Who Will Win Best Supporting Actress Honors?

Who will take home the Emmy Awards Sunday night?

That remains to be seen, but in the opinion of Entertainment Weekly, the award for Supporting Actress in a Drama Series - which boasts three Grey's Anatomy stars in contention - belongs in the hands of only one woman...

Sandra Oh: The Critics

Despite the consistent strength of Chandra Wilson and emergence of Katherine Heigl, the subtle brilliance of Sandra Oh deserves the prize over both - and the other three competitors - in the eyes of this magazine. What do you think?

Incidentally, Grey's Anatomy is also up for Best Drama Series, with T.R. Knight nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

We will be pulling for all our favorite stars - and scratching our heads as to why Ellen Pompeo isn't nominated for anything. What gives?

I kind of agree with entertainment weekly although I believe that Chandra and Kat both have a pretty good chance. Sandra just seems to live and breath her character and it shows. Her star gets brighter and brighter with every season of Grey's Anatomy. She just shines more is what I'm trying to say.

  2. PINK MIST Says:

    ELLEN GOT ROBBED

  3. Doris Says:

No PINK MIST Ellen didn't get robbed. Meredith just wasn't her usual self the second half of this season, and the voters obviously saw that, too. Even Ellen said she wanted Meredith to come to her senses i.e. something along the lines of wanting to shake her or wring her neck.

Sandra Oh is my choice as well

  5. luvsandra Says:

love love love sandra oh since day 1! i also think she'll win!

  6. Sam123 Says:

I like Sandra Oh. I think she'll win it. But, I also think that Chandra has a chamce at it.

  7. Sam123 Says:

    *chance at it.

  8. Jenny Says:

Sandra Oh should totally win ! Love her, she is awesome.

  9. All I do is complain Says:

I don't know how Ellen didn't get nominated.

I also think Sandra should win.

  10. Doris Says:

I agree with you all. Sandra SHOULD win!!!

  11. katherineheiglfan4life Says:

    yeah right...
I think Katherine has the most chance of winning
knocked up, a HUGE hit and a very popular character on Greys too....

  12. Doris Says:

Having a great performance in a great movie DOES NOT MEAN Katherine Heigl's guaranteed to win an Emmy for her TV character, katherineheiglfan4life.

  13. Tanya Says:

While I do think Oh is brilliant season 3 belonged to Heigel solely because of the diff stories lines and her character's growth and subsequent fall from grace. Izzie from S1 and S2 was just the main lead's friends. Howevr in S3 she held her own and overshadowed Meredith completely who was just stuck and failed to display any strength.

As a Lost fan I do think Juliet Mitchell should have been nominated over the actress from Bro and Sis. Cant rem her name :)

But that said I think the woman from Sopranos will win because of the series end. Sandra was better in S1 and S2 and her storyline with BUrke got a little boring in S3.

Ellen was the worse in S3 and the only noteworthy scene I can think of is when her step mum dies and she has to tell her dad.

I am rooting for Heigl or Wilson.

  14. Mandy Says:

KATHERINE HEIGL WON!!! OHHH YEAH!! CONGRATULATIONS TO HER!..now i hope Grey's Anatomy can win for best drama!

  15. can i say yuck Says:

Heigl won. The end is near. THE END IS NEAR cause Heigl won. Seriously???? HEIGL WON. ARE YOU F*CKIN KIDDING ME???? Barbie bitch can't freakin act and you have to be a retard to not realize that.

  16. Tanya Says:

Wow that was one rant! Are you sure you are a fan of the show? Anyways congrats to Heigl, well-deserved win.

  17. can i say yuck Says:

Uhm... I don't see anywhere in my post that I said I'm a fan of the show. Ok. I was a fan of the show from season 1 and (the most part of) season 2. Now, if Sandra Oh or Chandra Wilson bagged the award, that I would say well-deserved. But Katherine Heigl? NO F*CKIN' WAY. Read up on Entertainment Weekly, most of the writers there share my sentiments. They, too, cannot come up with the slightest comprehensible reason why Barbie Bitch won the Emmy's. It's a downright insult and violation to the rest of the nominees. Seriously.

That's great, it starts with an Emmy, divas and awards, and then a raise.
Isaiah Washington is not afraid. Start of another speech, listen to yourself hurl,
Katherine gets another scene regardless of the snubbed lead. Eat it up with butter, use a spoon, no a fork, knife, no. PSAs and chokegate. Floppy hair and Mer break. up. a-gain. Triangles, Octangles, everyone's sleeping together a-gain.

It's the end of Grey's as we know it.
It's the end of Grey's as we know it.
It's the end of Grey's as we know it.
    And I feel fine.....

Today, September 16, 2007 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by bad taste and acting ability of Katherine Hy-gel.

The United States was at peace with the fact that she could not act and, at the solicitation of Academy of Arts, was still in conversation with the various television and movie distributors looking toward the keeping her off television entirely.

Indeed, one hour after Hy-gel won, a plane crashed in Thailand and OJ was arrested. While this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue giving out Emmys based upon talent and acting, it contained no threat or hint of realism or acting merit.

It will be recorded that the tragedy that was her performance makes it obvious that the this bullshit was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During the intervening time, the Emmy people has deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for continued good acting on television.

The attack today on the American taste has caused severe damage to American television and cinema forces. Very many American lives have been lost. In addition, American acting talent has been reported torpedoed on a grand scale between Las Angeles and New York City.

I believe that Katherine Heigl shouldn't have one the emmy.
I believe that the Emmy's are officially a joke.
I believe that this is the beginning of the end.
I believe that Katherine Hiegl is going to demand a red carpet no matter where she walks.
I believe that I have never valued Isaiah 'getting fired' more than I have today.
I believe that Sandra should just walk away when she has a chance.
And I believe that believing these makes me an intelligent person and by saying that I believe that I have the belief that this whole thing is just a joke.

  21. Sarah Says:

stop reading about her if you dont like her!!! she rocks and is better than any of you asses! Go katherine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  22. jac Says:

seriously, they all earned the nom and Katherine won, so good for her!! just move on..

  23. EllenWasRobbed Says:

Haha. That comment was hilarious READ ME. I didn't get it for a minute. I hated that speech. I liked izzie in Season Two but not in this season. She's an overactor. Too desperate. Absolutely stunning girl all the same. Ellen Pompeo is so underrated. She's a brilliant actress but what can ya do if ya don't get the lines. She doesn't have to force chemistry between herself and Patrick like KH has to with TR - who btw remind me of Will and Grace. Sick and Wrong. Patrick should have been nominated too. His actin in Drowning on Dry Land and My Favourite Mistake especially was outstanding. And what are they tryin to do with George. Turn him into a stud muffin? I'm sorry but there's only one McDREAMY.
