsoever, and if you didn,t notice, the last three episodes before the strike were the lowest-rated ever
Thank GOD this crap is over. For the record, I like Heigl. I LOVE TR. I have always loved George and I used to love Izzie. She’s not the same character she was in the beginning. Heigl has even said that. She used to be the sweet little chick who loved Christmas and would do anything for her friends. Honestly, it ALL changed when they introduced Callie. I think the instant hate Izzie felt for Callie was CRAZY. She was never once nice to her. The only scene where she was civil was the one when she was trying to convince Callie to forgive George after he chose to be with Izzie. That got cut and put on the Season 3 bonus scenes. I love Callie. She became my favorite character, but I could have liked them both. They just butchered Izzie. I don’t know how they will redeem her.
Az for Gizzie, the two of them together in a friendly situation are adorable, but as a couple it just never worked. Now, if Shonda had gone in that direction from day one, WHICH SHE DIDN’T, it would be different. If there had been flirtation in the first two seasons, I would buy it. There wasn’t. Izzie laughed at George when he had syphillis. She walked in on him in the shower and asked him to buy her tampons. She treated him like a brother from day one. Hell, at one point Izzie said something and George said, “I am not sleeping with you!” It was a joke, but it was best friend banter, not flirting. The characters got drunk. That’s all it was. Did no one else find it odd that Izzie was upset that Alex had moved on just moments before George walked in with the bourbon? She lost her fiance. She felt like she was losing her best friend. She was grasping for anything and the drunken fling felt real.
I am so happy it is over. I am sure those looks at the end of 4.11 meant SOMETHING. I think we will see George regretting his treatment of Callie. I really hope we get some of Izzie feeling bad for what she did. I am AFRAID George and Callie
