TV Guide on Future of Sandra Oh, Joshua Jackson
TV Guide's Michael Ausiello has some scoop on Joshua Jackson's future guest spot on Grey's Anatomy - as well as a rumor that a cast member wants out:
Question: Some very mean and nasty people have been saying that Sandra Oh is leaving Grey's Anatomy, whenever it comes back. Since you are known as the god of TV scoop, I knew you'd be able to deny this for me.
TV Guide: Unfortunately, I can't verify that rumor's authenticity. What I can verify is that someone â" and a major someone â" wants to be discharged from Seattle Grace, STAT. But, as far as I can tell, that someone is not Sandra Oh.
Thankfully, it looks like the awesome Sandra Oh will be staying put.
Question: You mentioned that Joshua Jackson's three-episode Grey's Anatomy arc was delayed indefinitely because of the writers' strike. However, there's a new Grey's Anatomy airing this Thursday. Will he be in that episode?
TV Guide No, hence the "delayed indefinitely" thing. The good news is that I hear Shonda Rhimes has every intention of shoe-horning Joshua Jackson into Seattle Grace (and Cristina's bed) the second the strike is over.

My bets are either Heigel or Dempsey. They're the two cast members who are making huge movie careers now and the two actors who have complained about their character's storyline

nahhh, my bet is on Heigel. not only is her movie career taking off but she has also voiced that she doesn't like where her character is going in the series. bu who knows, we could all be wrong! I sure hope so...Heigel is great on the show.

Oh no! I hope nobody leaves. If Dempsey leaves, then no more MerDer, which would really make me sad. If it is Heigl, I would miss all the comedy, since can make a scene absolutely hilarious. If Oh is gone, I would really miss the chemistry between her and Ellen Pompeo. That is awesome, I must say.

it definitely won't be PD. He has said in lots of interviews that he'd stay till the end because if it weren't for Grey's he wouldn't have the opportunities he's getting now. I hate him right now though and i wish he would leave! And yeah i know PD is not Derek.

i agree with claire. i really dont think dempsey would leave and i have read many interviews with him where he says he isnt leaving. i really hope he doesnt leave, it wouldnt be grey's without him. =) i think it might be heigl. but, even though izzie is bothering me lately, i really hope she doesnt go. i just dont want anyone to go. maybe callie ar mark. they arent that important. NO WAIT. i want hahn to go. i really dislike her.

My first instinct was Katherine Heigl. Though Izzie is annoying, she is my favorite character so I would hope she stays where she is. Best guess is Callie. She is losing purpose of being here. But if anyone goes I might stop watching! I love everybody right where they are!

i'm tired of this stupid goddamn strike. can't they just settle on something and get it over with god. i'm tired of not being able to watch grey's or brothers and sisters, desperate housewives, ugly betty, and prison break, all of those amazing shows every week. it sucks. and i know the writers deserve what they're asking for and all, but this has gone on long enough.

I don't think it would be PD either. I have also heard him say that because of GA is the reason for his present success and as long as there was a Grey's he would be there! My first thought was also KH. She has her own studio now and is making movies. I would hate to see any of the characters leave. I hope there is no truth to that rumor.

It's gotta be Heigel. I don't think that they would get rid of Pat. Kathrine has huge movie deal right now, and just got married. And, like Kathy, I hope nobody is leaving. This cast has fallen appart over these past few seasons, and we can't lose another leading player!

My first thought was that OMG it can not serously be Dempsey. I have read in some of his interviews howlast season was so boring to do and he does want to see what else i out there. At the same time, I remember all the interviews of if their is a Greys I am there. I do not think he would hurt himself with the fans by breaking his 6 year contract. I dont think he will come back when his contract is over, but I sure hope so bc I love getting my weekly dose of McDreamy. I think it may be Callie. She got burned as Chief Resident and her marriage flopped....really nothing left for her. I hate to see anyone go but please not any of the original cast!!!!

I really don't like Katherine Heigl, and would be more than glad if she left. I think she is a terrible actress, and she just annoys me.

If sandra Oh or Chandra Wilson quit I will no longer watch the show as for K. H. please show her the door and I wish someone would tell her to keep her mouth shut who is she to comment on anything (i.e. brittney spears) she needs to take a step back and be careful
but anyway I hope that my favorite people stay at least for a while

wow. i dont think PD or KH is leaving. i think its Sara Ramirez. she probably wont want to see george and izzie everyday and she lost her chief resident job, plus besides cristina, i dont think anyone really likes her there.

I hope it's Heigl. She's annoying and her character is adding zip to the show. I hope by "next season" they bring in another neonatal surgeon, I loved all the baby plot lines!

I don't want anyone to leave. But Patrick Dempsey have said earlier that he wants to retire from the industry and spend the time with his wife and children. But I hope it's not him. I think it could be Katherine Heigl and if someone is leaving I hope it's her. I really don't like her character.

My money is on Katherine Heigl. I enjoy her character but she's seems to me the one and only actor on the show that would get a big head[she's has even admited to being a diva sometimes in the new feburary issue of cosmopolitain]. But she does have a promising future as a movie star so I say if she is the one then she should go for it.
