Katherine Heigl Wins Best Supporting Actress Emmy!
Experts' predictions had Sandra Oh taking home the Best Supporting Actress honors, but when the dust settled, the Emmy went to Katherine Heigl!
Katherine, who was not only going up against the formidable Sandra Oh and a third Grey's Anatomy star, Chandra Wilson, but three of the best supporting actresses from all other drama series, was quite taken aback.
Katherine Heigl, who won in her first-ever Emmy nomination, joked that she did not prepare a speech for the occasion because "My own mother told me that I didn't have a shot in hell of winning tonight."
As cameras focused on her mother and manager, Nancy, in the crowd, Katherine Heigl laughed and added, "But she's a really big supporter. She does love me."
In closing, a tearful daughter addressed a tearful Nancy Heigl, "This is for you, this is because of you. I wouldn't want to be here without you."
Congratulations to Katherine, and to Sandra and Chandra on their nominations!

So happy for her, she deserved it more than anyone else. She worked her butt off and was phenomenal in this epi she submitted. Love what she said about her mom, and that hug with TR was pure love. I love their friendship, they have amazing chemistry even in real life.

Just out of curiousty I went on Katherine's message board on imdb.com just to see what other thought of her winning the emmy. Boy, I lot of people didn't think she deserved it.[Granted it could have been the same person just using different screenames]
Anyhoo, I am just happy that anyone from Grey's won. Just wish it would have been Sandra or Chandra though.
Oh well, she really rocked it in Season 2 and I think that's what they were based on.

I believe that Katherine Heigl shouldn't have one the Emmy.
I believe that the Emmy's are officially a joke.
I believe that this is the beginning of the end.
I believe that Katherine Hiegl is going to demand a red carpet no matter where she walks.
I believe that I have never valued Isaiah 'getting fired' more than I have today.
I believe that Sandra should just walk away when she has a chance.
And I believe that believing these makes me an intelligent person and by saying that I believe that I have the belief that this whole thing is just a joke.

Sunday, September 16, 2007 â€" a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by bad taste and acting ability of Katherine Hy-gel.
The United States was at peace with the fact that she could not act and, at the solicitation of Academy of Arts, was still in conversation with the various television and movie distributors looking toward the keeping her off television entirely.
Indeed, one hour after Hy-gel won, a plane crashed in Thailand and OJ was arrested. While this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue giving out Emmys based upon talent and acting, it contained no threat or hint of realism or acting merit.
It will be recorded that the tragedy that was her performance makes it obvious that the this bullshit was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During the intervening time, the Emmy people has deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for continued good acting on television.
The attack today on the American taste has caused severe damage to American television and cinema forces. Very many American lives have been lost. In addition, American acting talent has been reported torpedoed on a grand scale between Las Angeles and New York City.

I said it before and I'll say it again....why doesn't anyone think she desevered the emmy? She's a great actress on the show but in real life...well she just like every other famous person, she thinks she can say whatever she wants because she's famous. But if you push all of that aside, that girl rocks it on Grey's Anatomy and that's why she won.

I did not want KH to win. I didn't like her character at all on Grey's Anatomy this season. I feel that SO and CW were more deserving. But Whatever. Onto the SAGs and Golden Globes.

I AM SO FUCKIN' GLAD THAT GREY'S ANATOMY DID NOT WIN BEST DRAMA SERIES. Seriously. I used to love Grey's, but I can confidently say that they do not deserve to win. Just like Katherine Heigl who had to sleep with a few of the Emmy accountants so she could achieve her dream. Way to go, Miss Hy-gel.

If you have a legitimate criticism that's one thing but really most of these comments are simply hateful and petty. Why are you making yourselves so upset watching a show and keeping up with news on it if it makes you so miserable you have to post this kind of stuff? I just don't get it.

Wow! This borad is an ugly shade of green. I say congrats to Katherine on her Emmy win. I was hoping one of the gals from GA would win and I'm glad it was her. Personally she should have one last year because she was incredible during the whole Denny storyline. Yeah, she had some annoying moments this season, but only a few. The storyline with her donating bone marrow to her daughter was fantastic. And she really did an excellent job and is deserving of her win!
Sandra Oh and Chandra Wilson are incredible actresses and they too would have deserved to win. But the way this board is trashing Katherine is immature and ridiculous. Grow up. Congrats Katherine on your win and to Sandra and Chandra and TR for your much deserved nomination.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. If people want to vent, let them vent. If people want to praise, let them praise. This is not a one-sided board. And just because people are fans of shows, does not mean they have to like all the characters or actors/actresses.

Katherine Heigl abandoned us ink types backstage after her big win for Supporting Actress, Drama. Remember when folks gave me a hard time for stirring things up, Isaiah Washington-wise, at this year's Globes show?
Well, Katy-babe was the true rebel in that sitch, telling myriad electronic outlets how wrong it was that Isaiah used the F-word in his response to my question about whether or not the cast had moved on, and she wasn't even directly nominated! This year, she nabs the top prize, and she's a no show? Darling, think of the coverage you coulda got at that one this year. Or did your peeps advise otherwise?

I don't think she deserved to win.
However, I'm sure the fact that she was in a movie this summer that did very well at the box office probably had something to do with it. It's all about money and marketability... actors/actresses get the kudos when they're hot, not because they are the best.

ok wow there are alot of haters.. personally i think that katherine heigl is a great actress and that maybe because you all don't really like her character doesnt necessarily mean she's a terrible actress... katherine heigl is one of my favorite actresses and i think she really deserved this..
ps. her hug with t.r. knight.. omg wow. they are true true friends and clearly love each other alot.. can't wait to see where they go on grey's this season!

There sure are a lot of haters on this board. That is really too bad. It's one thing to express an opinion, but to say she had to f*** the "Emmy Accountants" to win is just pure hatred and immaturity. I'm not saying everyone on this board are required to love the gir, but my goodness, it's not her fault she won. I really wanted Kyra Sedgwick to win best actress, but I'm not going to trash Sally Fields and say she had to spread her legs to win. The emmy voters voted for who they thought were the best. She won. Sorry if folks here are jealous. That is just my opinion. Way to go Katherine!
