Follow this link for the full Cosmopolitan interview. But for now, here are a couple of quotes / excerpts regarding the people in Katherine Heigl’s life…

On her husband, singer, Josh Kelley (their wedding was December 23): “[He] came into my life and I realized, Oh my God, you’re someone I can really trust and go to when things are hard. To have that in a partner is huge.”

On having her diva moments: “That’s not to say there aren’t moments when I’m a diva. Everybody has bad moments … There are people in my life who keep me grounded, so I couldn’t behave that badly, even if I wanted to.”

Another reason why I don’t buy this magazine
I AM SICK AND TIRED OF SEEING THIS PERSON!
She is just as bad as Brittney I see her too much

Awesome another magazine to get. I love Heigl, and I can’t wait to see 27 Dresses this weekend. Due to the strike there isn’t much going on on tv, so I’m welcoming new interviews in magazines and watching new movies with opening arms.

i agree with Jacqueline. this is the woman who complained about how women are seen in our sociaty, posing on cosmopolitan!

Ah, one thing the net is dependent upon the misquoting of peeps who can’t comprend quotes lol. Ah, things never change. Actually, Heigl said that in regards to the Knocked Up’s movie, and she was right. She didn’t say in her whole society. Regardless, she is entitled to her opinion. I mean Patrick and etc say crap all the time, and they aren’t blasted for it.

even if she was talking about the film, my point is u can’t pretend to be over-emotional about women’s right and then agree ro star in a movie that u believe clearly offends them, or pose with your underwear(not in cosmopolitan)
anyway of course she is entitled to her opinion, and so do i

I agree with Joy…how was it said about Katherine Heigl…I’m quoting…”bi%#hing and complaining yet comfortable selling out her principle for a hit movie…it taints your experience watching (movie or tv) that she is involved in…”.

I don’t see the draw that is Katherine Heigl. She is a hypocrite. She should just say, I’m in it for the money. She shouldn’t pretend that she is intelligent and really means the hot hair that escapes whenever she opens her mouth.

So overexposed I stopped watching greys anatomy because of her an george.

I for one find it refreshing that she is vocal and doesn’t bullshit anyone. As for her comments regarding Knocked up being sexist, she said that the females charaters in the movie came of as bitches while the male characters were lovable and goofy. As I watch the movie again, she does have a point. She didn’t go Gloria Steinem on anyone and call Judd Apatow a chauvanist pig. I don’t think she was being ungrateful, she even said she loved the experience of working on the movie. I think people are jealous of her, and that is my opinion. Congrats to KH.

read the article at work and thought that it was okay. It sort of sounded like a previous interview she had given Cosmo last year.

Either way, her movie looks good but I’m going to wait to see how well it does at the box office and I’m going to wait until I read some reviews too.

just so everyone knows…in my opinion katherine heigl is the best actress in the entire universe+++++!!! GO KATHERINE YOU ROCK!!!!

I think we place WAY to much emphasis on what celebrities say. Did we forget they are human too, and allowed to make their own decisions? No one would like someone judging EVERY word you say and move you make the way we do with celebrities…like Katherine. Back off people. Everyone is way too judgmental. Speak on experience, not judgment.

from where i stand, precisely because celebrities seem to affect so many people and (wrongfullly) become role-models for young people, they should be a bit more carefull than the rest of us in what they say.
as 4 heigl i think she needs to learn when to stop talking

  15. Comment by Esther @ January 17, 2008, 12:48 pm

Comment by Carol…totally agree. KH should take the advise that she so publicly gave Isaiah Washington one year ago this month…she should just stop talking in public. People call her fearless in Hollywood and opinionated but it just comes off as arrogant. Something is not right when she has to be mouthy in one magazine and have to apologize for the same comment on another one. No one comes from a position of “jealousy” as someone put it earlier…she is putting herself out there with every misguided opinion and bad comments she makes ready for anyone who can read or listen to form an judgement or opinion of her. You can of course do one of two things…go see her movie or when she is obnoxious avoid it all together. Does that even make her bankable. If I was a money person, that would make me scared to invest in any of her movies. And all these industry types who said her movie made money…I hate to tell everyone but it didn’t do as well as the hype did.

i agree Esther. i think that she saw defending TR last year (which she did because they’re best friends and that’s ok, but it’s not like she is the “peacemaker” or anything) was concindered a nice move, and she took advantage of that, “speaking out” all too often just to show that she is clever and fearless, and get attention, like she has some kind of insecurity to cover

  17. Comment by nan-evy @ January 18, 2008, 12:39 am

Yes, Katherine is a talented actress, but she is everywhere all the time. It’s too much…..

  18. Comment by kikikins @ January 19, 2008, 8:07 am

i love the character Izzie, not the actress. Katherine Heigli is a bit too affected for me, like she’s trying to be opinionated just to get attention. then again, there’s no denying she’s great at acting. i just think that she sometimes lets fame get into her head.

    just my two cents.

  19. Comment by Sam123 @ January 19, 2008, 8:56 am

I think she’s a great actress, but yeah, I’m getting a little tired of seeing her. She’s got how many movies going now? and a new husband? I’m happy for her, but a little too famous for me.

  20. Comment by dalia @ January 19, 2008, 9:09 am

i think it’s obvious that she tries to get attention with all she says and that’s actually ok, but don’t underestimating me by trying to convince me she only cares about expressing her opinion, set things straight, defend the right or whatever

SAVE MERDER AND GIZZIE!!!!!!!! the two best couples on the show!!!!! She looks gorgeous!!!i bought this issue of cosmo the day it came out!!! love u katie!!!!!

  22. Comment by mer/derlover19 @ January 20, 2008, 12:06 pm

okay i must totally disagree with kikikins and her statement! katherine heigl is a great actress and you can see that as she gets out into the world of the big screen!! i’m guessing that you haven’t seen 27 dresses of knocked up as she has GREAT performances in both!!! i don’t mean to sound rude and i hope you don’t find my comment offensive to you, that is not my intention at all. anyway, i just saw 27 dresses yesterday and couldn’t believe how good it was!!!!!!!!!!! :) kudos to katherine heigl and james marsden for their amazing performances!!

    Grey’s Rules!!! SERIOUSLY!!!!!!! :)

  23. Comment by claudiamlbm @ January 23, 2008, 8:48 pm

I’m so sick of everyone being so judmental about KH! I mean, of course she’s everywhere, thats to be expected, because not only she’s on greys anatomy but made two movies in a short period of time and got married recently. Not to mention the problems regarding Isaiah last year. But what is wrong with that?I dont see any problem, its normal that an actor/actress appears a lot when they have so many things going on.
As for the comment she made on Knocked Up, I think “wicked” got it right, her opinion is that the female characters were seen as bitches and that was something she didnt agree, just it.Are you going to tell me that actors usually totaly agree with every single movie they make?
