It was weird seeing them as residents! I predict that Lexie and George are going to become best friends, Callie is going to be pregnant and will step down as chief and miranda will take over.

What the hell was with Alex's hair? He looked really weird. And what the hell is Mark Sloan still doing there? Meredith and Derek better stay together cause I can't take it. haha

Lexie talks just like Meredith, its creepy. And I loved how Meredith just snubbed here..and I also loved when they all yelled at the new interns for trying to hang out in their place..Izzie was the funniest. Overall, it was a good episode but its gonna take some getting used to!!

    The Season Premier Was GREAT!!!
I was very pleased. It felt good- a long time coming...

  3. Ilove Burke! Says:

    I LOVE GREY'S ANANTOMY
seriously I do. It was SO AWESOME.
Meridith and Derek: HOT HOT SEX... as always
George and Izzie: I love the idea of the two of them together, BUT POOR CALLIE. The girl doesnt need to have her heart broken
Lexie: Was fiesty and ALOT like her sister. I like her, and George does. I think Christina and Derek will like her too inspite of themselves. Meridith wont give her a chance because Meridith cant even stand herself
Ales: The star of the episode! He' s STALKING Ava. But he did such a good job! I loved how he jumped on it to save that guy. BUT THE BEST PART OF THE EPISODE was when he conforted Christina in a way that only Alex Karev can. He took care of her without making it so obvious that she would refuse his help. He's grown so much
Christina: Will be all right. Her fiasco with Burke has clearly made her a better doctor (the way she talked to the patient was fantastic).
Baily and Chief: Baily loves her five interns, and its hard to watch them suffer under Callies rule. However, the cheif is right. He wants Baily to focus on her craft. Baily needs to learn what the attending already know; the cheif knows what he's doing when he makes PROFESSIONAL assignments... now... if he could get his PERSONAL life together
Mark: Really does care about Derek, and inspite of bad history, both of them WILL learn and grow.

  4. Firefly Says:

    Oh My God !!
I'm sooo happy about the opener,- It was crazy, funny, sad,.. going back to it's roots I'd say,.. I loved them as residents and having a taste of "Being Bailey",.. loved them dissing Callie, even the George/ Izzie scenes weren't annoying ! (so happy about that btw).
So many great scenes,- Izzie telling off her interns,- yay Izz !! Mark wanting Derek back,- LMAO !! Christina finally realizing what Burke REALLY meant to her,... poor girl,...
But my favorite part was Dereks defensiveness of Mer to Mark. I'm glad they wrote in that he finally "gets" her,.... and enough to let her fake break up with him to edge in a little closer, cuz we all know that having things up in the air is Mer's comfort zone.
    Great start Grey's writers !!

  5. DarkandTwistyLee Says:

I was beyond pleased with this episode. Especially at the end with George telling Izzie that he loves her. I was a bit sad with McDreamy and Mer breaking up, but I think they'll get back together at some point. If they're really meant to be. I'm glad Mark's staying, I always found him funny. But Alex needs a shave... Lexie is freaking cool. The part with Izzie shocking that deer was hilarious.
    Excellent work, Shonda!!

  6. Megan Says:

I loved the whole episode, especially the George and Izzie thing. They are so wonderful together! I started jumping up and down, go Gizzie!

The MerDer thing was a bit depressing though.

  7. vicki Says:

notice how Izzie made a point to say 17 days ...maybe they are throwing time in there so you get a feell that not a lot of time has passed since the end of season 3 .... so maybe Izzie's the one thats pregnant and not Callie like they'd lead you to believe .... hmmmm, thoughts anyone????

  8. Maire Says:

I would be so happy if Izzie was pregnant, a little George and Izzie baby would be so cute.

  9. ALYSSA Says:

I loved it except the AUDIO. Why are they whispering and mumbling so much? Or was it my feed. I couldn't tell if Meredith and Derek were breaking up, or what they said. I also couldnt hear what Derek told Christina about Burke after he said "turned in his resignation....". anyone else?

  10. Lacey Says:

I totally agree with you Firefly! I loved the entire episode... I just hope they don't focus too much on the interns! I just want to know about our GA crew! I love the last scene with MerDer... Much needed!

  11. Vic's dream world Says:

I loved this episode. Izzie saving a deer...that is so like her. Lexie was nice and she did sound just like Meredith. I agree...what was with Alex's hair. I loved the Sloan part, wanting Derek back...that was hilarious. I especially loved the ending...i think George & Izzie will make a great couple.

