More Grey's Anatomy Spoilers For New Episode

Thanks to the WGA strike, we have run out of episodes of all our favorite shows, Grey's Anatomy among them. Grey's Anatomy only has one new episode (episode 11) left, which as we've talked about at length, will air on January 10.

When we last left the staff of Seattle Grace, Lexie Grey was unable to save Nick (Seth Green), a patient who she had just started to make a connection with. Miranda Bailey's husband got sick of waiting for her to make time for him and their son.

Derek kissed Rose, and Meredith told him that she doesn't want him seeing anyone else, unaware of what has happened with Rose of course. Alex and Ava hooked up - after he got suspended for sneaking her into his surgery (and told her about Lexie) After work, Meredith, Lexie and Cristina bonded, dancing away their worries.

Alex and Ava

Many of you have likely already heard or read some of the spoilers coming our way for episode 11. But we've uncovered a little more information about the potential season finale. Follow the jump for what we know about what happens next ...

In episode 11, entitled "Lay Your Hands On Me," Bailey is floored when her son, little Tucker, Jr., is rushed to the emergency room at Seattle Grace.

Debra Monk returns as Louise O'Malley, George's mom, and shocks both Izzie and Callie by the end. A faith healer who refuses surgery causes Dr. Hahn and Alex to question their beliefs in traditional medicine. Derek will have to man up and face Meredith and Rose, both of whom want to have a relationship with him.

TV Guide's Michael Ausiello has more dirt on the upcoming Grey's Anatomy episode. Derek goes to Meredith saying that he wants to build them a house.

When Meredith Grey isn't ready to take that step (or any major step with him, for that matter), Derek decides to give his relationship with Rose a try. The return of George's mom will result in one of several cliffhangers on the show, as well.

A source close to the show reports to TV Guide that the developments are major: "they're pretty big bombshells. Basically, everyone's future is left up in the air."

The show will also change things up a bit when Bailey narrates the episode instead of Meredith. TV Guide says nothing will happen to Dr. Bailey physically, but as far as her emotions go, the Chief Resident is going to go through some hard times.

With what potentially happens to little Tucker, that certainly sounds like a big understatement. Finally, it looks as if we will find out more about where Alex Karev (pictured above, with Ava) is taking his own romantic life.

We'll have to wait and see what happens, but this should give us some good discussion material for now, at least. What do you think about all this?

  2. Magali Tremblay Says:

I just want to say how great his this show.
thanks for the emotions that you gave to us, fans of grey's.
It's look like a great and amazing episode that we gone see in january 10th.
I just can't wait to see MerDer becoming finally a real couple. Please leave them another chance to proove us that love as complicate as it can be , can be also possilbe. That love can be more stonger then the life by herself.
I realy hope the strike get a great end soon for the writers and for all the crew so we can get all the epiosdes intil the end of the season.
Please take this workbreak to think a little bit more about all the caracters and try to find a great finale .
Thanks and long life to grey's
    Magali

  3. Claire Says:

Derek and "McPlotDevice" has gone over with both laughter at the contrived badly written plot line of it all, and a over all feeling of apathy. Do you think Shonda Rhimes cares? No, I seriously doubt it. The creator and writers who have over bloated this cast to the point of not seeing any in depth story lines from some of the major characters on this show insists on adding more unneeded (and in this case) rating ploy characters rather just focus on the large cast they have already. And Rhimes is stubborn. The more she's told it doesn't work, the more she seems to want to drive it in to the ground. This is the reason that the reruns are averaging 5-6 million viewers and ABC who used to rely on Grey's reruns in the past, will now put LOST in for new episodes rather than remind fans of how badly this show has failed us again 11 episodes in. Wish Grey's would lose "McPlotDevice" The addition of her makes Derek's character look worse and worse weekly (and Rhimes cannot make podcast excuses for his behavior now...must be hard) and work on the characters she has. If Mer/Der are not fixed almost immediately when the show returns, I'm almost certain that the apathy will carry. No longer water cooler talk, this show can scarcely afford the gimmicks anymore and needs to get back to the quality that made us love the show to begin with. The real question is, will Shonda Rhimes & Company lose their massive ego's and finally commit to the show they once cared so much for? I'm not feeling so secure on this one. I think leaving the characters relationships back up in the air and primarily unhappy smacks of last seasons ending and can hardly bode well for carrying the excitement for this show potentially nine months when it may start back up again. It's just a repeat of last season and fans largely disliked that. Wondering if they will ever get a clue what they are doing to this once wonderful show.

OK. what the heck! derek is making me angry!! he. needs. to. be. with. meredith. argh, stupid rose!!! argharghargh. i. hate. rose. why cant they give derek and meredith a chance. they were happy for like 5 episodes in the 3rd season. argharghargh. ARGH. DEREK AND MEREDITH BELONG TOGERTHER. TO-GE- THER! i hate rose and hope she dies a long and painful death.

