I adore George and Izzie together and I am a 44 year old mother of two under the age of 3. I only make time to watch two shows, other than kiddie shows, and those are House M.D. and Grey's Anatomy. Hugh Laurie is the main reason I watch House, and George and Izzie are the main reasons I watch G.A. I loved them as friends, I loved them flirting, I loved the progression of them coming together, and I would love to see them continue to build their love for each other. I wasn't crazy about it being adultery, but hey, this is a Drama. They have more chemistry together than I have seen in a longtime. I adore the above comments from Gizzie fans. I will probably still be watching no matter what, since I love these two, but I will be completely disappointed in the writers if they aren't true to the course they had planned for these two soulmates.

I am a 34-mother of three and a big fan of George and Izzie, seriously those generalizations are getting tiresome. Besides, what does age have to do with it. My kids are more emotionally mature than a lot of adults I know. When I go on a board like TWOP and I read a Gizzie hater saying to a fan of the couple, he would punch all the Gizzie fans if eh met her on the street, I have to really question some people's mental state. Some of the so-called Gizzie haters I have met have come up as very immature, threatening, insulting the fans of the couple and even insulting the looks of TR.
In general, the fans of George and Izzie I have met have been well-articulated, respectful of other opinions and just wanting the same respect, and that includes the teenage fans.
As for Meredith and Derek, nowhere is she saying they are together and nowhere is she confirming Gizzie is over. She just stated opinions on what she thinks of them, and like many have pointed out before, she ahs expressed those same opinions in the same words before, none of it is new. Yet Aussiello is seen as this guy who knows everything and gets the big spoilers, how are those groundbreaking spoilers when they have been divulged before.
God, no wonder the guy has a head as big as Oklahoma. He has been wrong so many times since last season, yet some people conveniently forget when he says what they want to hear. That is pretty sad.
The sad thing is all those fanwars are turning me off the show, and right now George and Izzie are the only reason why I still watch this show, so if Shonda has really let the haters get to her and has ignored all the people who do love those two and think they have the potential to be a beautiful, amazing couple (in my eyes, they already are) and to gain even more fans if given a chance, then I will be gone.
Some of the Meredith and Derek fans are so totally obsessed with Meredith and Derek and them alone, we will be stuck with endless MerDer all the time and any couple that could dare be a threat to them and be more interesting like Gizzie will be dropped.
I am not sticking around for that. Shonda may think Merer are great but I don't, and I know this veiw is shared by many.

I don't know if anyone has noticed this but look at all television shows, they will pick a two people that the audience wants to see together and they will contiunosly put them together and pull them apart. They have to keep people watching. Meredith and Derek will not be together for good until the series finale. If Shronda did it beforehand they show would have no reason to continue. Thats the same reason George and Izzie won't be together at least not for long(Thank God!) And Sak you are totally right I read the same thing, I think George is going to tell Izzie to go somewhere.

Melissa, I'm going to give you an update on "my dear" Lexie Grey (I think I McVomited a little in my mouth when I wrote her name LOL).
She is Tatcher an Susan Grey's beloved and bright and shiny daughter who was on med school on Harvard cause she was oh-so- smart, you are right, she is Meredith's long time lost half-sister and now she wanna know her because she wanna be the good sister in a very "Oh Meredith, I know my father hate you, but I wanna be your sister since I'm sooooo nice and good person"...
At least, thank God she is not Ellis' daughter too, because can you imagine an Ellis 2.0, that woman was a bitch, we don't need another one, because right now, Lexie is annoying (annoyingly happy and perky, she makes Izzie look bitter) but at least she is not bad (or maybe not bad-bad haha)
I hope that answer your question. And sorry for my bitterness, when I talk about the other characters I'm pretty nice, but when it comes to Lexie, I'm not me anymore LOL!

gizzie was such a bad move!!! why did they have to ruin one of the most beautiful friendships ever in the history of television??? i preferred them laughing and bickering and teasing each other. and being there for each other, genuinely caring for each other as friends. all that drama between them towards the end of the season grossed me out! a romantic storyline for izzie wasn't really necessary at that point in the show. she had to deal with her fiance's death, her probation, her daughter's surprise appearance . . . and then an affair???
and i really enjoyed george more as a stuttering loser than a philandering husband.

I am so glad some of the people who don't like Gizzie are speaking up.
the reason why i assumed older audiences would be the ones against Gizzie is simply because this couple is not credible. perhaps you can be in love with 2 people at the same time but i DOUBT that any normal person would notice anyone else when your are in grief, when your fiancé has just died and your world collapses. im sorry if Gizzie fans find it is normal, i just cant see it that way, too soapy for me... but of course, it is true, soap operas are extremely popular amongst older audiences, especially those who stay at home during the day because they are daytime shows..so perhaps i should take my words back..but something that i dont undestand is why do all the gizzie fans hate callie? is it because she's not that pretty? or she doesnt have the perfect body? or because she has her quirks and is at times insecure? i personally think that callie despite her flaws is just great and i really felt sorry for her when izzie (but also meredith and christina talked about her behind her back) insulted her continuously in each episode. loving someone should make you a better person but i started to dislike izzie because she was winy and annoying and she genuinely thought it would be natural that george left his wife.
how would you feel if any of your friends were in callie's position? would you cheer on her husband's lover or would you support your friend? anyway, too bad. i guess it is a question of how sensitive people are to certain moral dilemmas.some dont care at all..
anyway, thanks to everyone who is against Gizzie, it gives me back hope that there are some people out there who still have values and who don't like soap operas on primetime television:)

"Derek Shepherd was telling Meredith: 'I want to grow old with you...I want to spend the next 108 winters with you,' when a production assistant noticed the skunk," the source said.
