I dont like Rose!!! I dont want Derek to be paired with someone like her, she's not even a close match to meredith and addison. If they're going to match Derek with anybody aside from meredith, they should choose a better looking gal!

I'm starting to get sick of Derek. He doesn't deserve to be with Meredith. I hope Meredith finds a new boyfriend. She deserves to be happy. Maybe then Derek will see what he's lost.

to the writers: Get over yourselves already! you have managed to kill merder for us! and i know you beleive that our angry mails equal that we are passionate about the show and therefore we'll keep watching but i'm sure everyone can assure you that is not at all the case

This whole thing is getting on my nerves!!! Why can't Derek and Meredith be together????? I used to love this show but now I'm not even sure if I keep watching it. It's really sad.

Rose is only supposed to be in Grey's Anatomy for a few episodes and I don't think they'll make her a series regular. Don't worry! Meredith and Derek will end up together. Eventually.

lily, Kristin (E!) said the opposite. Anyway regulars or not, Derek chooses another woman over Meredith again. People can't believe in them again.

as far as the new Rose character is concerned it seems to me that the writers are trying to recreate the emotion we all felt when Addison was first brought in because everyone wanted Derek to choose Meredith etc -
it worked first time round because we thought meredith and derek were meant to be together but i think we now don't care now because of the mess they made during season 3 with derek and meredith.
If Derek was as truely madly deeply in love with her as we are meant to believe then they shouldn't have broken up at the end of S03, I'm sure the scriptwriters wanted us to feel that it was Meredirths choice to breakup but from a female perspective (and lets face it the vast majority of us viewers are female) it was absolutely Derek that gave up on her and left her with no real choice.
I will never look at derek the same as he is now no longer the perfect man for her he has shown he won't be there for her no matter what and so now I, like so many others, really just don't care.
p.s ( i know I've gone on long enough but just wanted to add - this is not irrepairable damage but they have to the messing around with the two of them now so that us loyal fans don't stop caring forever!!!)

you're gonna stop watching grey's if meredith and derek break up? seriously. they are trying to make a show here, and that is why stuff must happenend. they can't just live happily ever after, because if doesn't make good entertainment!
if people that were Bang, Addek, Addex or Maddison fans would do the same thing, there wouldn't be anyone watching. besides, every knows that meredith and derek belonges together. so what if they spend like two episodes apart? they're gonna get back together anyway.
and if shonda would do what you requested and merder would never have any problems, wouldn't that be boring after a while? maby not when you think about it now, but after a while.. seriously, they're only trying to make good television. this plan about not watching Grey's if they break up is stupit.

I've read some spoilers that says that Derek being with Rose, just make Meredith realise she loves Derek. She will be ready for a real relationship, and that she really needs(and wants) Derek in her life.-)
let's HOPE this is true. Meanwhile I think it's good for them both to try dating others...there's alot of damage in their relationship!!!
PLEASE understand, I'm not saying I like Rose or anything, but if the spoilers are right, Rose is the best thing that even happened to them:P
I AM a HUGE fan of MerDer so don't get me wrong; I'm all for the Merder thing:-)
Let's hope the strike ends soon, so we can see where this ends....

okay listen. you guys are so determent on hating Rose, but you don't even know her. at first, everyone hated Addison. Now she's one of the favorites. except MerDer of course. I am so sick of those to. They should take some freaking time apart and see if they could have some fun with other people. I feel like every episode is deticated to Meredith and Derek and their problems. you know, it's getting old. I'd like to see how the whole rose/derek thing would work out. And Meredith, she could totally hit it off with McSteamy. But I'm probably the only one who thinks this, huh? because there were a lot of spoilers, but the only thing that is discussed here, is the fact that Derek MIGHT like Rose a little bit.
there are other people on Grey's to, you know? you really think that shonda doesn't have it all planned for the fourth season (in her head of course, not on paper because of the writers strike).
we're all getting SO angry because that evil shonda want to break them up. We haven't even seen the episode. this, my friend, is spoilers. there was also spoilers about someone beeing a lesbian, but that didn't happened did it? (not yet anyway) what I'm saying is, don't jump to conclusions, and don't stop watching a show just because ONE couple is breaking up, or taking a break or whatever. Ross and Rachel broke up several times, but they ended up together didn't they?

so, rose was only suppose to be on four episodes... isnt this going to be her fourth episode?? if it is, thats a very good sign. =)
and also, im not going to stop watching the show. i mean sure i would most definitely like it much better if derek and meredith were together, but thats not the only reason why i watch the shows. i agree with GAfan24, these are just spoilers.

Ok, the reason why we get so angry is not because we want Merder to only be happy, never have problems etc. It's because the writers seem, as suzie rightfully pointed out, try to manipulate us using a past succesful storyline. Merder keeps breaking up with no apparent reason, and all we're saying is resolve this. Break them up for good or keep them together-and give them problems. But this on and off is tiring and makes no sense anymore.
If the writers ara so determined to keep this on and off, at least support it with more meaningfull storylines.

Before I write this let me say that I am die hard MerDer fan, want more than anything for them to be together, pretend to like your taste in music want them to be together! Although, I've been thinking about this more and I can understand Derek's frustration. This is the man who stood in the locker room and told her "don't you understand, you're the love of my life". Then he tells her "I want to marry you, I want kids with you, I want a lifetime, etc..." And Meredith still can't move any closer to commiting to him even when she says, "she kicked the most perfect man out of her bed last night"
I can't stand Rose - there's no chemistry and she's annoying as a character. And I so wish that MerDer would get things worked out quickly. Mer just needs to trust him. I'm really trying to believe they'll be together in the end and I hope that doesn't mean 4 seasons from now. I think the fans want to enjoy watching their relationship grow not just knowing they ultimately work it out.

Facial- I totally agree with you! I wish they would get rid of Rose! Mer/Der make the show great! They have perfect chemistry and when the're together I feel like people can actually have a chance to get the man/girl they deserve! Rose just ruins my happiness!

Marissa i totally agree!!! That's exactly the point! Of course there should be probrems and twists and unexpected events but they should be meaningful as they used to in Grey's. This on and off is just too "the bold and the beautiful"

Bang, Addek, Addex or Maddison AREN'T MerDer. Shonda dragged them for FOUR SEASONS. They aren't boring. They NEVER had a chance for to be a couple. She wrote for them only crappy storylines and triangles.
Many Bang, Addek, Addex or Maddison fans left the show. Only MerDer fans are loyal but I don't know if they will be loyal if Derek will choose another woman again.
Rose is a stupid character. She ins't unnecessary for the show. She annoying me a lot.