  5. ausfan Says:

I agree that a cliff hanger for many of the characters would be unfortunate at this time, so soon after the last season finale.
In particular a cliff hanger for Derek and Meredith, coupled with a long passage of time until episodes resume, wont help ratings nor maintain interest in them.
Let's hope Derek and Meredith are allowed to move forward.

  6. Facial Says:

    Grey's Fans,

I personally think that we should start a petition that if Meredith and Derek break up, we should stop watching the show. Reply with your opinion!!

    Thanks!!

PS- ROSE REALLY HAS TO GO!!

  7. Krissi Says:

    Facial- I TOTALLY AGREE!
    go girlfriend! =)

  8. Rita Says:

    Facial,

WHERE'S YOUR PETITION! I will totally be there for ya'll! YOU HAVE MY SIGNATURE!

  9. sportsgurl2389 Says:

Gosh i know I'm so sick of this constant chase with Meredith and Derek. Its pissing me off. Its like one moment she wants derek not to see other people, but then she turns down the house and starting a relationship. It makes me so mad, that if its going to be like this, its just going to be even more predictable that Meredith wants Derek but is afraid of moving forward. Okay so my point is its getting old, and boring they just need to be together already!!!!!!! Or is it just me?

  10. SCGreysFan Says:

This is depressing & annoying, seriously! I agree with everyone's comments that it's just getting boring and it would be so nice to just allow MerDer to have a real relationship and work things out together instead of apart. It's going to be very tough to sit with this as the last of Grey's for months & months. Rose & Derek have absolutely no chemistry and no connection.

  11. iloveEllenPompeo Says:

    facial,

    LETS DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IM IN

  12. greys3111 Says:

Derek is going on my nerves. i can't stand him anymore. Enough of merder drama. other characters and stories are much more interesting.

  13. katherine Says:

I agree with Claire, ausfan and facial! Get with it or it is going to be over for Grey's Anatomy and we really want it to have a plot line to follow and make it a top show again. Get rid of Rose - there was no reason to add another character to this show - concentrate on the ones that you have! They are the ones who got it going in the first place - stay with what works - Rose and Ava need to GO!

  14. rose Says:

Claire I agree 100% with your comment, as well as your last post I read on the homepage. Grey's has just about lost me this season. Apathy is the absolute correct word. I used to be angry at what they have done to this show, now I just don't care anymore. I still adore the old season 1 & 2 Grey's. But if episode 11 ends as miserably as season 3 finale did, I for one will not be back if and when there is a season 5.

  15. sportsgurl2389 Says:

Lets go Facial, im in too. you should make a subject in the forums and see who all agrees and you know go from there. :D

  16. addie Says:

I agree too, Facial. Meredith needs Derek and if he is with Rose, i will totally stop watching. rose just kinda popped outta nowhere randomly, and kissed Derek. I think that this season sucked so far and i miss the previous ones.

  17. Nick Says:

I agree that Rose has to go, she has no business on the show, but c'mon... Meredith really needs to give her head a shake.

  18. Mary Says:

Guys, I totally agree with you. I love the Mer-Der relationship, want to jump on McDreamy myself, live every moment they are together, etc. But this whole thing has just gone too far. Do I like Rose? Not really. But it's gotten to be too much to watch these two dance around eachother for what, 3 and a half seasons? I'm sorry, but after the wife/ex-wife left, Mommy Grey died and Mer decided not to drown, I don't see why the can't make this work. I agree that they have chemistry, that Mer is complicated and I WANT to see them together, but I'm tired of waiting. Let's just move on from it and start focusing more on the other characters...like Bailey and her new storyline or the Lexie-Alex-Eva love triangle. This is all new and differant; it has the potential to go places. As much as I hate to admit it, the Mer-Der romance has been literally been driven over and then backed up on.

  19. Annette Says:

I would like to see Mer propose to Der in the next episode. She doesn't want him to date other people and that will be the only way Der will commit to her. No more games. Der is using Rose to get to Mer.

  20. greygirl Says:

i thought it was just me, i am really tired or the Mer Derek bull, the need to put the together already and let them be happy, then they will see the ratings go up, right now the show is boring and they are dissapointing the fans. GA used to be a break room discussin on Thursdays and friday for my team of about 23 now only 2 of us still watch the show bc of the poor plotting, its about to be 1 person talking about it bc im about to stop watching the show.

