Are Alex-Izzie, George-Callie Reunions in Store?
Drs. Karev and Stevens heated up Grey’s Anatomy in Season 2, but as we know, it didn’t work out. Since then, they’ve become good friends… but is that it?
At the SAG Awards Monday night, Justin Chambers (Alex) weighed in on a possible Alex-Izzie reunion on Grey’s Anatomy, while his Grey’s co-star, Sara Ramirez (Callie) hints that there still may be hope for Callie and George.

Yeah I agree, they messed around and now they are all screwed up!!! lol i thought the story was more believable in the first few seasons too, like I’d watch it and think omg that’s me or that’s my friend ya know, now it’s like yeah umm boring or predictable?? idk
i so totally agree! anyone who doupts that the writting has been screwed up (including the writers) should just watch 1 random episode from season 1 or 2 and then the episode that they consinder the best from season 3 or 4 and they’ll see what we r talking about! its almost like a different show. god i miss so much the 1st year interns, the friendship between george and izzie (so funny), the strong meredith, christina having storylines, derek being dreamy…
I TOTALLY agree with dalia. I always watch seasons one and two. There AMAZING. Everything is so depressing now. and nothing is funny anymore its just all sad. I miss mcdreammy soo much. Hes not so mcdreamy anymore. I miss it
I agree! I mean, seriously, McDreamy is being a jerk! Someone who asks some nurse out minutes after breaking up with “the love of his life” does not deserve the title “McDreamy”.
I don’t know about Callie and George, but Izzie and Alex should definitley be together!!!
and I also have to agree about the writing- our favorite show has been in a slump- hopefully the writers’ time away from work will due them some good.
i agree. all the characters have been destroyed. does anyone recognise these characters;
1. a woman who commits adultery, chases like crazy her married friend and then decides there’s no chemistry -not izzie
2. a man who cheats, deceives, lies, breaks up his marriage, only to end his affair due to bad timing??com’on! we could forgive him if all this was about his love of his life, but just give up..?
3. a dreamy man who makes out with a random woman, forgets to mention that to the woman he calls the love of his life and proposed to a few days ago, and then asks this random woman out minutes after his itentional breakup with the woman”for whom he’ll always come back for”
5. the main character who btw has undergone 2 near death experiences in like a year, who cannot make up her mind and stop whinning
6. 2 man-whores (alex and mark) who dont seem to grow up -btw i still expect an explanation about mark hitting on mer twice-isnt he suppose to be in SGH 4 derk?
7. 2 characters who just disappeared (callie/christina)
does anyone else remember, s.3ep.6, derek has left mer (”she’s always living him”?really?) and doesnt react to her breakup with fin. what does mer do? makes things easier 4 him, by proposing herself to him TO TAKE SOME TIME. she is ok with that. so, whatever
i want to see lexie and george. meredith with a paramedic that has been injured. hahn with mc steamy. callie has a nervous breakdown because of george and went to tend bar at there hangout. izzy and mcdreamy. yang can stay in operating room. chief gives bailey a promotion which makes them together all the time and they have a torrid affair.
if bailey doesnt have an affair i am going to quit watching.
i agree… season 2 was amazing.. the show really misses burke and addison u can really tell… season 2 was so good cause burke and cristina werent like really really a real couple yet.. the whole merder addison triangle… alex izzie and denny.. and george was just george and i liked it better when they were all interns together cause now the 5 of them are never all together and thats what i liked most about the show

I agree too! Season 2 was the best, then season 3, then 1 then 4. I kinda want to see Alex and Izzie together again, but I don’t know about George and Callie. The only time O’Callie had really great chemistry was when George’s dad was dying or dead. I also kinda want to see Lexie and George. Gizzie has absolutley no chemistry, and I think Lexie and George have so much in common, they’d be perfect.
Yeah I hope George and Izzie break up. I’m not a fan of Callie, but George and Izzie should stay best friends. And I think Alex should break up with Lexie and either go for Ava or Izzie
Hell yes George and Callie should get back together! Who even knows what the heck is going on with Izzie and him anyway. Besides, they both have the potentiol to make each other happy.
Alex and Izzie is old and gone. Alex and Ava should be together and we need someone new for Izzie.
george and izzie are okay…but i like them better as friends. alex and izzie is okay for an on-off thing, but it’s not good in the long run.
To add on to my last comment, I think Alex should go after Ava again, and dump Lexie.

