Amy Madigan to Guest Star on Grey’s Anatomy

Amy Madigan (Gone Baby Gone, Twice in a Lifetime) has reportedly been cast in a recurring role on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The actress, nominated for an Oscar for her role in Lifetime, will appear in all five new episodes (Grey’s Anatomy returns April 24) as a psychiatrist at Seattle Grace.

That would be really nice if Mer is seeing the psychiatrist to work her problems out. From what I heard about Mer’s developments and then this casting, I can pretty much predict that it will be her help to get her freakin head straight and be with Derek for good by the end of the season! This is awesome news all in itself.
