Congrats to the cast and congrats to Sandra, Chandra, T.R and Katherine. They all deserved it because in my opinion all of these guys are the most over-looked and underated actors on the show.

I hope they win for best drama and even though I like all of the grey's people that were nominated I hope that T.R or Chandra win. Either way, I'll be watching for the first time ever just to see.

  2. cleo Says:

TR and Katherine should be grateful to IW for their nod. Sandra must win!

  3. rrs Says:

Well Shonda Rhymes, you managed to keep Patrick Dempsey & Ellen Pompeo out of the Emmy Nominations. Way to "BURN IT ALL DOWN"!! The other nominees are great supporting actors (mainly Sandra Oh) but w/out PD & EP, kiss the show goodbye.

  4. Mandy Says:

    well deserved to all..

i hope TR Knight and Katherine Heigl win..but i woulddn't be upset to see one of the other two girls win ;)

  5. Kathy Says:

Well, really disappointed that Patrick and Ellen didn't get nominated!! I really felt like they would be this year because they were not nominated last year either. I know they are great actors but maybe because there were so many actors and actresses in this category this year, that it was hard to break it down to the top best. Thats what I 'm thinking. We all know Patrick and Ellen did a great job this year, especially during the 3 arc episodes. But that ok.......last year they were nominated for Golden GLobes, Sag and PD was nominated for People's Choice. So they still have a chance to win an individual award this year! Lets hope so!

  6. lilkatie79 Says:

Although there's always hope, I think this year is the year of The Sopranos, which means its going to be a predictable, boring awards season.

I am thrilled that Katie Heigl made it in (she was majorly snubbed last year when she should've won for the S2 finale). I'm glad for Sandra and Chandra and TR, too, but where are Ellen, Patrick, Kate Walsh and James Pickens??? They all had great performances, especially Ellen with Kate Burton - another snub for a Grey's gal. Ugh!

  7. perLiiieee Says:

wht is with PD and EP and KW?!!

  8. hafsa Says:

Hmm, what can one say to this? i am happy for grey's but frankly i am also very disappointed on so many different levels. I think sandra oh or chandra wilson have a very high chance of winning.

  9. Haley Dempsey Says:

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CANT BELIEVE THIS!!!!!! EP&PD&KW!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH THIS IS SO UNFAIR although i say it is unfair...CONGRATS GREY'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i dont think kate was nominated because of her new show

o well be gratefull they got nominated:)

  10. aha Says:

I would really like to see SO or CW win the award! The other two castmembers - well I don't really see how or why they got the nominations but since I like neither their characters nor the actors I guess I am a bad judge...

As for the best drama series...I really did not like the last season so I hope that House wins and it would be really cool if Hugh Laurie would get the Emmy!

  11. curious Says:

I swear to GOD its Shonda's fault, how can actors act when there is notting to act for but to look frustrated and sad all the time? the bad writing was enough and now this? seriously!!! I feel sorry for EP and PD aarrgggrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. tets Says:

Ellen had a good season. Too bad she wasn't recognized. I hope either SO or CW win.

  13. Alex Says:

Ellen should have been nominated. she is such a good actress. But go grey's

  14. Meeli Says:

Congratulation to the entire cast.I really hope they win for best drama. I think Kate Burton who plays merdith's mom will win.She was really good.Im happy for TR,Chandra and Katherine for their nominations but i must say Sandra will definitely WIN.. .That girll is good. Also, im a little disappointed not to see (Ellen Pompeo) meredith and (Derek)patrick on the list.. Overall ..what can i say...WAY TO GO, GREY'S ...WAY TO GO!! cant wait til season 4 begins

  15. Ashlynn Says:

No Ellen or Patrick who decides this anyway?

  16. rrs Says:

    TOTALLY agree w/you, curious...seriously!!

  17. Amanda Says:

Ellen and Patrick got snubbed big time...but I am more upset about Ellen not getting a nomination...I mean did the people who decide who's nominated not see the scenes with Meredith and her mother...I mean that's the tape that Ellen sent in that scene from Wishin' and Hopin', how could they have overlooked that? That was BRILLIANT acting by Ellen...then she did an amazing job in the drowning episiodes...and she also did a fantastic job with the scenes with her and Thatcher, and her and Susan....I mean I thought she was amazing in Seasons 1 and 2, and she doesn't get any recognition for it, but this year, she was amazing...she grew so much as an actress, and you would of thought she would have got recognition for that, but of course she doesn't...it's so unfair....this is complete bullshit if you ask me.

  18. Andy Says:

Ellen pompeo made season 3 worth watching, with all the not so good parts she was given.
I can't believe she wasn't recognised, not fair, not fair at all. I would be devistated and sad and very very hurt if I was in her shoes now.

  19. Amanda Says:

Andy, I totally agree...she made it worth watching this season, because this season wasn't as great as the first 2...and considering what she was given to work with, I think she did a phenomenal job...I just feel so bad for her...because she never gets any recognition for her acting.

  20. hafsa Says:

Who are the people that decide the nominations?Ellen did a great job with portraying meredith character, only a good actor can do that. However, i think there is alot of competition in the category of best actors. Even so, they should have recognised her, i cant imagine the disappointment ellen is going thru right now.

  21. greymutter Says:

Are you listening Shonda and writers???
The last part of your season 3 was a big bore/snore of not so great melodramatic writing.
Please please please give your cast members Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo material worthy of their talent, skill, and chemistry.
As you know, drama and romantic comedy can live together. Please get back to it and drop your MULTI -SIMULTANEOUS cheap plot twist angst.
PS noticed no writing Emmy nominations for Grey's - what a surprise...

  22. messedup Says:

the emmy's didn't forget patrick or ellen. they're just saving the best for last.

they'll get nominated sooner or later

  23. Meva Says:

So glad for everyone, especially Sandra and TR, they had a fabulous year. I am disappointed about Ellen but the competition was just too tough I guess. I love patrick, but I don't think he did anything that phenomenal this year.

  24. Bonnie Says:

I also though Patrick and Ellen both did a great job with what they were given to work with. I think Justin also get's over looked he does a great job playing Alex. I want Grey's to win and TR. I can't decide between Sandra and Chandra either.

  25. buckhead Says:

I think the reason why patrick wasn't nominated is because the writers aren't giving him really good storylines. Like there's no dept to his "mcdreamy" character. Patrick an amazing actor(watch/rent once and again and you'll see what I mean).

So, once the grey's writers decide to give his character some dept like a really storyline then he'll get that nomination that he so rightfully deserves.

As for ellen, I have no idea what her sunb was all about. She was amazing in season two and even better in season three considering the writers wrote those god awful ferry boat epsiodes. Just alone on that she should get somekind of award.
