OMG....i am firstly so devasted at the ending of the episode. it was a good one with the whole idea of physical chemistry and how ppl are attracted to one another. Liked the lightness it brought with gizzie but the total dramatic touch it brought with the surgeries, and the relationships.
Firstly, i would like to say...I am completely and utterly saddened by the whole Gizzie situation!
it isn't looking good...and tht worries me! cause i love those two being a couple, and all. but they just can't have Good Sex! sighs...they tried so many times and still it was horrible!! even at the end Both of them lied to each other, saying tht it was incredible when it was lousy! *why?!*
the writers shouldn't continue sinking this ship cause i love them being a romantic couple and they just took away everything i loved about them together by havin this barrier!! I really hope tht they dun have any problems after this...and I know they love each other, sadly they can't find chemistry at the moment. Wat happened to the previous eps?! n all tht sexual tension...argh.
Sorry, i'm quite nervous about the whole Gizzie thing since i'm a huge supporter! and it doesn't seem right to put them both in such a situation!
Pls...hopefully something will be resolved and things would be better between them.
although it was funny...until the End!! *shucks*

Bring back the Gizzie Magic...!! you couple destroyers...c'mon dun we have enough of spoilt relationships?! I can't believe they murdered the chemistry between George and Izzie!! Why?!
I want them to continue to be togther...pls pls.
It ended badly for Gizzie this week...i'm so sad. sob sob.
Gizzie, save them!

Completely agree with you Maddison and Hannah! They don't have chemistry? What about the closet scene and the elevator kiss?
November 9th, 2007 11:07 AM
they did have chemistry in the previous episodes like with the elevator kiss and the linen closet! i loved those scenes...but i think hannah is saying that in "Physical Attraction, Chemical Reaction" the lastest ep. they killed the chemistry being George and izzie completely! bad sex...and lying at the end of it too. I am a gizzie fan and i want the old chemistry back even if it wasn't in bed!

Seriously. SO WEAK on behalf of the writers. Throwing in a completely nonsensical and heartbreaking plot just to appease whiny fans that have no taste. Where is their sense of integrity about what they believe in and wrote from the start? They wrote us a great couple, hooked us on them, and now make this come out of left field cuz they can't make up their minds. WHat now? George ruined his marriage - oops, by mistake for nothing. I guess all the other amazing chemistry scenes are just supposed to be forgotten. I've lost respect.

I disagree with all the pro-Gizzie comments. Izzie and George had 'seemingly' great chemistry when their 'love' for each other was forbidden - while George was married and Izzie was on the verge of losing her best friend. So they had an affair, or one drunken night stand, which the sex was so amazing. Because of that, they started validating all the feelings they had for one another causing George to end his marriage. Now that they have crossed over where the grass is greener, they're starting to realize that it might have been a mistake after all. It's brilliant that the writers are making George and Izzie reap the results of a decision that was made in haste. They are better off being best friends and not lovers.
November 9th, 2007 12:22 PM
yea..i agree with MB, they just swept it under a rug and forgot all about the Love and chemistry George and Izzie had the first few episodes of S4! and s3...wat happened to the love story written at the start?! they are so meant to be together and it is ruined cause some ppl dun like em as a couple?! wtf?! i miss Gizzie being "in love" and a perfect couple! They might as well hang me upside down!! they are a great couple...and this story line doesn't do them any Justice!! its so shallow and stupidly written! wat was all the kissing and closet scenes about den?! thts chemistry...they just wanted a way out! those who feel the same way...Pls fight for Gizzie.

It's a stupid comment, but I saw a 'mistake' :
in the beginning of the episode, at 01:34, you can see Mer's breast is covered with something, because the blanket is not in the right position =)

Meredith's confrontation of Lexie trying to take her friends and live her life is so narcissistic. She really needs to get over herself, not just for Lexie's sake, but for Derek. Props to Lexie standing up to her. Even though she appears weak and needy, always wanting to connect with Meredith, she really is the stronger Grey of the two. She just lost her mom, has to deal with an alcoholic father, Yang's consistent scowling at her, and Mer's constant rejection...she still manages to make an effort to right the wrong and avoid blaming others. I think Karev got to see all the pressures Lexie is dealing with all by herself. I hope he's a constant support for her.

