I had a similar situation happen to me at my place of business. It was said that I was a danger and threat to the other person. I attended counseling and of course was deemed safe to again enter the workplace. But, the stigma remained and for those who knew me well (family) it was a big joke. But, we are a minority and if they feel like we are a threat, we are a threat. The thing I learned was not to let them have that much power of my emotions. It is still a form of control and believe me they use it well. Be encouraged and always count to ten, twenty, thirty, forty.... (smile)
Okay, Isaiah Washington just lost status with me, playing the sad race card. I didn't like that he was fired but I can't stand it when people use their race as an excuse. I'm a minority and don't cry racism when things don't go my way, I don't start crying its because of my race.

Bill is the only person who has responded in a logical manner. It is disappointing that one of the strongest characters (Burke) contract was not renewed. As Bill pointed out - he was not fired. There surely are reasons for his firing that the public will never be enlightened with - especially if it was motivated by race. This is just opinion; but IW is upset and probably devasted by his loss. When upset many people lash out at others - doesnt this fit with the stages of grief? Anger is usually the first stage. Since he is a celebrity any direction or path he chooses to deal with his loss will be public. Unfortunately those of us with the extra time and opions will pathetically comment on a TV show and fictional character. Although that is pathetic, I do feel he is a great loss to the show as the chemistry of all the characters together made the show exceptional.

Preston Burke was an integral part of the show, and I'm very, very disappointed that ABC didn't renew IW's contract. As for who is telling the truth, it's going to be a cat-and-mouse game. I don't mind hearing Isaiah's side of the story because we've heard TK's side already.
IW's claims may seem incredulous at first, but who are we to judge...we'll probably never know what really went on. Let's just hope that the show reverts back to what made us love GA (as in Season 1 & 2), because honestly, season 3 wasn't that great!

i ahve to agree to Girl 28 opinion that season 3 is not as great as season 1 and 2....so i expect worst for season 4 if DR PRESTON BURKE is not there....vote for Isaiah Washington for season 4
Of course he's angry and upset, the fans are, too. He would be lying if he said he wasn't. ABC lead him to believe he would be coming back. They gagged him but allowed TK and KH to speak freely with no consequences. People clamed to want to know what happened, but yet they choose to believe two people who weren't even there when ithe disagreement with PD and IW happened. He wasn't blaming anyone, he was telling what happened, and he also took responsibility for the things he did wrong. The reason people don't want to believe him is because they were wrong for making a quick judgment before hearing both sides, and it's easier for them to believe it's not true than to say they were wrong.

The BRAINWASHING has hit a WHOLE new level!!
There was a time when we could all believe what we want. Now..those of us who think sex between people of the same sex is, well, not natural, are being told "WE CAN'T BELIEVE THIS WAY" by hollywood and politcal figures. We're even being called names; (homophobic). I can tell you right now, I have NO phobia's about homosexuality. I don't FEAR it, whatsoever!!! So stop calling ME names.....in fact...if you ever work for me....I'll FIRE you for calling me a HOMOPHOBIC because that is OFFENSIVE to me!!! If I don't want to embrace men's sexual behavior with other men....I DON'T HAVE TO!!! LEAVE ME ALONE, HOLLYWOOD!!! For those of you who have fallen victim of our wonderful media here in America, Do NOT apologize if you once thought homosexuality was unnatural. It's okay to disagree with it. It's NOT okay to treat homosexuals poorly....you simply DO NOT HAVE TO EMBRACE IT if you choose not to. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO EMBRACE other types of sex acts if you don't want to EITHER!!
