I hope the spoiler is right too, and I totally agree with everyone on the George and Izzie thing. It seriously has to stop, I don't care if its old people or young people that like it, it has to stop. When did George go from this 007, Meredith lovin, no game whatsoever, mom ironing your scrubs nerd to the man that too woman are fighting over? I am sorry but you Gizzie haters are seriously insulting and rude. I cannot believe you are abshing a group of fans because we happen to love a fictional couple. So we have no values because we love them? So the Meredith and Derek fans must have no values either as they started off as an affair as well. Derek lied to Meredith about being married, and then when Meredith found out, she begged Derek to dump his wife and pick me, choose me in one of the most pathetic, disgusting speech ever. And then they ahd disgusting sex at the prom with Addison very close by.
George and Izzie were at least drunk when it happened.
All the couples on this show are based on affairs, so by your warped logic, noone should love them.
I have a bigger problem with people who root for two actors committed to someone else to have an affair in real life, like the Dempeo fans who keep bashing Patrick's wife and the mother of his kids and wanting Patrick to have a hot steamy affair with Ellen behind her back. And we are the immoral ones? ROFLMAO.
Also, many studies have been published saying people in mourning do move on pretty fast, usually in the year after the death of the eprson they love. This is a documented fact. Many widows of soldiers have remarried pretty quickly after their husband's death. It is a normal thing and does not mean you didn't love your partner.
Implying so is ignorance and insulting to all the people who this happened to.
I think you have to be blind to not see that this was coming, I saw it all the way back to when enny was alive. Izzie was always way too jealous of Callie and way too into everything George did. And he was way too jealous of Alex.
I saw chemistry back to the I need some sex George scene, the way they were smiling at each other and their heads were so close, I thought they were about to kiss.

Maddie or whatever your name is, are you implying Gizzie fans are stay at home moms with nothing else to do with their times? Boy, you are patronizing, are you?
Stay-at-home moms work harder than pretty much everyone.
But, for the record, I am a French and English teacher, have a doctorate and have been teaching for 25 years.
I also do not condone adultery in REAL life, but on a TV show, I want the couple with the best chemistry to win out, and that is not George and Callie.
I don't hate Callie at all. In fact, I was talking with other George and Izzie fans eysterday and we were saying how sorry we felt for Callie as she always loved George more than he loved her.
I don't know how any Callie fans can want her in a marriage with someone whose heart belongs to someone else. That is the worst thing that could happen to someone, and this marriage was a mistake from the start.
Izzie did not ruin it, it was always ruined.
Was watching my season 3 DVD and Sandra Oh was doing the comments on the Desire episode and commented how fabulous TR and atie were together and she said that when she saw their love scene, she gasped out Wow! So obviously she ahs good taste and is able to see chemistry

George and Izzie are the ONLY GOOD thing that happened in season three. Their chemistry just leaps off the screen.
I was so thrilled after seeing the Grey video and they had two-near George and Izzie kisses and they were all over that video, they had more scenes than Meredith and Derek, LOL.
I have no diea how someone cannot see the sexual chemistry those two have. In that scene in the video where Izzie gets into George's face and they seem close to kissing and then she leaves, you can tell just how much George wanted to kiss her. His whole face is longing, that is so hot. And then in that scene where she elans in to kiss him and they are smiling. Izzie never smiled like that at anyone, not even Denny. The only other time I have seen such a radiantly happy smile from ehr was when she and George made love, just pure and total happiness and complete love.
And George is smiling at her big time.
I couldn't calm down for hours after that, that is how much I love them

