TV Guide Reveals Major Grey's Anatomy Spoiler
Presumably, New York Magazine wryly observes, a magazine about TV would be aware that one of the reasons people like TV is surprise - the twists and turns of their favorite shows.
While some love their Grey's Anatomy spoilers (for reasons unknown to us), most would like to remain at least somewhat in the dark.
It's a little surprising, then, that TV Guide decided to reveal a huge Grey's Anatomy spoiler on its new cover. Actually, that's too generous. They flat-out gave away a major development.
It'd be one thing to spoil it inside the magazine. This site won't show the full cover until after the jump. But to give away the plot on the cover â" the only part of TV Guide many people might see - seems a tad ridiculous. But what's done is done.

Presenting Alex and Ava! Or is it Rebecca Pope? Whatever you call Elizabeth Reaser's character, you can't deny the chemistry she and Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) had last season. Now, it appears she's back to "seal the deal!"
We knew Elizabeth Reaser had signed back on for more episodes of the show, but this spoiler goes a tad far. Nonetheless, we look forward to seeing the drama unfold when Rebecca / Ava / Jane Doe returns to Seattle Grace.

Yay! Glad to see that Alex gets his Ava/Rebecca/Jane Doe back. I heard she was back, so i sort of figured. The people on the cover looked like alex and someone, so I figured it was them. I am excited to see her back. ^_^

first of all YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im so excited i knew she was coming back but when i saw this cover i started screaming and crying tears of joy! our neighbors thought we like won the lottery =) im so happy! there getting together next episode i can't wait.. if u havent gotten the TV guide yet get it it tells the whole scene its so adorable awww i cant wait!!! ava and alex forever

Oh PULEEEZZEE...ABC/Shonda Rhimes and Touchstone knew this cover was being shot for TV Guide. They totally cleared it to be released. We are not stupid, so it's totally disturbing that you would act like this is news. If ABC does not want the "spoiler" out, then they will not have Justin and Elizabeth do a photoshoot for the cover. It's as simple as that. The actors are under contract and cannot go against the wishes of the producers and creators of the show.
This is SO NOT A STORY it's not even funny. C'mon now. Get real.

First off, the web site published stuff about "Ava" coming back during the summer. And second, how could you not want Alex and "Ava" to get back together. The first episode of this season said that Alex drove to see "Ava" but never did make contact with her. So, I think that it's awesome that they bring her back. He is actually human and has feelings when it comes to her. I wonder what they're going to do about the baby? I guess Alex will be a step-dad.

You are SOo right. This is just one of many marketing ploys to boost the ratings. This just confirms what I've said before about Shonda/ABC. They have NO REGARD FOR THE FANS. They really believe the fans are stupid. And that people will watch no matter how bad the writing is. This is not news. It was mentioned (4) months ago that Ava was coming back and that she was in talks with ABC to determine the # of episodes.
I have always wanted her back. She and Alex are perfect together. Just Love them. She is a woman of substance, which is what Alex needs right now.
