Eric Dane to Star in New Movie
Grey's Anatomy cast member Eric Dane has taken a co-starring role alongside Owen Wilson, Jennifer Aniston and Alan Arkin in Marley & Me.
The feature film - the first for Dane since X-Men United - is an adaptation of John Grogan's bestselling memoir. David Franklin is directing.
Mr. and Mrs. Eric Dane (also known as Rebecca Gayheart).
Owen Wilson plays the ambitious reporter who moves with his wife (Aniston) to Miami for a newspaper job. Eric Dane will play the journalist's best friend, who suggests that the reporter adopt a puppy as a substitute for the children his wife wants to have.
Marley, of course, is an adorable Lab puppy but an incorrigible handful.
We're looking forward to Dane's big-screen return in Marley & Me.

If this film sticks to its expected release date (Dec. 2008), I just got my early Christmas present. Happy to see Eric is getting the opportunity to work on a film that comes from a respected book. This a good opportunity for him to show that he is more than just McSteamy.
