Cristina: “I found Lauren Conrad’s sex tape! It does exist, it does exist!”

Recently on Grey’s Anatomy, Patrick Dempsey’s Derek locked lips with Nurse Rose (Lauren Stamile). While this means more trouble for Derek and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) - who one of our readers points out has been together with him in only 18 of 71 episodes - Dempsey is actually happy about the development.

The hit medical series’ leading man said in a recent interview that he is feeling more “encouraged” that someone new has come into to his character’s life.

“It will certainly make the story lines more interesting and compelling,” Dempsey told the New York Post. “Last season was boring to do. Enough is enough already. It’s time for the writers to go back and take a look at things and find some new paths for some of these characters. It was too repetitive for me.”

That said, Patrick Dempsey admits that he is not necessarily very hopeful about what will happen between the on-again, off-again Derek and Meredith in the near future.

“You would think that [Derek and Meredith] would work through their difficulties and move forward. Meredith needs to get healthy. That’s an interesting thing to explore with her character. Does he stand by her while she goes through that? Or do they work through their problems alone,” Patrick Dempsey posed.

“[Grey’s Anatomy creator / executive producer] Shonda Rhimes is very clear on what she wants to do but not clear on what the actors are going to do.”

As of right now, production on Grey’s Anatomy remains shut down as the WGA strike continues. Although Dempsey and the rest of the show’s cast and crew are out or work, he is still riding high career-wise, with the success of his film Enchanted.

“I always knew that if it worked, it would be huge,” Dempsey said. “But you take a risk with these things. It’s been interesting because everyone likes this movie - men, kids, moms. The movie touches the child in everyone, while dispelling the whole idea that if you find that one right person you are going to live happily ever after.”

People’s 2007 Star of the Year will also appear in the upcoming romantic comedy Made of Honor, due to hit theaters in May 2008. Although his movie career seems to be taking off once more, Dempsey isn’t about to leave Grey’s Anatomy just yet.

“The opportunities that the cast is getting are certainly because of the show’s huge success,” he said. “As long as [Grey’s Anatomy] continues, we will stay with it.”

Grey’s Anatomy star Eric Dane, a.k.a. Dr. Mark Sloan (a.k.a. McSteamy) is featured in the latest issue of Flaunt Magazine. Which some of us didn’t know existed, to tell you the truth, but are big fans of now, thanks to their story on Eric Dane!

More informations emerged regarding the wedding of Grey’s Anatomy beauty Katherine Heigl and musician Josh Kelley. Here are a few more details of the big day:

• About 80 friends and family attended the Heigl-Kelley wedding inside a white-draped tent and guests were given gift baskets of Christmas cookies as they arrived
• Katherine Heigl wore a traditional white Oscar De La Renta gown
• The couple wrote its own vows
• Heigl’s maid of honor was her older, adopted sister, Meg
• Katherine’s three bridesmaids wore cranberry red cocktail dresses, also by Oscar De La Renta
• Josh Kelley had four groomsmen, all dressed head-to-toe in Tommy Hilfiger, including his younger brother Charles, who served as the best man, and Katherine’s Grey’s Anatomy co-star, T.R. Knight

Wanting to keep everything both simple and elegant, the bride and groom eschewed traditional readings and went straight to exchanging their vows, then the rings, which Katherine Heigl had custom designed for the blessed event.

T.R. wasn’t the only Grey’s cast member there to cheer Katherine on. Also joining their Emmy-winning co-star were Sandra Oh, Kate Walsh and Justin Chambers.

On Saturday, Katherine and her gal pals celebrated her last day of single-hood with an all-day trip to the spa, complete with gifts from Victoria’s Secret and buckets of champagne from Moet & Chandon. Sounds like a great time all around!

Thanks to the WGA strike, we have run out of episodes of all our favorite shows, Grey’s Anatomy among them. Grey’s Anatomy only has one new episode (episode 11) left, which as we’ve talked about at length, will air on January 10.

When we last left the staff of Seattle Grace, Lexie Grey was unable to save Nick (Seth Green), a patient who she had just started to make a connection with. Miranda Bailey’s husband got sick of waiting for her to make time for him and their son.

Derek kissed Rose, and Meredith told him that she doesn’t want him seeing anyone else, unaware of what has happened with Rose of course. Alex and Ava hooked up - after he got suspended for sneaking her into his surgery (and told her about Lexie) After work, Meredith, Lexie and Cristina bonded, dancing away their worries.

Tonight, ABC will air a Grey’s Anatomy repeat, an episode we saw earlier this fall in “The Heart of the Matter.” You can follow the action in our episode guide.

As we reported last week, the next new Grey’s Anatomy episode - and possible strike-induced season finale - is set for two weeks from tonight, January 10.

He missed out on Sexiest Man Alive (coming in second), but Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey has been named “Star of the Year” by People magazine.

The 41-year-old actor received the top honors for having had a great year on and off screen. Patrick Dempsey, who plays Dr. Derek Shepherd on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, graces the cover of the celebrity magazine’s year-end issue.