I don't think Izzie even knows what love is. Have you not read the title of the second episode? Love Addiction. It is a real disorder. One I strongly suspect the lovely Isobel Stevens posseses. She confuses physical with emotional.
I honestly do not believe for one moment that George and Izzie belong together as anything but friends. If they had started this relationship back in season one or early season two I would have rolled my eyes and gone yippee another cliche romance that bloomed from friendship. However, when faced with a death like scenario George wasn't the one Izzie ran after for sex. It was Alex.
Which brings up a second point of mine: If you are all such big fans of George why would you want him with Izzie? She treats him like a child. She doesn't really look at him as a man but as a possession that is her's to control. George deserves much better. I don't necessarily think that is Callie at this point. Maybe in the future, maybe not. I wouldn't mind seeing him paired up with Meredith's sister Lexie. Which could be a possibilty.
On Lexie I would like to see her with Alex, Mark, or George. I say Alex because she would keep him from Ferry Freak (Jane Doe/Ava/Rebecca) who has some serious narcissistic traits.

Talking about having nothing to do, Maddie, you must have nothing to do too as half the comments on there seem to come from you. You sure spend a lot of energy talking about a couple you don't like.
I watch soap operas and I work. This is what PVR (or DVR in the States) are for. I work 40 hours a week and get to watch my shows too.
I might be the only one, but I thought Izzie was falling in love with george when Denny was still alive and she didn't notice it. Just the way she talked about him all the time, to anyone who would listen, even Denny.
The Denny thing was always mroe like Romeo and Juliette t me, the whole tragic thing appealing to Izzie. Not saying she didn't love him, but the tragic part of it did play a part in their love story. Not sure they would have worked if he lived as they really did not know anything about achh other.
George and Izzie on the other hand know each other so well and love each other. Like Shonda said, George loves Izzie, all of her, even he flaws. Now that is real love.
There is nothing Romeo and Juliet about Gizzie at all, just two best friends who have always shared everything discovering too late they were in love.
Most of the arguments from Gizzie fans I have read were well-articulated and thoughtful, I failed to see any Gizzie rocks, squee comments you are mentioning. Maybe you should reread correctly before saying thinhs that make no sense at all.

They are so Will and Grace! also my boyfriend is so sick to death of me talkin about MerDer all the time and their chemistry. But we both sat down last night and looked at My Favourite Mistake on the DVD. Ya know the last scene where Derek was tellin Meredith that he was distracted durin the Board Interview and she said how bad. He said eight and she kept kissin him until it got to one. That was sizzling. My boyfriend couldn't stop talkin about it and how real they were and how totally into one another they were and how naturally they fit. He's addicted now. MerDer forever.

I totally agree with BrightandShiny, George and Izzie are just like Will and Grace, no chemistry whatsoever. And to everyone that says this is just a show, we know that, but this is a Grey's Anatomy website where people can give their opinions, we just having a little fun discussing what we like and what we don't like, don't take it so seriously, SERIOUSLY! And once again for the record I cannot stand George and Izzie, and they should never be compared to Meredith and Derek. Mer/Der have way more history then Gizze and way more passion, and who would you rather have pining after you McDreamy or 007. Come on look at their nicknames, you have McDreamy and Bambi! Give me a break, no contest. Go Mer/Der, end Gizze. Its bad enough that we lost Burke and Addison, but don't make me sit through anymore of Gizze Shronda! I can't take it!