I would definitely not like to see Alex/Izzie or George/Callie again. Maybe if the characters hadn’t been completely changed and they were what they were in Season 2. I actually think Alex is too good for Izzie right now and he is definitely way too nice to her considering everything she has done lately. And I seriously can’t believe Callie would really forgive and forget everything George has done to her. Plus I never really liked the George/Callie pairing. She’s a very strong character and when she’s around George she becomes this love sick puppy and it’s down right pathetic. I don’t understand why she has to lose her individuality because of a man. Why can’t she still be herself and love George?
I’d like to see Callie with a man that let’s her be exactly who she is and that praises and respects her for being hardcore. I’d like to see Alex with a woman that can help him put his past to rest and prove to him that he is a great man even if he refuses to admit to it. I’d also like for TPTB to stop calling Alex and Mark manwhores and give them an actual story or back story. That’s getting extremely annoying. And the wasting of great characters like Alex, Callie, Cristina, and Mark is getting so frustrating.

out of these 2 couples the only one i would like 2 c again is george + callie. i think that as much as alex + izzie would be a great couple 2 watch, i doubt that they will ever hook up again, esp. after denny AND the cyph. nurse incident! anyway i think that george + callie had some real chemistry and that if given another chance things could pan out well 4 them.

I can tolerate barely Callie and George but Alex and Izzie are the worst couple in TV history, they literally make me sick and if they happen again, I and many of my friends are quitting the show for good. They ruined the season 2 for me, I do not want this gross couple again.
Alex and Izzie is sex, nothing else and they do not even have chemistry. Izzie has all the chemistry with George and that is who she should be with. They have true love. I find it refreshing even the non-Gizzie fans know A and I are sex and would not make a good long-term couple. Except for a bunch of A and I fanatics, most people do not want those two together. I want Alex and Ava and especially George and Izzie.

But i’ve given up hope of having faith in them after the last four seasons because all i get for believing in them is Rose. Derek dumping Meredith for another woman. Again. Meredith giving Derek another Pick Me Speech and getting shot down. Again. So get invested in other couples all you want. You will be disappointed.
i agree. i dont even feel angy now. just disappointed and the feeling that i finally have to admit that the show i loved doesnt exist anymore. its ruined and thats irreversible
season 3 episode 1. does anybody remember this line “when i had a choice to make i chose wrong”. yeah, derek said that. his behavior is totally inconsistent with his words. meredith’s as well but i guess all i can ask is that people try to understand that ellis died, her father who just came back into her life slaps her and blames her for the death of the closest thing to a mother meredith ever had. not to mention she did almost die (twice). she had a rough year. her best friend was ditched at the altar and with those two, meredith said “we need this. we need you to get your happy ending”. WE not YOU. plus i agree with her…i would have serious trust issues with a man who was married and didn’t tell me.
I am fine with Alex and Izzie getting together, even though I am a hardcore George and Izzie shipper, because I like anyone with Izzie. But I despise George and Callie, they obviously weren’t meant to be! And I think both of them could do better.

Yeah i don’t think this show can be saved. It was a must see show. I think the damage is done. Even if Derek gets down on his knees and pledges his undying love to Meredith and dumps Rose. People are past caring now. The Writer’s Strike will help people get over it. Seriously what will drive people to watch Season Five. Derek and Rose. no thanks
i know, i dont want to be pessimistic but i think at some point between the last episodes of season 3 and all we’ve watced from season 4, the show moved to a point beyond saving. we’ve seen that happening too many times, a show that starts out as a big hit and then just falls apart, probably because the writers feel they have to shock us and use soap-opera’s techniques to keep their audience (near death experiences, the “other” woman etc), which has always proved wrong
I hate Alex and Izzie, if they get back together, I will have to shoot myself or puke my entire stomach out, they are gross and have no chemistry. george and Callie are ok I guess, but do not have much chemistry. George and Izzie have it all: great chemistry, great flirtatious scenes, romantic chemistry, sexual chemistry (that kiss was SO hot), friendship, comedic banter, an amazing emotional connection and true love (the way they bring each other such joy just being near each other makes me feel all warm and fuzy). So yes to Gizzie, no to g and C and A and I.
There was a point when the audience was willing to forgive. We watched Season Three even though it was tough. I couldn’t wait for season four. We waited and waited and waited. Now we’re done. They crossed a line and it’s too far gone now. Grey’s used to be original now it’s just plain stupid. I don’t care if Derek marries Rose and Meredith drinks herself into oblivion. I just don’t care. If you told me about Rose in the season premiere i would have cried. Now i just don’t bloomin care. And i think that’s the bottom line. Shonda and Co wants us to care about the Rose kiss and the dumping and the asking out. We don’t. We would have a year ago. This isn’t good TY.
I use to adore the whole show, but since the last end of season 3, I realized I was watching for one thing and one thing only: george and Izzie. With them over and the show revisiting the horrid couples of Alex and Izzie and George and Callie, I will be leaving the show without one look back. george and Izzie were the best thing this show ever done but they were too stupid to realize it.
A million times no to a reunion between both couples, I hate both of them, and George and Izzie are soulmates and belong together. Not sure how anyone cannot see that.

