The Forbes "Celebrity 100" list has been unveiled and Grey's Anatomy is hot - and we're not just talking about Patrick Dempsey's good looks for once.
Every year, Forbes scours the universe of the famous, unearthing the 411 on the top earners and the media darlings, because its Celebrity 100 measures not only how much celebrities get paid, but what kind of media and public attention is being paid to them.
"The whole reason we came up with the list is, it is too simple to say, 'Who earned the most money?' Then you just have a bunch of jocks at the top," explains Dennis Keanle, Managing Editor of Forbes.
"But what if you want to compare an athlete to a chef, or a fashion model against an actress? You ought to look at how they do on Google hits, in magazines, and how they do on covers. That's what the Forbes list does. It gives a relative ranking of power and hotness, based in part on earnings."
In addition to Grey's Anatomy (a new entry to the list at No. 12 with cast earnings of at least $33 million combined), Desperate Housewives came in at No. 47 with its four female stars earning a total of $16 million.
The Grey's Anatomy cast could rise even higher this coming year (even with the loss of Isaiah Washington) with many major cast members getting big raises and bonuses, and some even receiving portions of the series' profits.

What an honor for them. That is a lot of money and they deserve it for their talent. I wish they would have used a better photograph of them. I have to say this and will most likely will hear about it. Patrick and Ellen look nice and cosy this is the way I like to see them. They look like a perfect couple. I said looked not are before someone gives me an ear full.

What a great honor! I love to see the show and cast being honored for things. GA is such a favorite by so many people! I'm excited about all the upcoming awards shows! I really hope the individual cast members are recognized this year and the entire show continues to win the awards like they did last year! I really think they will win again as Best TV Drama. I just hope they win the individual awards too! I think in July the announcement will be made for those that will be nominated for an Emmy! I hope PD is nominated!
And I hope he wins too! He definately has my VOTE! As far as the pic above...I have to agree with everyone else......I love the Patrick and Ellen pose too! They are a great looking couple and you can see the fun that they have together whether they are Mer/Der or Patrick/Ellen!! So, I think its a great pic!

I was about to say the same about ellen and partrick. I always feel happy when i see those two together, it just that ...... LOL! dont get me wrong, i know nothing will ever happen but it doesnt hurt to dream sometimes. *sigh* Mcdreamy!!!
