Report: Writers' Strike to Conclude This Week, Grey's Anatomy Production to Resume in Early March
Paging the cast of Grey's Anatomy... get back on set, STAT!
With a tentative agreement between striking writers and Hollywood moguls expected to be announced sometime this week, TV Guide's Michael Ausiello reports that production on the show is expected to resume in early March!
The current plan is to shoot four or five new Grey's Anatomy episodes to complete Season 4. Those episodes would air in April and/or May.
A similar scenario is expected to play out at other established ABC hits, such as Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty and Brothers & Sisters.
According to reports, Season 4 of Grey's Anatomy isn't done yet!
Conversely, freshman shows that already received full-season pickups (such as Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money, Samantha Who?) will likely restart their production schedules over the summer ahead of a fall relaunch.
Expect a similar pattern to play out at CBS, NBC and Fox: The more established shows returning in the spring; newer ones held back until this fall. The fate of heavily serialized shows like Lost, Heroes and 24 remains unclear.
Meanwhile, sources close to the talks say the WGA deal is close to the DGA deal, with a few exceptions â€" one of which is a "major breakthrough."

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank the Lord that they are going to come to an agreement with the writers!!! I NEED my Grey's!!!!! This is almost as good as the Giants winning the Super Bowl last night!!!!!!!!!!!

HECK YES!!! I wonder if they will end season 4 with a bang like they did season 2? I hope MerDer hook back up soon because he is only signed for 6 seasons and I am afraid we better enjoy him while we can!! Nothing any better than good ol' MerDer!!!! GO SEASON 4!!!!

YES! YES! YES! This is awesome news! I am so happy now. This definitely made my day. I hope things are sure to end this week. I want my Grey's back, since honestly, thursdays are boring now without it. And good-bye gobs of reality TV! Now, if only MerDer work out...that would make my week even more. The Giants won last night (I call them the little team that could, lol), grey's could be back this season, and if MerDer work out, I would be ellllated. XD

I think and hope that the people behind Grey's Anatomy has something good up their sleeves, because saving season 4 is hard work. I feel a bit sorry for the season for not getting the chance to blow our minds like the previous three, it feels as though they need a quick fix. But, since our love for Grey's is pure and true, I would like to think that no matter what happens in the coming episodes, we'll all be longing for season 5 to begin.
Other than that, I'm very glad to hear they're coming back.

I am so thrilled! When I read the news yesterday it truly made my day! I also hope things get back on track for Mer/Der. I do think they will be apart for a while and that is ok as long as there is some indication that they are trying to work things out! And they get rid of ROSE!
