Actor Justin Chambers, who plays Dr. Alex Karev on Grey's Anatomy, checked himself in to the psych ward at UCLA Medical Center this week.
A rep for Chambers, who has five children with wife Keisha, said he was "exhausted and suffers from a sleeping disorder" and "went in voluntarily to get help."
Justin Chambers' character remains one of Grey's Anatomy's best.
Interestingly, Chambers was in the same ward where Britney Spears is currently being treated for bipolar disorder, having been admitted early this morning.
Justin checked in Monday and left yesterday. Here's hoping he got the help he needs and is feeling better! We need him for those Izzie-Alex scenes...

that picture might just be a fluke, like when there's an article about britney being crazy and they show a picture of her with messy hair and her mouth wide open, but either way he looks really tired in that picture so maybe it's a good thing he went to get help.

That's a picture of him from the Season One Now On DVD thing. I still think that it's a good thing he went to get help.

well heres my opinion. i think that if this article is really true, that its a good thing that justin went to get some help and i really hope that everything turns out well for him!

Imagine how exhausted he must be! Constant stress, constant media attention. I hope he gets the help he needs, he seems like a great guy

I went to high school with Justin Chambers. Actually we were pretty good friends. went to prom together with two female dates. His parents live around the corner from me here in Springfield ohio. Hopefully when he comes back in town for a visit he will have the time to hang out.

For those of you interested, Justin chambers is a pretty cool guy. I remember times we went to his grandmothers house and she would cook for us. we were there eating but we were supposed to be at football practice for the second half of two a days. We thought it was too hot to go to the afternoon practice so we decided his grandmothers air conditioning was a better choice. Of course i got some bad feedback from our coach the next day and I had to apologise to get back on the team. justin decided football wasnt for him and he didnt continue. He was always interested in hollywood, magaizines, fashion, music. He had a marilyn monroe collection in his bedroom of alot of different memorabilia. Sort of tells you a bit of his way of being different. Anyways I still consider him a good friend and i wish him all the success in the world

No offense, I adore Justin and think he is needed on Grey, I wish him the best of recovery but God Alex and Izzie make me want to puke more than any couple on the planet, so no, we do not need those Alex and Izzie scenes. And considering on a recent BuddyTV couple showdown, george and Izzie finished first and Alex and Izzie finished last een behind George and Meredith, a lot of people do not need Alex and Izzie scenes

Oh I really hope Justin gets better, he looks so tired, poor sweetie. But I want Alex with Ava, he and Izzie are terrible, and how many times do we have to tell you Izzie belongs with George not Alex? If Alex and Izzie get back together, am done with this show.

Yes same here I adore Justin and Alex but hate hate hate Alex and Izzie, George and Izzie all the way and I love Alex with Lexie, he and Ava are terrible too, not as much as Alex and Izzie, but still terrible.

Justin looked sick on both Oprah and this, and that has me a bit worried. He needs to rest, five kids will do this to you.
And I do not mean to be rude, but I do not want any Alex and Izzie scenes, I hate them together, no chemistry at all. George and Izzie are the couple I root for.