Ok maybe I’ve too much time on my hands but here’s a theory. I think Rose is Derek’s ‘near death experience’. He’ll come to realise that he cannot live happily without mer. Just like mer thought she’d be better of dead when she was in heaven or wherever and derek was the reason she came back. I think there’s a reason meredith never told derek this. Maybe i’m crazy.

I think that Izzie and Alex should try things out again. George and Lexie would be a cute couple but they may be better as close friends. I miss story lines with Callie and Christina. I wish that Derek and Meredith would have stayed together…she was almost there until she found out about Rose. I dunno. I agree with everyone saying that McDreamy has been a little less mcdreamy lately.
Hmm no I hate Alex and Izzie, not sure why anyone would want them together. They had a purely sexual relationship with Alex panting after Izzie who pretty much treated him like gum under ehr shows and only sued him when she needed him. They had no chemistry and just animalistic sex with Izzie telling him to shut up and do her. No tenderness there, just sex. George is the one who makes Izzie happy and light up, and he is her true love, so why would someone want a sexual relationship with no love or chemistry IMHO over a pure love and tender love story is beyond me.
As for George and Callie, it is the same thing, they ahd good sex and Callie panted after George who never quite loved ehr back.

this is my first post after having read your posts for a couple of months, and I feel urged to have my say now.
I think everybody here is thinking about the characters as if they were real persons with real motivations, thoughts and lives. that’s why so many people keep asking themselves questions like: how can derek do this or that to meredith after having declared her the love of his life, how come izzie sees no chemistry between her and george anymore even if she was willing to take any risk just a few episodes earlier, why are so many things happening that haven’t been obvious and - to the viewers – make no sense at all, because they do not represent normal, predictable and logical behaviour.
well, I think the answer is that it’s not real people we’re seeing. they’re created characters in a created show and this show – sorry to have to say that – seems to be motivated by no other things than greed, overreaching egos and megalomania.
the show’s creators, producers, writers have seemingly forgotten the reasons for their enormous success – comprehensible but yet surprising storylines, gripping plots, credible couple-chemistry. the writer’s strike shows that all it’s about is money. greed for money, not passion for storytelling.
what I see in season 4 is the desperate attempt to save what cannot be saved anymore. instead of inventing new storylines, shonda rhimes is sticking to her “I’m breaking up merder”-route, because that’s what always keep people watching, but now she’s not realizing that the regular viewers are bored to death by the continuous seesaw.
Okay, it is official i have changed my mind and after reading others comments, have realized that i would never want to c george and callie back together!!! anyway just thought i’d let u know! lol!

Alex and Izzie are just cute together!!! But I have to idmite that I loved watching them just flirt in season 2…they were just cute and they had chemistry!!! Izzie and george just make me want to throw up too! I love george, I love Izzie, but not as a couple.As friends yes! And I guess Callie and George are oky but i would like to see george and lexi.
yes, on the surface alex and izzie seemed like just sex but he was so tender with her after denny died & they have incredible chemistry. if they got together i think it would allow him to open up and show his softer side. george and izzie are great as friends, but have no sexual chemistry.
as for mer/der, it is so unrealistic that derek would defend meredith to mark, saying she has abandonment issues and then abandon her just when she was starting to make progress and looking like she was going to make a commitment. If she was the ‘love of his life’ he wouldn’t be able to treat her like that, kissing Rose behind her back and asking Rose out just after they broke up.
I think that George and Merideth should actually be a couple. Izzie and Alex shouldn’t happen, and George and Callie definetly shouldn’t happen.
I dont understand why they would put George and Callie together after what happened between them! They suck together. I actually liked the idea of Izzie/George…and not having chemistry??? what the hell is that about? They slept together before and enjoyed it! They had a hot kiss in the elevator! How does chemistry like that all of a sudden disapear? It didnt make any sense, but fine i made my peace with it…but now they are talking about putting george back with callie?? that will ruin the show! He never loved her thats why he cheated! (Izzie/Alex)- Maybe, but if they are thinking about putting them back together…let it last longer than a week…lol..izzie doesnt have luck with relationships…she gets together with alex in season 2 for about a week, then he cheats on her..she gets engaged and her fiance dies! she finally gets George and they have no chemistry? What the hell…Give Izzie a brake……Lets give her a relationship that has a chance on working..I love Katherine Heigl….

