Patrick Dempsey on Romance, Grey's Anatomy, Movies
Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey plays a single guy looking to win over his bridal best friend in Made of Honor, which hits theaters May 2.
"I love romance, absolutely," the self-confessed serial monogamist tells Mary. But the Grey's Anatomy leading man, who has been married for eight years, admits that the marriage proposal to his wife, Jillian Dempsey, was done "poorly."
"We just bought this house and we were in the middle of remodeling it and the kitchen was a mess," the man we love as McDreamy told Entertainment Tonight.
"I kept giving her this line where I had to find the right ring. I finally found it while she was gone and I couldn't wait ... so I popped the question in the kitchen."
In Made of Honor, Patrick Dempsey plays a serial dater who decides he wants to settle down just as his best platonic friend, played by Michelle Monaghan, decides to tie the knot. Patrick's character then accepts her invitation to be her "maid" of honor as part of his master plan to woo her for himself.
Dempsey also talked about his three children, and how he is excited to go back to work on the 4-5 new episodes of Grey's Anatomy to air this spring. He's been in touch with Ellen Pompeo a few times since production shut down late last year.

Here is the interview with Patrick. I loved that he and Ellen have been in touch with each other since the break. And I must say how good Patrick looks in this video. Happy, rested and ready to get back to work and the hair........on my! (ha)

i want to see this movie. i wanted to see 27 dresses but decided to wait till it was cheaper. Since in my town it cost 11 bucks each person to see a movie. Erhh. But totally excited to see the new grey's anatomy too. I will be even happier to not see rose anymore! :)

The only thing that would make me excited is if Shonda came to her senses and put Gizzie back together. Ellen and Patrick's friendship is my second favorite after TR and Katie. Katie is in paris promoting her movie and she brought her mom and TR with her and they went shopping together, so cute! Cutest bff ever!

I am really excited about this movie Maid of Honor. I saw the trailer for it and it looks really good and funny. It's great to see him play a man that is soo the opposite of the mcdreamy.

oooh! I saw this trailer in a movie the other day, and I vow to see this movie, and hopefully I can at midnight, since I am a huge McDreamy/Patrick Dempsey fan. Maid of Honor seems hilarious and it overall looks good. ^^
