You are so right, Bayfront, and unfortunately it once again calls into question the racial issue and the public's immediate assumption that the angry Black man must be in the wrong.

If he was lying, Billy. That is the question. I still maintain that he did not lie at the Golden Globes and that TR Knight took advantage of this opportunity to go on Ellen in a play for media attention and sympathy at the expense of Isaiah.
Burke Backer Says:

All I can say is it is about time that Isaiah has said something in his own defense. This has been an appallingly one sided presentation of supposed facts. Isaiah was not allowed to tell his side and TR went on television and made interviews in pro gay magazines to tell his. How many times do both Isaiah and Patrick have to say that this was not a physical assault. It never went beyond words according to all those present. By the way, neither TR nor Katherine Heigl, by their own admission, were present.
This is getting crazy. I think that at this point IW needs to let it go. If this is really what happened, then why was that not the story in the beginning. I have no idea what really happened that day, but if this was what really happened then why not have said that all along. I mean he denies that he said the word twice, then he did say the word but he is sorry, now it was not aimed at TK and TK made this whole situation what it is. That is a lot ot swallow. I do not buy it. I think that it would be best for all the people involved if they would just move on.

I can't help recalling these movies: To kill a mockingbird, A view to a kill, True crime. Truth is expedient, truth is relative. Media is selling the truth it wants to sell, whether distorted, biased or colored. IW was condemned at GG for denying using the F word, in his denial statement, he made the mistake of uttering the F word. The mere utterance makes him a homophobic, and a liar. That's the truth some media is selling. That's the truth his haters want to believe.

I think he's being a little ridiculous. He's just making himself sound like a total a-hole. 1) Even if he didn't direct the word at T.R., he shouldn't have said it in the first place, especially in the workplace. 2) He's saying that he only did the PSA and the other things just so he could keep his job which makes him sound like a total "donkey"

This is about personal responsibility. IW should not have said what he said the first time and he sure as hell should have kept his mouth shut at the Golden Globes. Chances are, this would have passed relatively easy. But HE opened his mouth, HE used the slur, and HE is paying for it. It's as simple as that. Isaiah Washington made his own bed, and he seems to be having trouble laying in it.

As much as I love and support Isaiah, I think now's not the right time to come out and speak of the truth cos it'll make him look like a sore loser. I believe he has been wrongly dismissed, and I'm disgusted with Knight and Heigl for making use of a castmate's plight to gain popularity and pay increases. But I also feel that Isaiah should let the whole matter rest for the time being... It won't do much for his image if he's seen as a sour grape.

At least Isaiah was/is trying to clear his name but geesh man the show is just soo ruined for me now because the actors are letting their true colors show. What happened to the cast just being happy that they were employed and working on a hit t.v show that had great writers?!?

GA will never be the same a lot of people's passion for the show (compared to last summer) has faded away. In Europe the view rates for S3 dropped. This should be a sign to Shonda!! Don't push your luck girl and keep in mind that it is us the viewers that makes the success of a show.

IW has every right to be heard, if he wants to talk fully about what happened now, let him do so! For months he stood by the gag order imposed on him and the others by ABC and where did that get him? KH and TRK flagrantly disobeyed the rules and in doing so gained public support for TRK and boosted KH's new movie. And IW? Why he became one of the most hated actors in the US! Fat lot of good keeping quiet did him right? Now he wants to tell his side/ voice his opinion. It might not help matters much but if it makes him feel better, if at least he feels he has been heard then that should be good enough for everyone. "Moving on already!" sounds like the sensible mature positon to take right? Of course its easier if YOUR career and livelihood were not on the line; we can all go to bed at night knowing we have our jobs tomorrow, knowing we are not being judged by people we work with or meet, HE can't. So let the man defend himself in the only he knows, give him time to heal and move on in HIS own way not as dictated by those who are not walking in his shoes.
Like I said these networks are such hypocrites. Look at Paris Hillton, she used a racist and homophobic slur and the networks are battling to get an interview from her and pay her huge dollars for it.
And this "we are family" is all a bunch of bulls***, it's all for one and one for all. The community should definitely stop watching ABC.
His image? His image has been damaged. Its time for him to speak out, ABC screwed him over and bascially the black community. No, as far as I'm concerned, now is not the time to let go. I knew TR and KH had an agenda, I've been saying it all along. TR knew his secret would eventually get out, so why not use this to come out and blame someone for doing it and get the sympathy. Look at Clay Akien. How many times has someone said he was guy, and he has yet to admit it. And KH, well we all know what she was after, whether you want to admit it or not.