Can someone please tell me what happened in the last 5 minutes in the show 5/8. I saw Mer talking to her therapist and my DVR stopped recording there.

I don’t think the show has gotten that bad. Pretty bad, but not bad enough for me to stop watching. The writer’s just think that they need to “spice things up”, so to speak. But honestly I just think that ALL of the characters need HEALTHY and somewhat NORMAL relationships. To answer Lisa’s question in the last five minutes, Mer is talking to her therapist and says that although the patient didn’t get to tell his boyfriend that he loved him before he died, she thought he was being heroic. Her therapist tells her that Meredith is, in essence, that patient. Derek is with Rose and because of that she is “dying alone”, and that the reason Derek isn’t with her is because she’s afraid. Meredith says “Are you calling me a coward?” and the therapist responds “What do you think?”. Meredith leaves the room and that is the end of the episode. Alright time for my opinions…
LexZie - hmmmm if izzie hadn’t slept with George and Rebecca wasn’t being such a bitch and LYING TO HIM about being pregnant, than I would say they might have a chance of reuniting EVENTUALLY. But as of right now, ehhhhh I don’t think so.
O’Callie - Hell to the NO. I love George and everything but Callie was just too good for him, and not just because she’s uber rich. She tried too hard and cared too much. They better not get back together grrrr.
Gizzie - I’m not really sure why they don’t have chemistry anymore? But, Izzie knew what she was doing was wrong and did it anyway, THAT immediately disqualifies this couple in my eyes. They’re best as BFF’s
Alex/Ava/Rebecca - Ok, Seriously? The fact that he couldn’t give her a reason to stay back when she asked him to should have been a sign. He was a bigger person for it, I think, but if he really had to hesitate at all, then why is he messing around with her at all. And now she’s lying to him about being pregnant???? EW. This whole relationship is based on lies on her part and therefore Alex for once deserves better.
Christina - I miss her!!!! She used to be hilarious! Now stupid effing Burke left her for a nothing-ness. I want my Christina yang back=[
Lexie - I see more and more of Meredith in her everytime I see her. I kinda feel bad for her, she tries too hard to make people like her. She needs to relax more, and not let Christina push her around. I actually like Lexie now.
Derek/Rose - I HOPE ROSE GETS KILLED OFF THE SHOW! She’s probably a great character, but the fact that she took Derek away from Meredith KILLS me.
Meredith - Yes, she does need to stop whining, but I wouldn’t put all the blame on her. It takes two to make a relationship work and it takes two to make their relationship fail. I get that she’s not ready, and I can see why she doesn’t trust him completely, but he kissed Rose WHEN THEY WERE SEEING OTHER PEOPLE. He shouldn’t have done it period, but the seeing other people thing IS the point. Grr to her for that. And as far as Lexie goes, mer should at least try a little. I get why she doesn’t want to try, but lexie is NOT Thatcher. And Mer could really use a sister right about now.
Derek - McAsshole. Enough said. First he says “I’ll wait for you.”, then he says “What if I find someone who’s ready to give me what I want from you?” Then he says ” I slept with her (Rose) and the whole time I was thinking of Meredith.” Like I said, it takes two. He was being an asshole, and even if he doesn’t like it, he needs to let Meredith see that she CAN trust him and that she is ready to make that next step.
MerDer - okay. Here’s the big one. I love this couple, with all my heart. And if the look on his face when he begged Mer to ask him to stay. If his statement about sleeping with Rose. And if her obvious heartbreak doesn’t just say it all, then I quit. Yes, they had their fair share of problems, even extremely STUPID UNNECESSARY problems, and now they deserve to be happy. I don’t think she should just rush back into his arms after the Rose thing, and he shouldn’t expect her to just be ready for marriage now that he’s done with Rose. I think these two deserve a REAL relationship. A Fresh start, 100% open-ness, and seriously, NO SEX. Like i said, they need a real relationship. I completely lost my train of thought, so I guess this is where I end my ramble. yay.