  21. Bonnie Says:

I sometimes wonder if Shonda gives Patrick and Ellen enough credit. They have amazing chemistry and work so well together. They know each other so well that I have always thought give them more imput into their characters and you would have some really great storylines. Shonda says one thing and seems to always turn around and do something totally stupid. I hate to sound unkind but at this point I'm just really frustrated. I just don't know what Shonda thinks she doing.

  22. Kristin Says:

I think that that would be an awesome idea, Annette, but do you think the writers would give Mer enough courage to do something as drastic as propose to Derek? They've been pushing and pulling her for the last 2 seasons, even though it's obvious she doesn't want any other man except Derek. She has had her pick and she chose him. I don't understand why that is so hard for him to comprehend. I can understand how frustrating it might be for him that she doesn't want a house and all that, but maybe Derek's pushing her a little too quickly. Yes, he loves her and she loves him, but living together and marriage is a HUGE commitment and she has led a very tough life and has had difficulties trusting men. Derek needs to show Mer some love and support and stick by her. That's all he has to do and she will come around, guarenteed.

I really do not like the Rose character. She seems to be that girl in high school that goes around snatching other girl's boyfriends because she can't seem to get her own. I'm pretty sure that she knows about Mer and Derek-that hospital is full of gossip! Honestly, the writers need to get rid of her and focus on the main characters. What's happening with Callie/Sloan/Hahn? Is Cristina every going to consider a relationship again? Can Izzie and George see past their friendship and make their love work? Will Alex finally settle down with Lexie or continue chasing a married mother? How is the chief and his wife doing? Can Bailey save her marriage? Whatever happened to McVet? There are SO many story lines already in effect. The writers need to work on them before they can bring someone else in to interfere with everyone.

Whew. Thanks guys. I really needed to get all that off my chest. :)

  23. Aussie MerDer shipper Says:

Greetings to all. This is the first time I have posted on your forum.

I too am verry annoyed at the direction that the show is taking...

Why on earth is Derek going to try dating Rose? If anything, that just further jeopardises any chance he and Meredith have of sorting things out. She (Meredith) has so many issues and Derek's complete lack of understanding is just disgusting. I'm not sure if he is deserving of the title of McDreamy, anymore. I would have thought 'McDreamy' would have been more patient and understanding of Meredith's issues. I shouldn't really direct my annoyance at Dempsey's character as it is those people involved with creating the show that are responsible for the direction that has been taken.

I haven't seen any of season 4 as I think its due to start here (in Aus) in Feb/Mar but from what I've read of this season thus far and from what I have read regarding episode 11, I don't know that I will be watching it every week.

Kristin absolutely correct there are just so many other storylines that can be persued rather than persuing the destruction of MerDer.

Yes, there is a great 'chemistry' between Dempsey and Pompeo, why can't this be capitalised on in the show?

I agree with someone else who said that the cast is too large. It was far better when just about every character was involved in an indepth storyline, for each show.

I could rant for a while longer but think that I will go back to watching my Season 3 DVDs are relive the bits where Mer and Der where happy.

One last thing though, the strike better resolve itself in time for more new eps to be made. Ep 11 as a season finale would be so bad!

  24. marissa Says:

"when i met you, i thought that i have found the person that i was going to spend the rest of my life with. i was done. So all the boys, and the bars, and all the obvious DADDY ISSUES, who cared" Okay, hello, do the writers even remember their own lines? I mean, wasn't Meredith and Derek dying to get together for a season and a half? It was so clear to them and t the whole hospital for that matter, that they belong together. They craved to get just a few moments with eachother.Meredith was depressed all the time, she kept saying how she couldn't go on. She almost died and all she could think was that she was unable to remember her last kiss with Derek.
For all those things we came to love Grey's. And we came to love Merder. We even came to "forgive" Shonda for Addison, and patiently waited for this triangle to resolve, because it made some sense. Because Derek was Mc Dreamy, and we had to let him try with Addison.
But now... It just doesn't make any sene anymore. Why on earth would Meredith, to begin with, be so reluctant to commit into a relationship she kept craving for? The daddy issues were there beefore. And Derek? Come on! He's not Mc Dreamy now. What kind of man proposes to a woman, saying again and again how she's the love of his life, and just a couple of weeks later decides "to give his relationship with Rose a try"? Eventhough Meredith
is obviously growing and trying and saying that she does't wan't him to date other women? Derek choosing Addison was one thing, but Derek chossing Rose is just..not right.
It's sad that Grey's is becoming one of those shows that have no intelligence and real depth and edgie storylines to go on, so they keep making the main couple break up, using viewer's love for it, so as to keep them attached.
We don't knw who these characters are anymore, and we don't like them.

  25. tets Says:

It's so full of crap. I'm tired of this will they-won't they thing. Too bad with the strike hiatus and the storyline people might get tired and not watch it anymore once it comes back.