Mckenna Says:
September 21st, 2007 6:59 PM
So this is about George's looks? How shallow! And I'd dather George over McAss, oops McDreamy any day. Derek is the most boring character on the entire show. ASll he does is stand there and look handsome, yawn. The guy has no personality and no story without Meredith. George is funny, adorable, an amazing kisser, is sweet, smart and has a great big huge heart. Not to mention he has the most gorgeous blue eyes ever.
Derek has a cute face but that is about it, he does nothing for me.
And Meredith and Derek have more history, LMAO.
What history? The history where he met her drunk in a bar, took her home to have sex with her and proceeded to lie to her about being married. Or the history where he chose his wife over her after she pathetically begged him to pick her, choose her (that scene made me physically ill). And then after picking his wife, he ended up chasing after Meredith like a puppy, treating his wife like a dog and calling Meredith a whore when she tried to move on. Yes, what a dreamy dreamy guy!
I had to laugh when in her interview on ABC, Ellen Pompeo said Cristina meant way more to her than Derek, LOL.
Because I bet you, noone means more to Izzie than George. George is her best friend, her person and the guy she loves, he is definitely the one person who means the most to her in the entire world, and you cannot say that about Derek for Meredith.
Meredith and Derek have a lot of sex, but most of the time, they don't even seem to like each other.
So if you ave to compare. George and Izzie have more history, more friendship and just as much passion.
After all, George is Izzie's penis fish.
Alicia Says:
September 21st, 2007 7:07 PM
Derek might have been separated when he first slept with Mer, but when he slept with her at the prom, he definitely was married and had promised Addison he would be her husband full-time and he was committed to teir marriage. The prom thing happened after he called Mer a slut and pursued her for months, without an ounce of guilt.
George has done his best to stay away from Izzie, despite the fact he loves her. He was even willing to never speak to any of his friends again so he would do the right thing. They slept together once while they were drunk and had the kiss. There is obviously a lot of evry deep feelings between George and Izzie and an intense physical attraction but George has done his best to respect his marriage wishes as he does not believe in divorce. It is obvious his heart belong with Izzie though.
I'd pick Bambi over boring asshole Derek absolutely any day of the week. George has the sweetest, most adorable face and he is funny as heck. And I'd take cute, good kisser and sweet over supposedly hot anytime.
Not to mention, George seems to be pretty good in bed as Callie thanked him profusely the first time they did it and Shonda described the Gizzie sex as the best sex both of them ever had in their entire lives. And let's not forget Olivia dumping Alex for George after their night together. Also, given Izzie's look when she saw george naked, he is pretty impressive down there, LOL.
In fact, I would go out with George over any guy at the hospital. Alex and Mark are good eye-candy and not mch mroe I(and after seeing Alex's recent photos, he is not even that anymore).
Mem Says:

I like MerDer, but I find them a bit on the boring side, and all my friends pretty much feel the same way. That they are ok, but forgettable. I guess I don't mind them, I just don't really care about them at all. I love Meredith on her own, but Derek is a disgusting pig after the way he treated both Meredith and Addison.
As for Meredith, she seems to love her friends like Cristina, George and Izzie more than she loves Derek.
George and Izzie, to me, are perfect as they are best friends and lovers and they have fabulous chemistry. The timing is all off and I hate the affair, but if they can get George divorced and then have him and Izzie find their way to each other the rigth way and not too fast, I would love it.
I want George to be alone for a while and then him and Izzie to find their way slowly to each other without his marriage or any lies hanging over them.
They are funny, cute and so darn hot, that elevator kiss was wow!
Who knew our cute little georgie was such an amazing kisser!

the thing about O'Mizzie is -- and to me this is what matters -- every relationship is not about forever. Their relationship is not meant to parallel Meredith & Derek. They are both fighting to escape. It's not ideal and I can understand all points of view. But...to me, their coupling, so to speak, is like life. Messy and not necessarily rational and goal oriented. It happens.

Maybe every side should respect the other's opinions. It is pretty obvious a lot of people love George and Izzie and a lot of people don't. People will love different things.
I love George and Izzie and I don't need to explain why, I just do.
I am hating this site, there seems to be no one controlling what is being said at all.

Ok. When i first heard that George and izzie were hookin up i was happy because i love them. When i actually saw it i nearly vomited. Absolutely no chemistry whatsoever. Wrong wrong wrong.

I totally see the chemistry between George and Izzie. However the relationship is misplaced and ill-timed. The writers needed to jump on this bandwagon in season one.

It happens.

ok so people who are saying thank you about mer and der are dumb. cuz obviously he loves and obviously they are gonna end up together. i mean what would friends be without ross and rachael, boy meets world without cory and topanga. they are gonna be together, we just gotta be patient. and i like george and izzie. its gonna be kinda hard to just put an end to it since she loves him.