    BTW, My audio was fine.

  12. Kim W Says:

I agree, I was pleased with the episode. It was was not over the top like they were trying too hard, it was great. I am a big fan of George and Izzie, I can understand why some are not, but I can't wait to see how things work out for them. I love TR, he is such and amazing actor. The Mer/Der "break up sex" was awesome but I don't want to see them just be f**k buddies, they both deserve better than that. Can't wait till next week! Thank God for TiVo I am gonna watch it again tonight ;)

  13. Lanie Says:

Love the george and izzzie combo, but they need to steam it up a little, draw out them really getting together a little longer.........Don't like the character of Meredith's sister (BOOORING). Derek and Meredith stay together, but, there has to be some "conflict"/"yearning" because People will get bored with happily ever after for too long...............
I'm tired of the poor put upon Callie. Nobody likes her, BOO HOO. I like her character, but am over her pity party. Glad McSteamy stayed on, but, hope they give his character a little more depth, and make him slightly more likeable/vulnerable.

  14. Kathy Says:

I thought last night was great! GA is definately back! There were so many things in last nights episode that I really liked and one of my favorites was Mer/Der at the end. They won't actually break up.....they love each other and I am SO GLAD that Derek finally gets Meredith! I loved it when he told Mark off...letting him know what Meredith had gone through! At least now we know Mer/Der are on the same page. I think Der will wait for Meredith.....until she gets her act together!

  15. izzie23456789 Says:

I hate George and Izzie - that's sooo much grap! Sometimes I ask myself if Shonda Rhimes actually has a life of her own to write such bullshit! Sorry, first of all: you don't fall into love with all your roomates. And second: when you are such good friends like Izzie and George than EITHER u feel such a connection pretty much at the beginning or NEVER... but not like that...it is just not working.. only in such stupid shows like Melrose Place!
So... everybody who loves this grap is so far from real life situations... as nobody - except of Britney Spears who has NO Brain.. marries and realizes two days later that he is actually in love with another person... except you marry to stay in a country!

  16. Jacc Says:

Why is Cristina numbering her interns not in quotes section? :(

  17. Suz Says:

OK, sorry to be rude, Izzie, but you are full of it. I fell in love with my best friend and though we had the very deeep friendship connection like Gizzie had, it took us 5 years to fall in llove. My best friend amrried her guy best friend and it took them 4 years to fall in love. I could go on and on about it. It happens all the time, not everyone has love at first sight.

And before you forget, those three seasons were just one year and I have thought Izzie had feelings for George since Callie first got into the picture in season 2, so falling in love with someone after a few months makes perfect sense.

I wonder if some of the Gizzie haters have ever had a relationship or know anything about life with the things they say.

I have to say that best friends do make the best lovers and Gizzie proves that.

    They are amazing!

  18. Lisa Says:

I'm a big fan of Grey's Anatomy but I don't share most reviewers' glowing praise for Season 4.
Episode One was a far cry from "shiny happy people holding hands" and the relative levity only seemed so in contrast to a heavy Season 3.

If any GA writers are reading this, I have a comment to make that hopefully won't sound preachy: My husband I both find GA has become increasingly and disturbingly devoid of morals, to the point that it's like watching a train wreck without any emotional investment in who survives.

The George/Izzie/Callie triangle is sickening. What message are you sending to viewers when an innocent woman is the constant target of abuse from other women, apparently because she isn't a blonde supermodel?

I am way past tired of seeing Callie get the Mean Girls treatment. It's time for her to stand up for herself and knock Izzie off her high, adulteress horse.

I'd love to see Callie leave George for someone who actually has a backbone.

And seriously, how anyone can champion Izzie's romance is beyond me. One minute she's grieving over the supposed love of her life, the next minute she's got her knickers in a knot because her best friend is married and apparently GA writers expect us to cheer Izzie on as she
brazenly tries her best to destroy a marriage without so much as a hint of a guilty conscience.

I guess I'm the old-fashioned type who'd still like to believe that marital vows mean something. And that having a darker complexion doesn't mean it's ok to get used and abused.

I'd love to see Callie wipe the smile off Izzie's face.
    I can't understand why

And what message does it send about marriage when vows are reduced to a joke, and where

  19. Lisa Says:

Damn! All those pithy comments were supposed to end with "used and abused." Please ignore the rest! Mia culpa.