“I’m just enjoying everything in life more than I ever have … I’m trying to enjoy the moment while it’s here and to be able to provide for my family so that I can step away and enjoy raising them away from all this,” Patrick Dempsey told People.

Things weren’t always easy for the Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey.

After appearing in several notable ‘80s films, including Loverboy and Can’t Buy Me Love, he failed to land subsequent roles that would have furthered his career.

His marriage to his former manager, Rocky Parker, a woman 26 years older than him, also collapsed, driving him into what he called a period of severe depression.

“It was a very difficult time. I was insecure, felt I was no good,” Patrick Dempsey said. “It took me two days to get psyched and it was very hard to stay positive. There were years when I wasn’t working and people didn’t care about me.”

However, people certainly started caring about him again when he landed the role of Derek – a.k.a. McDreamy – on Grey’s Anatomy. His personal life also received an enormous lift when he married Jillian Fink, a celebrity make-up artist, in 1999.

Apart from their twin boys, Darby and Sullivan, born this February, Patrick and Jillian Dempsey also have an older daughter Talula, who is 6.

Congratulations to Patrick on this well-earned honor!

Katherine Heigl is officially a married woman after marrying Josh Kelley in a black-tie ceremony Sunday at the Stein Eriksen Lodge in Deer Valley, Utah.

The beautiful, 30-minute sunset ceremony, which ended shortly after 5 p.m., took place under a giant white tent in front of more than 100 family members and friends, including Grey’s Anatomy co-stars Sandra Oh, Kate Walsh and T.R. Knight.

The heated wedding tent, dramatically lit by blue-and-purple lighting and decorated in large white drapes, was filled with silver chairs covered with white cushions on a white carpet. The couple wed on an altar flanked by brass candleholders.

Afterward, her Grey’s Anatomy co-star T.R. Knight, who was to have served as a “bridesman,” told a reporter: “It was incredible. It was beautiful.”

Despite the pre-wedding jitters the actress was experiencing, Katherine’s big day seems to have been perfect. Her sister Meg said: “It was great.”

Is a baby next on the agenda for the couple?

“I’m super excited to start a family,” Katherine Heigl recently remarked. “I’ve always wanted a family, a large family. But I say that now!”

They met in 2005 when Heigl appeared in the music video for Josh Kelley’s song “Only You.” She gushed: “I met a guy I can’t imagine living without!”

Josh Kelley popped the question to Katie back on June 19, 2006, presenting the blonde beauty with a 3-carat, pear-shaped diamond flanked by pave diamonds. Half of the platinum band is from her mother, Nancy Heigl’s, own engagement ring.

With Grey’s Anatomy characters struggling with various issues these days, what remedies would work best? To help answer that question thought, we’d thought we’d ask a local professional and avid Grey’s Anatomy fan! Yes, it’s a slow news week!

Campbell Phelps, MSW, LCSW, possesses a Masters in Social Work and a certification in Urban Leadership. She has a clinical background in treating co-occurring disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, and severe persistent mental illness. Campbell is also on the inpatient Psychiatric Consultation Liaison Service at a prominent hospital int he Northeast.

We could continue Campbell’s professional bio for another three paragraphs, but you trust she’s an expert by now, right? And, as with one of our previous medical experts, we’re intimidated by her credentials. Alright, let’s get to our interview …

Grey’s Anatomy Insider: What medications would you prescribe for various characters? Name the medication, character and reason for recommending it.

CP: Unfortunately I cannot prescribe any medications but if I could… I would get an emergency psychiatric evaluation on Meredith Grey. She probably suffers from a personality or psychotic disorder with how often she talks to herself! She would benefit from Thorazine - usually prescribed for people with severe disruptions in thought and perception. Maybe we could get her to stop twitching her lips a bit too….

Even Meredith Grey herself would admit she needs help!

Dr. Alex Karev is just too darn angry… he needs something for his poor impulse control, whether it be sexual or aggressive. He needs to stop just wanting to have sex with everyone without a commitment. Recommend Seroquel, to help stabilize his mood.

Cristina Yang… she needs valium or some other type of muscle relaxant. She is way too up tight and needs to chill out or else she may seriously (there IT IS) crack.

And lastly… poor little Lexie Grey. She should probably just borrow some of her sister’s medications, as psychotic disorders are usually hereditary.

The rest of the bunch are fairly normal …

Grey’s Anatomy Insider: How often do you and your co-workers say the word “seriously” on a daily basis?

CP: We seriously say seriously all the time. Seriously. No, I’m dead serious (this is another common phrase).

Grey’s Anatomy Insider: What celebrity should make a guest appearance on Grey’s?

CP: So I took a poll on this one. Most votes went to Brad Pitt or George Clooney. Although one vote was for Colin Firth (random?). We think Brad would just jell with the rest of the cast and possibly give them a reality check. Plus we are hoping that he will get it on with Izzie or Miranda.

Grey’s Anatomy Insider: You’re also a fan of MTV’s The Hills. So we gotta ask: Are you on Team Heidi or Team Lauren?

CP: Team Lauren all the way! Are there even people on Heidi’s team?