This episode was decent. I thought seeing Callie grooving during surgery was awesome, and I really hope they find her a solid story line - maybe Joshua Jackson! I can't wait to see Dr. Bailey kick some booty as C.R. now. I'm confused of why they got rid of Addison if they were just going to bring another woman character the same age for good, you might as well keep the original character? I'm REALLY ready for Christina to show up Dr. Hahn - or work with her - or something. No major comments on Gizzie - whatever happens, happens. But how can George not be married already - divorce doesn't happen that fast. Love seeing more Alex time. I thought it was cool seeing Meredith and him have screen time together for something different.

I have started quite liking Lexie though why she sticks around Mer after being constantly shunned is beyond me. I wish now Mer shows some effort. Alex and Lexie could work and found their last scenes quite poignant. Who knew I could actually like Alex after the whole Addison bit
Merder really bore me now and I wanted to know what do the Merdrer shippers think abt them now? I just dont see any chemistry and even the actors looked bored in the bedroom scene.
Gizzie should stop now. I was all for it last season (linen, hannah, elevator) but now esp after the awkward sex I just cannot fathom those two together. I hope they go back to being best friends like before.
I have a feeling Sloan and Izzie may just hook up. Poor Izzie needs some action and I hope they dont go the Alex route.
Loved Baily and the Chief hug and found Christina and Torres annoying!

i was always so surprised that there were so many "gizzie" fans here and thought this was the case amongst all americans..but then i went on the website of msn.com where they asked viewers' opinions and comments on the gizzie situation and on FOURTEEN pages i did not see one supportive comment..so i guess all pro gizzie fans have just gathered here..don't get me wrong, i believe everyone has the right to love whomever they want but i just hate gizzie from the bottom of my heart as they are not credible and even if they were , they lack chemistry, they don't care about callie and they are utterly boring!
all in all i agree with one person on msn.com who said that *izzie and george never loved eaqch other but just loved the idea of loving each other".that's one thing i can believe.

I do love Izzie and George together but I think I can agree with both sides. They had the drunken one night stand and then because that sex was so good they started to think of why exactly it was so good. Part of the thrill was the tension building up to the sex but now there's nothing keeping them apart which was the whole basis of their "forbidden love" romance.
I am starting to like Lexi and i really don't want to but the whole Thatcher thing was so heartwrenching!

I think in this episode both Grey sisters showed some interesting growth. I like that Lexie stood up for herself, that she's starting to understand Mer a little better, and that she's still trying. For Mer, I don't find her selfish or mean at all. It's a sucky situation from her perspective; family has always meant bad things. Actually, she never had a family until her group of intern friends...and now Lexie. Mer has grown by realizing that she doesn't hate Lexie, just what Lexie represents...which is someone being chosen over her. She spent the entire episode trying not to care, but you can tell she does.
At the end, Alex basically "chose" Mer over Lexie, which Mer realized and I think appreciated. And she does care, or she wouldn't have worried and sent Alex to take Lexie home. Alex also got to see a part of Lexie's life no one else knows, and one he totally understands. That will be interesting to see what happens there.
Mostly I just wanted to comment about the Grey sisters. I think most posters everywhere are being too hard on Mer, but as someone in a eerily similar situation, it's not easy at all. Mer doesn't have the same supportive foundation Lexie grew up with, so wouldn't find the situation as simple to deal with as Lexie does. For Lexie, they are sisters. End of story. Which means they should have a sisterly relationship. For Meredith, she did NOT grow up with sisters (or any family really) and still has to learn what that means. She's just trying to protect herself from getting hurt again, but at the same time, pretending she doesn't care...when it's OBVIOUS that she does.
The rest of the episode was fantastic! Love the Chief/Derek interactions...funny! Love Mark and Cristina and their talks about Hahn. Adore the Bailey of it all...LOVE her!! Gizzie...heehee. as Cristina said in season 1 "Bad sex. Sucks for you."
:-)

okie...i am a big Gizzie fan but it seems tht the writers have a different plan for them. i actually fell in love wit Gizzie in season 3 ep19 when they were in the closet together! Loved tht and the evelator scene! So much chemistry and love there! But i am now wondering what is happening?! the writers are killing the Gizzie story! Which sucks. cause i love them as a couple and seeing as though their love wasn't real seems so harsh! I get the whole forbidden love thing, but i dun think Izzie and George are so blinded and shallow tht they didn't realize it earlier. i mean...george left his wife for Izzie!! it has to mean something huge! they both clearly Love each other its just tht now, they *the writers* want humor and tried this road! i really hope Gizzie fans will stick through.

Gizzie sucks! MerDer are the only chemistry couple of this show. Boring??!! Great! They are always perfect with an amazing chemistry!
